Contract: Jackson doc requested lifesaving gear

Michael would have never gotten insurance for the shows if he did not pass the physicals. You are never going to see the results unless the DA uses it at trail. This complaint is beyond ridiculous and Oxman and Joe need there faces slapped. However it goes to show that Murray knew what he was going to do on tour was dangerous and he went ahead and did it anyway. Dumb ass

They were only insured for 10 shows and Michael had to go have another physical in London before they would agree to insure anymore. Randy Phillips had stated himself they were having trouble getting insured and he was ready to cover the insurance if necessary, which means Michael would have ended up paying for it.

If AEG was truly Murray's boss, he was doing what his bosses told him to do. Not ethical but when you're getting paid $150,000.00 a month, that probably out weighs your ethics!

Father of Michael Jackson accuses AEG of singer's death

But in a recent complaint filed with the Medical Board of California, Jackson's father, Joe Jackson accuses concert promoter AEG Live of neglecting to provide the recommended equipment and a nurse who was supposed to assist Dr. Murray. Those measures could have prevented the singer's death or revived Jackson when he stopped breathing, according to the complaint.

If a nurse and all this equipment was so essential to Murray he shouldn't have administered any care without making sure he had what he needed - simple as that. It's Murray who abandoned his clinical responsibility - trying to blame AEG will not absolve Murray of culpability. HE is the Dr, HE knows what is supposed to be clinically safe and HE would know when he is operating far outside the bounds of his clinical competence. Despite knowing all this he carried on regardless.
And he shouldn't have taken his eyes off Michael far less left the room after giving him propofol - can't blame AEG for that. He'd get shredded on that alone I'd expect, nevermind the fact he shouldn't have gone anywhere near propofol in the first place, which is what this case and suit is about in my view - the rest, to me, is all smoke and mirrors.

Murray's civil attorney, Charles Peckham, declined to comment about the specific allegations against AEG after the complaint was filed.

Yeah, I bet he did. He must be loving this attempt to deflect blame from his client.

On May 28, Murray allegedly grew impatient because he had not been paid by mid-month as promised by AEG, according to the complaint. Before treating Jackson, Murray, a full time cardiologist, had been mired in such heavy debt, that AEG exploited his hardship as a tactic to exert control over his medical decisions, the complaint alleges. More than two weeks after Murray began treating the singer, AEG had not provided Murray with CPR equipment as he requested and never instructed Murray to cease treating Jackson, the complaint states.

If Joe/Oxman are implying that AEG somehow blackmailed Murray into giving Michael propofol I find that highly improbable. Most people outside the medical field hadn't even heard of propofol/diprivan by name before June 25. When it was revealed that Murray had given propofol to Michael in his home to supposedly help him sleep, even all the medics I know (incl. myself) were horrified and had never even heard of it being used for such a thing. So for AEG to have conceived of this and somehow forced Murray into treating Michael in this fashion and then to have deliberately withheld essential equipment is extremely far-fetched to say the least IMO.

AEG is not a hospital with easy access to specialised medical equipment, if Murray felt this equipment was so vital and that AEG was stalling in providing it, all he needed to do was pick up the phone and have whatever he needed brought in from his Nevada/Texas office and bill AEG for it later. For Joe/Oxman to portray Murray as some sort of robot controlled by AEG with no initiative of his own to try to safeguard his patient is laughable in my opinion.

By June 18, according to the complaint, Jackson had attended only a few rehearsals, prompting AEG Live's Phillips and "This is It" director Kenny Ortega to demand a face to face meeting with him at Jackson's Holmby Hills estate.

Not according to this article dated May 12
"Four mornings a week, an SUV with darkened windows bears Michael Jackson through the gates outside a nondescript building near the Burbank airport. He spends the next six hours on a soundstage in the company of 10 dancers and pop music's best-known choreographer."

MJ's Dad: AEG Has Blood On Its Hands

AEG put such pressure on Michael Jackson to perform for his London concerts, they effectively forced Dr. Conrad Murray to heavily sedate the singer so he could get rest, which ultimately led to his death ... this according to documents filed with the California Medical Board and obtained by CNN.

According to the 169-page complaint, filed by attorney Brian Oxman on behalf of Joe Jackson, Michael had only sporadically attended rehearsals for the show, leading to a showdown with Michael Jackson on June 18 in which an AEG exec allegedly threatened to "pull the plug" on Jackson's rented home and fire Dr. Murray.

The complaint alleges Murray -- who was allegedly promised $150,000 a month by AEG -- immediately began fueling Jackson with heavy sedatives, including Valium, Ativan, Versed and Propofol so the singer could sleep.

