Thriller 40th Anniversary

But my question is still: why celebrate the 40th anniversary of the album at all? Especially if you don’t have the budget! Why not wait for the 50th?

I'm assuming Sony have been asking them for years at this point to put out a music based product and they just crapped this out so they can say they've released something

I noticed and it annoyed me but I didn't mention it since I'm sure many people would think it's too pedantic. I think paying attention to details is professional, not pedantic. It's all the little details that add up. This might not be the most important thing but it is disheartening.
 
A week later and we still can’t buy Thriller 4K on itunes in the UK. Not available to stream
om Apple Music either.
 
but why wasnt Ciara allowed then? Not sure how this makes sense. I think its simply the complication of dealing with the hierarchy amd long communication chain of MJ estate..

If I recall correctly, Korgnex posted that Sony was pushing for Thriller 40 but the estate had no interest, and this was kinda thrown together to appease them. Apparently the two new songs were among those considered for MICHAEL and XSCAPE, hence why they already had the clearance to show up on disc 2.

If this is accurate, it’s astonishing that Sony has more of a passion for supporting MJ than his own estate. This on top of them not wanting remixes on Bad 25 speaks volumes.

Now see that is scary, it seems if we didn't have it in our personal collection - we are a bit jacked, cos we wont get find the original so easy out online again and Michael's being - was his short films. . Just only today i saw some you tube channel *tamper* with the opera Winfrey interview . it was a you tube short although they meant well , and although badly edited , and it lasted a min or so , it still becomes a fabrication of the truth.

That is true for anything that you don't own a readable physical copy for (by physical, I mean, it may be well-preserved files on hard drives). The Internet is ever-changing and no one is liable for preserving anything that some other people consider some kind of immutable legacy.

Something is going on where they're blocking mj from everything. They tried to tear him down with ln & still can't. I can't figure out wtf they have against him at this point! MICHAEL HAS THIS MUCH POWER IN DEATH? Something is definitely up & if u can't see it then...
 
Any idea if the bar code at 0:10 (bottom right) has any significance?
Tried to scan it, no success.

Unless they say they've been lost or destroyed, 90% of the time when they say they're "non-existent," they either mean "not transferred to digital" or "not in the hands of illegal collectors."

The bar code still appears further in the video. I think bar codes can only contain number, not letters (not sure).
 
Quick question as I'm just barely able to join the fun and dig into the various versions of T40 available today........I heard about the Atmos mixes on Apple which doesn't help me much since I don't really use Apple stuff/iTunes, but I do use Amazon Music Unlimited and read about 360 mixes being on there. This is likely gonna be a stupid question with an obvious answer, but are those 360 mixes different from the normal T40 tracks that are available to listen to? I've searched pretty thoroughly on there and I see no mention of 360 anything.....?

Well, I took a local screenshot, put it in Photoshop, removed color, improved constrat, reduced width by 50%, and my code bar app scanned:

If I look for in Brave Browser search bar, I find stuff about Apple TV Siri remote (2n generation) (no idea but I guess it's old.
But Brave Browser isn't necessarily a standard too so I tried in Google.
