Wow those are great ideas! Thanks! And no it doesnt have to be oil-pastel but thats what im best at and I enjoy them :)

Pretty boring i know. Anything I could add that wouldnt be too hard to do? I would try adding different Michael Faces into the silhouette but I dont think Ill be able to. Any ideas?

That's pretty cool. It's hard to think of something to add without making it too difficult LOL. Maybe you could put the SC suit on it? I was gonna say you could do it like it is on the CD cover but that would take waaaay longer than 10hrs LOL.The glove would work pretty well though I think :)

ah i see. that's awesome, i absolutely love art too!! i do primarily charcoal and lead sketches, but i also do random other stuff like making jewelry :lol:

but back on topic...another idea i had was to have rows and rows of joined hands, or holding hands..like all races, children, etc...and then create a sparkly shimmery "white glove" somewhere in there with rhinestones for mikey!!! haha

Thats another great idea :) but i think it might distract people from the main MJ figure in the middle...

ah that's true. well you have plenty of time to think of ideas..i'm sure you'll think of something awesome!! have you posted any of your art on MJJC? i always love seeing other people's stuff! :D

To be honest I dislike art so when we arent given a choice of what to do they turn out terrible. Now that I can pretty much fill up a book with my interests they should get better :D Ill try posting them soon.

I think that would look great but because of the thickness of the pastels and how much they can smudge it would be difficult to make out each individual person and strand of grass etc ;) :lol:

Another idea I had was to have MJ really close up (like only his eyes and a curl) and you can see the reflection of a sold out stadium crowd in his eyes :) Im hesistant to do that because I think it would be difficult...

wow that sounds flipping amazing tom. i have tons and tons of michael sketches that i've never posted. if it comes down to the wire, just say the word and i'll send some to ya :lol: ...joking. i bet you're better than you say :yes:...and that idea is so awesome that the concept itself is enough to carry the project. my vote is for that idea!! hah

:lmao: ewww! I dislike my art teacher. He always seems to find cons in your work. I know he knows what is good and what isnt but it seems like hes telling us what work to do so in the end everybodys books look the same. I want to be free to draw/paint/whatever celebrities and to be able to submit it for marking without him going "Oh it doesnt have X work i told you to do" in it :(

My art teacher last year was the same way. Awesome at drawing but I'm pretty sure he was a pothead :lol:

The idea of Michael close up with a crowd sounds really cool. But I don't know, you'll probably decide what's best. Afterall, it's your work :)

There's a pic of him in concert where he's taking off his glasses and you can see tears down his cheek, it's not exactly a happy thing but it definitely shows the emotion. But I don't know, you'll probably decide what's best. Afterall, it's your work :)

Yeah, I just regretted saying it. Not the best picture to use. Just remembered what year it was from :no: *Bows head in shame*
