APWNN has a story line which can result in a decent script. If I was the executors/Sony , I would find a writer to do a decent script. Then I would hire top (A list) director and actor and actress to do the short film. Such A-list names would be enough for the video to go viral and probably chart the single on streaming/video play alone.

They have done quite a lot "We love you MJ" videos with people dancing to MJ songs with previous footage of MJ inserted in. They need to do something different this time IMO.

Exactly. Like I said APWNN can work great with a "point of view" video. Lyrics are very inviting to get creative. I hope they don't do another "tribute" video. I'm kind of tired of these.

I can probably bet on it, we know what the estate ALWAYS do, the video will be a mashup of old videos, maybe in the style of Hollywood Tonight, but imagine a hologram video?

I like the idea of a studio footage from that session (if it exists) but I still prefer a story accompanying the song. Both are good ideas

Indeed; I have said very similar statements in the past:

Chicago, APWNN, and LY! How is this happening? Streaming, radio play, purchases, or a combination of all?

Estate/Sony can capitalize on that with videos. Imagine a mystical video for APWNN? All videos for these three songs should be story line videos with Michael's vocals as narration.

Actually, a video for each song would be great. When the holiday season begins, one can purchase "Xscape-the visual dvd" along with the cd that would include extras (Tricky Stewart's STTR mix, LNFSG mixes by LeGran and Jackie Jackson, Xscape with Tupac, HFITS, etc).

I thanked your post but, I disagree with another mix of Chicago for pop radio. To make it more friendly, a video should be done and I believe it should be in a story line form with Michael's vocals as narration. That video can star movie actors that are easily recognizable and likable instead of lesser known models and such. I believe they should do the same with APWNN because that video can be amazing! With LY, I dare say a duet with Chrisette Michelle or a dance video; tap in particular.

Apologies: I want to change my thought for LY. It could be a dance video with different dance genres; maybe starting with the grace of Astaire/Rogers to more modern styles. One can use available movie/video clips, or hired dancers re-enacting those styles. If tap only, it would center on two featured dancers going through different scenarios or scenes. Either way, video would really push these songs as evident with LNFSG and STTR.

Estate/Sony: the fan base has very good ideas you can capitalize on to continue the success of Xscape. Make it so!

Ivy,i was going to post the exact same thing. Instead of a duet, they should get a famous actor/actress to appear in the video and lend their star power to draw more attention to the song. They could really get creative here.

Love the choice of APWNN as the second single. It showcases Michael's vocal nicely and that's what I want the focus to be on.

All they need to do is develop an interesting storyline for the video and with a strong push promotion wise I think we could have a #1 with this song.

I also agree, no more spliced footage of MJ from his previous videos, they need to get creative now.

Not the right choice as far as I'm concerned. It's an odd song. I feel like the music doesn't match up to the vocal track somehow. Musically, not up to Michael's standard. Much prefer the demo.

I doubt this would be very successful. I'd love to be wrong though, despite my feelings about the song.

For the director, I would love James Cameron. But I'm not sure if he would be interested, available or affordable. For the actors, perhaps they could use some of the kids who were in The Hunger Games? But a lot depends on the script and budget. There are so many ways to go with this. If they go for something darker, perhaps Robert Downey Jr or Jared Leto would be good along with the the woman who won the best supporting actress this year Lupita Nyong'o

In our little fantasy it's really hard to say which actors / actresses should be in it. Perhaps a better approach is to ask which actors/actresses are MJ fans and would take part in a video without payment - because honestly I don't see Estate/Sony spending millions on a video.

I'd love a surprise from the estate etc with this - perfect second single - but I can imagine the video now. Some unknown dancer drives a jeep around while clips of Black or White and Jam play on billboards. Basically every video they've made so far except this time with a jeep.

Unfortunately, second, third & fourth singles from albums don't tend to chart anymore unless you're Rhianna for some reason.

So don't expect much in terms of that, unless it gets covered on an X Factor type show and I don't think any of them are on at the moment.

An animated video would be best, I imagine something like Leave Me Alone for the first half with jeep breaking down mixed with JT's Senorita for the second.

Disappointed but happy for the project.

Me too, because I was hoping STTR would be next since snippets of it were used for the Sony phone, then the big hoopty doo at the Billboard Awards.

APWNN had to grow on me; it wasn't one of my most-played on the album.

On Spotify it's the third most listened to song from the album after LNFSG and STTR. LNFSG is obviously first because it's a single. STTR is second I'm sure because of the hologram. It has about 3.5 million listens. APWNN has now, without any promotion for this song, 3.3 million listens.

As far as I see APWNN and Chicago seem to be really popular with casual fans and the general public.

I kind of agree with you about that animated thingy. What is the video if MJ is not in it?
Tribute video is a little too much, to get someone else in the video doesn't sound right if MJ is nowhere to be seen, so make it animated MJ a la Leave Me Alone.

If it is going to be real and not animated, they could get funding from Jeep.
Jeep used LNFSG in their summer ads, and they could extend their their advertising on this video too

There is Jeep mentioned in the lyrics already so they can collaborate. The estate shows Jeep in the video and Jeep company pays "actors" (Beyonce and Jay Z)

Please NO duet this time. I get it that it could make a song more popular but one was enough. Even if it means the song will be less successful than LNFSG I'm not for making APWNN a duet at all. I want to listen to MJ on the radios, not some other artist singing his songs.

If they do choose to have a duet then it will confirm what I suspected. They have con confidence in MJ to have a successful single on his own

IMO animation can be used in more playful song … as for APWNN it seems more serious to me so I’d love to see good actors in the video.

Where is that duet talk coming from?
LNFSG was duet in the album, so that's ok, but there were no other duets, so I doubt they make duets of the songs that weren't in the album in duet form.
