Maybe the plans are changed... will.i.am said that about 2 years ago... I mean. you never know what the new album will be like...
but I'm very optimistic.. I think it will be great!

OF COURSE he can he is the KING OF POP!! he just probably didn't feel like making a dance tune...he probably wanted to write from his heart....most dance tunes don't show that....
