I meant to post about it at the time, but I was in Japan last month and Michael was everywhere.

I went to Universal Studios in Osaka where they were playing Thriller everywhere in the park over and over to tie in with their Halloween Horror Nights. There was also a cover version of Thriller playing.

I went to Tower Records in Tokyo which claims to be the largest music store in the world - whilst there I noticed a prominent MJ display and a handprint Michael himself left in cement from a visit in 1996.

Just a stone's throw from the Tower Records was a shop dedicated to Michael Jackson, filled with t-shirts and other MJ items.

I even found a small stall in a shopping market with all MJ merchandise including signed items - enjoyed browsing but didn't have deep enough pockets to purchase anything!

On my last day I stopped by Disneyland in the hope of finding even a trace of Captain EO but it seemed all merch etc. was long gone!

Japan definitely didn't seem to care at all about Leaving Neverland. I took lots of pics as well so if anyone wants to see the MJ stuff I can post.

Couple of other things I've remembered too. A small shop in Harajuku had a display of all little MJ models in their shop, they weren't for sale and there were signs saying not to take pictures.

Also in addition to Thriller playing everywhere at Universal Studios they have a ride called Hollywood Dream. It's a rollercoaster where each rider chooses their own soundtrack which is pumped through speakers on the rider's seat. There are only 5 tracks to choose from, no prizes for guessing which song I chose...

For fans in the UK, last night on I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here there was a segment where the campmates were talking about Michael.

Ian Wright and Caitin Jenner both spoke about MJ and other campmates asked about him or mimicked his dance moves/singing. Ian Wright in particular is clearly a fan and recalled seeing Michael live and how great he was.

Was really nice to see Michael being spoken about so positively on a major UK TV channel in a primetime slot on one of the most watched television shows going.
