If you say something about somebody's parents, you are then saying something about them. How can it be separated?

Michael, Janet, Jermaine and the rest of the siblings are all "Jacksons".

What it boils down to is the disconnect of her brain cells from her common sense.

No matter how much money she has in the bank, (as E! recently listed her as having the most money in a couple) she will never take the place of Janet nor Michael. (Maybe she thinks she will with all her lame commercials and lame movie roles).

She wants it so badly, she can taste it. It ain't gonna happen.

I've voiced my opinion and this is it for me. I don't care nothing about her. This isn't her FAN WEBSITE, it's Michael's and to me she is the ENEMY, TO HELL WITH HER.

it is true that we should be able to give our opinions without looking over the shoulder to be schooled by others,(i admit, i do it too, and i need to stop, too, lol..i know it's hard but we need to try..lol) and if it turns out to be tabloid, we do have the intelligence to correct ourselves without help. the thread was posted at this time, so it's moot to spar over whether it's tabloid or not. the article was already commented on by the media, so it's moot to bust us about it. anyway, the comment about running up to beyonce when MJ was arrested..lol..it would seem like the media treat MJ and Beyonce like spouses..and maybe that's because her language would suggest that MJ is on her mind a lot..and even the media can see that. so..it's likely she'll do a lot of talking about him, and that which relates to him, so, once in a while she may have a brain ****. it does tend to happen when one tends to talk a whole lot about one subject. lol

Did anyone ever stop to think that MAYBE, just MAYBE, the media twisted Beyoncé's words to start something between Janet and Beyoncé, two very succesful female artists? And by the way, there's nothing wrong with what Beyoncé said. She just stated facts.

This is the 1st time i've heard of this...I mean Damn!!! I guess this is how she really feels. Pretening to be starstruk and stuff with Michael was just a game then? This is VERY Low of her to say this.t

And Wats so special becoming a singer comming from an Upper class...Its MUCH MORE Meaningful, to HAVE REAL TALLENT AND NOT FROM Upper Class. This Doesnt Make her Anybetter than anyone.

This Says Much about her than it does the Jackson Family. So keep on keeping Jackson Family...This is not the first time that they have taked A hit from the public.

The comment was printed in a popular magazine she did the interview for, not some tabloid trash. I'm sure she's heard the rants and the raves about the comment, the question is if she didn't interp it that way? why didn't she come out to defend it for getting it blown out of proportion? so therefore it's obvious to me that was meant to be said. See in the 'business' you have to watch what you say and do and how you say it or else it would come back to bite you big time, Beyonce is obviously not good at wording herself very properly that's why she throws many folks off, but as long as she "claims" to be in this business she should know better than what she knew. I took the comment as an insult because she basically dissed the Jacksons as some poor folks who where being used by their parents to make it in show/entertainment business yet with her and her family they were sitting pretty and didn't need to work very hard to get where they are at, which explains why beyonce is so successful today. Michael and his family worked very hard and it paid off, where else the knowles family got into it easily. The knowles are not the Jackson's and the Jackson's are not the Knowles, The Jackson's lived through the hard times it wasn't as easy back in that era so that was a very poor explanation she used to sum up her reasons for making it so big. Beyonce is in a generation where it's easy for you to succeed, even if it's trash oppose to real/classic music you will still become more popular then the other, her music is music for the moment, it's not timeless it's not real music. Alicia keys is (IMO) a very innovative artist, she defines the sensation of what real music is about in our times and she's also a fan of MJ so why doesn't she get the credit? is it because she's not out there shaking her behind like beyonce? or prancing around in stilettos, short dresses? that proves my point, it's about looks regardless what type of talent you have. Just beyonce beyonce is a fan of MJ's doesn't mean I should take up or make an excuse for the comment she made against his family including him, if it was family she was talking about I wouldn't take it so lightly and I'm sure some of you wouldn't. If someone else other than beyonce would have made 'that' comment would some of you take it or leave it? I'm very aware of how the media love to twist up celebs words but at the same time if you are aware of what a celebs actions/reactions are towards another, you can see/understand what that person is conveying. Remember we are only looking a situation from the outside, we don't know what goes on behind closed doors, although I can tell when someone is being very sincere and honest.