As we first reported, Murray gave Jackson Propofol virtually every night for six weeks -- until Michael died.

The complaint alleges AEG knew the dangers of Murray's treatment but ordered full steam ahead. And, according to the complaint, AEG turned a blind eye to Murray's request for life saving equipment.

The complaint claims AEG was effectively practicing medicine without a license, by forcing Murray to take radical medical steps to protect the show.

The complaint claims, "Had AEG not violated California law and fulfilled its promise to provide Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation equipment and a nurse, Michael Jackson would not have died on June 25th."

I still don't believe that Michael was getting propofol every night for 6 weeks...noway.

Hmmm...I wonder what if Murray will agree with this......

And I wonder what AEG has to say in defense. This will be interesting. And I wonder what Murray will say to AEG's response.

They are going to have to talk soon.

But nobody seems to know when she was hired, who was paying her or why she wasnt at Michael's home on June 25th.

It sounded like MJ made individual appointments with her when he needed it.

She said the last time to have heard from MJ before Father's Day to be sometime

in April, and that she was at the hospital in Florida on June 21st.

That's how I remember it.

Okay a question that's bugging me - How does Oxman got access to those emails between Murray and the AEG?

Would either AEG or Murray have sent copies of their communication

to Michael?

the complaint has emails from the doctor to AEG but, not from AEG to Murray.

because Oxman shows only docs fitting his theory

joe joe joe...he's playing with fire.....AEG will sue him and oxman, and it will end up with a 8 million dollar kick in the ass just like with the korean guys they have to pay up from the 80's..

Uhh so what happened with Nurse/Dr/Actress Cherilyn Lee?

She is the only one who claims to have been at MJs home as a nurse and was the first to mention propofol.

But nobody seems to know when she was hired, who was paying her or why she wasnt at Michael's home on June 25th.

didn't michael call Cherilyn Lee when he said his body was hot on one side and cold on the other?
and if i can recall, she stated that she first came to treat mj's3 for colds in early march when Prince gave her a gift...?

She first went to the house because the children had a cold, she said.

They gave her a computer as a Birthday present at a later date.

Someone who worked for MJ called her on June 21st, and she could hear

MJ describe his symptoms frantically on the background, but she never

spoke with MJ directly. She told the person on the phone to tell Michael to

go to the hospital, and that she couldn't go to the house since she was

at the hospital in Florida.

YUP, thanks.:(

^^
do you have the complaint?

No, but in the CNN article, there are apparently 16 exibits (proposed contrat, emails). But if there would be emails from AEG, the arcticle would mention them. And we know that Oxman is not very honest

I would not be shocked if a lot of this was dummied up. Don't be shocked if at the end of everything AEG sues Oxman and Joe

considering its oxman theres a good chance these emails dont excist. but if they do it seems logical that murray is giving them to oxman as after all this whole suit is switching the blame from murray to AEG so murray wont mind. i woldnt put it past joe and oxman to work with the killer in return for no wrongful death suit (where did that go?) and a possible pay out from AEG

to me that would also explain why they file this with the medical board.

why?......... tbh i thnk oxman is just thick and doesnt realise this has nothing to do with the board and is just filing it with who ever for the attention

Yes maybe... hard for me to imagine that a lawyer could be that thick, but yes why not.

Joe and Oxman didn't say what their intentions were, and I see 2 options :

It can be understood as trying to target AEG for money, even if it helps Murray. So he goes to the medical board saying AEG put pressure on both the doctor and Michael, and breached the code of medecine.
So he would be trying to involve the medical board in his wrongful death lawsuit ??

Edit : by trying to get the medical board to somehow admit that AEG interfered in the situation , making it worse, so using the medical board as "experts" for a future lawsuit against AEG. If that's possible, I don't know.

Or it just makes it worse for Murray, showing he knew the risks he was taking when he was injecting propofol without the proper equipment and help.
Then he would be helping the medical board do something about Murray's licence ??

The fact that he filed this with the medical board really puzzles me.

What can the medical board do with these docs (if they are real) ???

I beg to differ. Someone hired him, he wasn't there on his own. Whomever hired him was obligated to provided the medical equipment, Murray was obligated to make it known that it was needed. However, there was still a conscious decision made on Murray's part to treat Michael without this equipment that he knew full well that he needed, WOW.

How's that only CNN obtained the 169-page complaint?
Selective leaking? Why?
I searched everywhere, no link available, so there must be a confidentiality pledge?
