Well, Shana's book is on Google Books and it seems worse than I imagined. This will not help Michael, I am sorry. First of all the Kirkus review was right even though she tried to say somehow they took her words out of context. Well, they did not. Actually it in context it sounds worse IMO. See for yourself:
She actually constantly makes weird little innuendos regarding MJ and children, with no apparent reason, other than probably giving tabloids a hook to get them interested in her book. It seems to me she is trying to pull a Taraborelli: playing with such little innuendos to get tabloids interesed while hoping that fans would be dumb enough not to realize or overlook them just for the juicy sex fantasies she is telling about herself and MJ.
Here is another which just seems totally unnecessary to make it sound so shady but she does:
Just like on her social media she sounds extremely narcisstic. She brags about her good looks and famous Hollywood men having a crush on her left and right, yet she turned down all of them because she was waiting for Michael even though Michael just paid her dust over and over again. LOL. Tataiana's book was fan fiction as well, but at least she kept it cute. But Shana actually sounds vindictive. Nothing in this book makes MJ look good. It is filled with the vindictiveness of a narcisstic person who just cannot imagine a man simply not being attracted to her and not wanting her. The suggestion through the book seems to be: "Something must be wrong with Michael because he was not interested in me. ME! Can you guys imagine that?"
Well, she does claim they had sex. But even in that MJ is made look like some sort of creep and basically a dog who just used her for sex then threw her away and did not even recognize her later. She claims their first time sex happened when she was 26. She claims she was a virgin and never even kissed before. LOL, yeah. She totally looks like that type. LMAO. Even there she needs to insert little unnecessary innuendos like this:
"I couldn’t think of anything more torturous than being alone with a man. I may have looked like a beautiful, sexy woman, but inside I felt twelve. Michael had clearly picked up on these insecurities of mine and it made him feel safe..."
It does make me wonder what is her goal with these. And LOL at her for describing
herself as "a beautiful, sexy woman". She is so full of herself, you can tell.
She is absolutely jealous of Lisa Marie. She constantly tries to downplay their marriage and relationship. She claims while they were married MJ called her one day before Lisa's birthday and told her he should have married her instead of Lisa. Interesting claim, considering that even after he divorced Lisa he married another woman, not Shana. And while being married to Debbie he was running around with Lisa, not Shana. And even when he divorced Debbie he never married Shana. He must have been sooooo in love with her. LOL. She gives weird explanations for why MJ married other women instead of her. Of course, none of those explanations is that he just was not interested in Shana Mangatal. LOL. He married Lisa because she was Elvis' daugher and supposedly MJ was obsessed with Elvis (When? She must have mistaken him for Nic Cage. LOL). And he married Debbie and not Shana because Debbie was blonde. LOL. (Never mind that there is no evidence MJ had an obsession with blondes. In fact, Diana Ross wasn't blonde, Lisa wasn't blonde.)
She is very judgemental and even hateful about MJ at times. She says in YANA MJ looked more feminine than Lisa, she makes remarks about his skin being too pale and how "schocking" it was for her to see MJ with those fake eyelashes and hairdo. She uses the word "schocking" to describe how MJ looked in that video. She claims Sony wanted her opinion about the video and she told them she thought the angel scene should be earsed because MJ looked too feminine and supposedly there was a scene where Lisa's breasts were visible so Shana told them that would be too much for TV. She was a nobody secretary at Sandy Gallin's office - why the heck would Sony want her opinion and advice about anything?

Shana working closely with Michael
This was completely out of the blue, however, We had been flirting with each other on the phone before this, and every time he came in for a meeting, but still . . . he had never asked me to do something like this.
Soon I realized he an ulterior motive.
He explained that he had written this song to be the theme song for The Addams Family movie and that a short film would soon be in the works with horror writer Stephen King attached. The record company had been pressuring him to write it and he kept putting it off. So, according to him, he had finally finished it and needed to get it to Sandy immediately.
We didn’t have e-mail back then or the Internet or even personal computers so dictating things and having them typed on a typewriter was common way to relay information. Other then faxing (which he could’ve easily done), this was the only way to send a document to someone quickly.