i wish some would read our posts before they judge us.
we left comments on how we think the situation was up in the air, and that we would wait till we heard more. and then gave our thoughts on how we would feel, depending on how it all panned out. we gave them on how we would feel if it panned out, one way, and then gave how we feel if it panned out in the other direction. we have that freedom, and, it still is a discussion board. and this thread has been posted, so we are commenting on it. and i wish people would stop comparing on how we would treat one person compared to how we would treat Michael. aside from this being an MJ fanboard, MJ has proven to be a certain way, and we respond accordingly. if others in the spotlight prove to be a certain way, we respond accordingly. and, in our posts, we already addressed the media. and apparently, many people have different opinions on what Beyonce may have said, including Perez Hilton, of the media itself.

Beyonce should know better but she didn't study her homework as she likes to pretend to.

Janet and the jackson family have always spoken out about race. Beyonce needs to ask somebody.

she's a mess, has always been a mess. look at how she says things a lot more closely....how she wont have a kid either at all or right now. that's totally her right but the way she said it 'that's my sister' like im not the one who gts knocked up, im too good for it.

she needs to learn how to speak...i mean, she's not ghetto and all, right? so she should have had ettiquite lessons.....

I just think what she said came out wrongly, and there wasn't really any bad intent meant towards the Jacksons. But it is still not good to say you're "upper class". Beyonce's average fan doesn't go to "private school" or have a Jaguar, which means nothing anyway. Beyonce' went to the Houston High School For The Performing and Visual Arts, which isn't really a private school anyway. Granted, you must have some sort of talent and have to pass an audition to attend there, but it's still technically a public school. Matthew Knowles did pretty much the same thing as Joe. He might not have abused his children, but he didn't go broke trying to get DC (or Beyonce') off the ground for nothing. Also where did Tina get the money to start her clothing line? And Matthew's record label and management company? Jay-Z is a former drug dealer, so apparently he wasn't "upper class" either.

B's father and mother did not have a way to do that for her, did they?

It was Joseph and Katherine's child that did that.

That's why when I read that comment again, I'm like "man, they're trying to make it sound wrong". Beyonce's family WAS more well off than the Jacksons were when they started. Living in a housing community in Gary, Indiana was wild back then I heard. Beyonce and 'em lived in the suburbs. Weren't Mathew and Tina living in the Houston projects before they got well off tho? You never hear about their backgrounds but they seemed college-educated and business-conscious. Beyonce's comment actually gives me more reason to applaud Joe and Katherine because they came from a racist, poor, poverty-stricken time; Joe was a high school dropout and ambitious as hell, Katherine barely graduated when she and Joe married, and after noticing talent in their home build them up at whatever costs. Mathew did too for other reasons. Both Joe and Mathew come across as slimeballs sometimes but both of them benefited for their children, Joe probably more so.
 
Yes, but the issue is not the fact that the Knowles WERE indeed more well off than the Jackson's..plenty of those in the industry and who are Balck could be considered as well off by most standards...it's her insinuations that come across as bragging or rude...its coming off as that...perhaps she did not intend to and this is where we would have to reserve judgement...but come on, her comments DO sound wrong.

I doubt Janet cares and would make any fuss about it. If Beyonce opened it then she can close the mess herself.
 
I guess it does come cross as conceited, I don't know, I just know that Beyonce has had this criticism of her being some "uppity person", I guess this comment pretty much confirms it, lol.

to me, the definition of a slimeball dad is one who knows his son has talent but refuses to acknowledge his son's dreams.
 
Should we give this a little bit of time to see if it was simply a bad choice of words? It kind of seems like she is forgetting how she and her parents got to where they are.

If she had never gotten her lucky break, her father and mother probably would not be living like they are living right now, and her father probably would not be sitting in the front row at music award shows.

The music industry does not have an open-door policy. It does not willingly answer just because someone is knocking. You have to have the right stuff and you have to know the right people. If you don't know the route in, the door stays shut.
 
lol..i've heard that some have gotten successful, not expecting it, not looking for the route in, let alone, knowing it, cus they weren't looking for it. it overcame them, instead.
 
True, vncwilliam, but Matthew was trying to find a way to get his daughter in. He's where he is because of who his daughter is.
