Seriously! I'm now feeling hacked off that I missed out on the chalk, lol.i expected it to be in 480p xD... i would prefer chalk over this lyrics video.. at least we'd have something in our hands..
Pretty sure on the Apple TV box in Apple Music I got an Atmos mix of Thriller 4K, but I have to check again. If so, I wonder if they used the surround mix they made for Thriller 3D a couple of years ago.So thriller 4k has the original audio from previously 1983? Not mixed in dolby or anything?
We have the multitracks....isn't it possible for us to do? (I feel kinda stupid for even asking)
Yeah, and on eBay. But that's still on average a 20 dollar monetary sink, 40 if you want it brand new. That's for videos that are basically completely free online and in better quality now, versus a static sd box set. So not a good value exactly. You can buy the music video DVDs from Amazon US and UK.
Branca has the creative sense of a high school science teacher subbing for art.I think since the estate guys are old men they thought anime characters are very cool and popular so they asked the fiverr guy to include some cool anime people
I'm getting afraid seeing all the positive comments under the video... :O
Are you as geriatric as the estate? There's a huge difference in pixel detail potential between 480p tapes and 4K potential film.but why would anybody want Motown Billie Jean in 4K? I mean, have you watched directly from the DVD? It looks crystal clear since it's sourced from the master tape. It won't and can't look any better. But again, why would you want to "enhance" it if it already looks perfectly fine?
That's what he's saying. Motown is tape, not film. Are you as geriatric as the estate? There's a huge difference in pixel detail potential between 480p tapes and 4K potential film.
I get that. We're talking about hypothetical film footage. Which could actually be remastered. No one actually expects them to remaster a tape to 4K.That's what he's saying. Motown is tape, not film.
I mean.... thats onI think the standard def versions of the videos should be available still, for the historical value. Beat It 4K is completely gone now, all traces of it. I wanted to find the vintage footage for creative purposes but it's basically scrubbed now. Unless you track down Visions or HIStory on Film, it's now a rarity.
I told yall they are bots. Look on the same video on Facebook. All you see is "I think since the estate guys are old men they thought anime characters are very cool and popular so they asked the fiverr guy to include some cool anime people

Yeah, if that's what Hulkamaniac was talking about, I agree. Don't remaster a tape to 4K.I honestly wouldn’t even try. Even the best AI upscaling pales in comparison to true 4K.
70% of the album did, yesDidn't a few Thriller album multitracks leak?

so why do people say the multitracks are non-existent then70% of the album did, yes
Because the examining 30% are supposedly non existentso why do people say the multitracks are non-existent then
And by that, they only mean Baby Be Mine, TGIM and The Lady In My LifeBecause the examining 30% are supposedly non existent
I don’t think that’s what that means. John literally says that they specifically transferred the analog tracks to digital for the Atmos mixes. It seems the thriller multitracks are indeed gone:
It was mixed by Serban Ghenea and John Hanes (the Batman and Robin of pop mixing, if you will). Over at this Gearspace forumwe're fortunate to have John posting quite often and answering questions. Here is what he had to say:
"Was amazing to work on it! We mixed it from the original multitracks that they transferred to digital for us.Serban mixed it with the intention to preserve the mixes of Bruce and Quincy. We wanted to re-create their mixes first, then go to Atmos. This is not from stems, there were none, so we worked by ear to match the mixes and masters.Thriller works really well in Atmos because it is not too dense; each sound can have its own space."
Thats how i read it too, he is saying there where no stems but multitracks allows for more flexibility so probably best when mixing for Atmos.I don’t think that’s what that means. John literally says that they specifically transferred the analog tracks to digital for the Atmos mixes.

Wait a second, did Beat It ever leak? As far as I remember, only the RB stems were made public. And by that, they only mean Baby Be Mine, TGIM and The Lady In My Life![]()
An edited version leaked some time ago! One of the vocal tracks (I forget if it’s the leads or the backgrounds) have some baked-in reverb, but a more separated multitrack is online.Wait a second, did Beat It ever leak? As far as I remember, only the RB stems were made public.
I remember the non-submixed (full) multitrack was circulating and some people were uploading their mixes, but I think it never went public. Only the WBSS one did.An edited version leaked some time ago!