I scrambled to find the nearest paper and pen and told Michael I was ready. He began slowly reading the lyrics to me- his soft smooth, soothing voice lingering on every word. If any of the lines were any way sexual, he repeated them twice. At first, I wasn’t sure if he wanted me to write those lines twice. I asked, “Do you sing that line twice? He giggled and said, “Oh no. I was just saying that for you.” Most of the lines weren’t sexual at all, but the way he read them made them sound that way. If he said a word that he thought I might not understand, he would spell it out. When he came to the word “Addams.” he started spelling it out for me. He said, “You spell that A-D…hmmm, I don’t know how you spell that!”
After each line, he would patiently wait for me to say OK before he started the next one. In between some of the lines, for no reason at all, he would pause for over a minute and not say a word, even if I told him I was ready. I just sat and waited until he spoke again, listening to him breathe. It was strangely exciting.
It was a long song, taking up two pages of the notebook I was writing in. One line in particular that I distinctly remember was, “I’m hard as nails.” He repeated that one twice for sure. At this point, I was pretty certain what was going on.
Each song was filled with sexual double entendres and to my knowledge, none of these songs were ever officially released. I could always hear him breathing heavily as I recite the lyrics back to him. At the end, I’d ask if he wanted me to give these particular “songs” to anyone he would say no, that he just wanted to hear how they sounded. The Addams Family song was the only one he had asked me to give to Sandy. He told me not to tell anyone that he had even called. We never discussed what was actually happening. It was an unspoken understanding.
As I look back, I realize that this was his way of testing me-to see if he could trust me. I suppose he figured if I didn’t tell anyone about this, he could push the boundaries with me even further.
Hearing him say those lyrics to me made my stomach tingle with excitement. I had never had any type of relationship at this point, so this was major for me. I was in my twenties and had never even been kissed I was a very late bloomer, having been painfully shy my entire life. These feelings were all new. My mind was racing and in a daze after each of these sessions. Michael’s unpredictable behavior was confusing but that what excited me and kept me intrigued.
Even though I was having these intimate conversations with him, I still didn’t feel like I knew what his motivation was. For some reason I was afraid to ask questions that were too deep, afraid of scaring him off. So I just rolled with the punches.
While I am sure MJ flirted with women, but I do not believe he would do that in this vulgar way (“I’m hard as nails.” WTF?) And why the heck would he write sexual songs for the Addams Family? And how come no one ever heard about these songs, only Shana? MJ actually rarely wrote sexual songs, he was not Prince. LOL. And when he did (ITC) it was never vulgar like that.
Plotting to get Michael and Shana together
Back at the office, I spent most of my hours answering our busy phones and greeting visitors. It was a fun and easy job but the hours were long. Chatting with various characters that worked at the company is what kept things interesting.
Sandy had a loyal and longtime executive assistant named Sheila. She was older and caring, much like a mother figure. The moment she first saw me, she declared that I would make the perfect wife for Michael. I agreed with her, of course, and we had fun, discussing how we were going to achieve this. One day, after having enough of our daily meaningless chatter, she blurted. “That’s it. I’m going to call Michael’s assistant Norma right now and tell her I have found his wife.”
Always high-strung, Sheila bolted up to her office to call Norma Staikos. Michael’s longtime trusted assistant. About ten minutes later, she came back to my desk. “I called Norma. So now we’re both plotting to get you and Michael together. Don’t tell anybody. This is just between me, you and Norma.”
IMO Shana is a liar and not even a good one. Her story is all over the place, very inconsistent and ridiculous. She basically sounds like a groupie with a fantasy that she was trying to turn into reality and because it never happened in real life she is now trying to write herself into MJ's story and life by this book. I don't believe for a minute that MJ was interested in her beyond maybe a little flirting. That much I am willing to believe. The rest just sounds like a bad fan fiction.
I think Shana is vindictive because she wanted MJ and he did not want her. He was not stupid and did not like clingy, pushy women with no self-respect. Which I am sure Shana was - I don't fall for her ridiculous "shy virgin at 26" act. She is not that type. She absolutely is the pushy type who would deliberately place herself in positions and situations to be near MJ and be noticed by him. And I'd rather see her as the type who would sleep with any guy just to get ahead. Virginal, shy girl my a**. And MJ probably saw right through her as well. That's why he was not interested, not because something was wrong with him or because Lisa was Elvis' daughter and Debbie was blonde. Get a clue, girl!
