yeah MJ said it 18 years ago in 1993. It is just a shame that folks want to listen now

Re: Beth Karas, discusses Justice4MJ, Karen Faye, Lee Thomas In Session Interview

I wonder if Dr Drew Pinsky would say the dark blotches on Lee Thomas's face isnt Vitiligo like he told MJ's body guard
when the BG told him he saw dark blotches on MJ. Dr Pinsky stated (paraphrased) Well if its dark blotches iMichael didnt have vitiligo that sounds more like hyper pigmentation. :(What a QUACK

Re: Beth Karas, discusses Justice4MJ, Karen Faye, Lee Thomas In Session Interview

Thers are pics u can find of people from the 1800 with Vitiligo. So it's amazing at 2011 people still need to be educated about it! Poor MJ!

Re: Beth Karas, discusses Justice4MJ, Karen Faye, Lee Thomas In Session Interview

Thanks for the videos. This guy is very strong, because I do not think I would be able to handle it so well. God bless him.
People always want to see the worst in Michael. The media made the stories and many simply believed it. I am glad this person came forward and I hope more try to educate people about this problem.

Re: Beth Karas, discusses Justice4MJ, Karen Faye, Lee Thomas In Session Interview

It has a part 3 as well:

Re: Beth Karas, discusses Justice4MJ, Karen Faye, Lee Thomas In Session Interview

They were interesting videos on the vitiligo. Maybe being sensitive, but i don't know if there is still implied criticism that MJ didn't become a poster man for the disease like this tv reporter. Does no one make the argument that the mid-80s was the period of mass hysteria re aids, and vitiligo was an auto-immune disease like aids and so could cause MJ intense negative media attention. I read this argument somewhere and i thought it made sense - no idea if its true or not, but then again that's not stopped any other media angle on this story.

That Doctor said that? What an :censored:

This shows that being a Doctor does not prevent you from being brainwashed by the tabloids.

Re: Beth Karas, discusses Justice4MJ, Karen Faye, Lee Thomas In Session Interview

Yes, there were definetly some crtiism but, over all it was good. It was a different time when MJ had too deal with his Vitiligo, he had every right to speak about it at his own time. There are many pics of MJ performing where u can see his make up coming off and you can see the vitiligo even before the victory tour days and after. So I wish they would have actully looked online for them and showed them on the screen! Instead of just guessing and wondering. Plus, I didn't like how he compared bleach for clothes to a lighting cream for Vitiligo suffers like benoquin! Since when that's the same thing? o_O That was an error on his part, so he needs to educate himself on that before speaking of what MJ did or didn't do to treat his vitiligo.

Awwwww, Ms. Karas is noticeably softening her approach to Michael. What a change from the Mesereau interview to now... *you've been hit by, you've been struck by...a smooth criminal* :scorerer:
:D
*zing went the strings of my heart*, hehehe.

Re: Beth Karas, discusses Justice4MJ, Karen Faye, Lee Thomas In Session Interview

It's a shame MJ haters or non MJ fans needed to watch this intervew to believe Michael has never lied about his vitiligo. The saddest part is that Michael will continue to receive critisism for not using make up similar to the African Americans skin.

I think this video is releated to this topic posted on ROADF site:

Re: Beth Karas, discusses Justice4MJ, Karen Faye, Lee Thomas In Session Interview

Unfortunately people with all sorts of conditions experience attacks- but those with more visible ones suffer the most.

But how many depression sufferers are being told to 'snap out of it', how many diabetes sufferers are being attacked because controlling your weight is difficult on that medication- some go so far and damages themselves further, all in attempts to please those who attack them- for having a disease. That's unfortunately a general thing.
How many teenagers with acne are being insulted to 'stop eating xyz' as if repeating old wives tales solves the problem magically?

Mankind is very unkind for any deviation from any perceived norm. Those people come to teach us something.

I admire Mr. Thomas for being that strong, for following his dream- and I gripped my head at the make-up stories. No matter what you do- you can't please anyone. Michael got attacked for his to go with lighter coverage, I'm sure Mr. Thomas experiences his share for going with the dark coverage- you're damned if you do and damned if you don't.

Re: Beth Karas, discusses Justice4MJ, Karen Faye, Lee Thomas In Session Interview

That interview was very interesting.

My only comment is that Michael made the choice to "hide" for reasons only he could truly understand, because only he knew what was going on in his life.

Re: Beth Karas, discusses Justice4MJ, Karen Faye, Lee Thomas In Session Interview

Thx for the wonderful vids :clapping: Man, that man is STRONG... I'm  about the 'scar' in my throat and he walks around like this...
People NEVER seem to realize what a 'disease' or 'condition' does to your life... To your Psyche...

Anyway, I would have still loved Michael if he had chosen to 'expose' his Vitiligo though... Its NOT the skin thats important... Its the SOUL...
Ah, POOR Michael :boohoo

Re: Beth Karas, discusses Justice4MJ, Karen Faye, Lee Thomas In Session Interview

I was a kid when I became a fan (1993) and it NEVER even occured to me that Michael once looked black and now looked so fair, I mean I was so absolutely captivated by his inner and outer beauty that I just NEVER for a second even thought(or rather, 'gave a damn' lol)about the colour of his skin. Micahel for me is beautiful in EVERY WAY, he will always be.

AND I found about Michael's vitiligo from Michael himself, when I read in his own words that he had it. And I instantly believed him. Ofcourse I had tears in my eyes, pride in my heart(for his courage, and for the gift of being a fan) the moment I found out about it and gave him a massive hug((()))! So he 'did' tell, he did not hide.

And to add-his having vitiligo and his talking about it helped me accept and love an uncle of mine who has it too. As a kid I would be 'very' scared of him(actually, of his looks) and wouldn't touch him, or go near him, but when i found out that the most beautiful person in the world whom I love the MOST had that same condition it made me not only accept my uncle as he was but also made me have compassion for him and others like him.
