A statue in the shape the Estate would surely build. Upon closer inspection, it's completely crooked.

What would you do with that? How about a John Branca statue? But also, made of chalk?
ohh he only points to that one thigh, now it makes sense! and I couldn't read the other note, so thanksIt's his handwriting yes. But he is right, right..? The curve of the arm is strange and the thigh is too fat
Include it in the 30th Anniversary boxset. (Maybe I missed parts of the conversation.)What would you do with that?![]()
oh haha lol like the OFF THE WALL chalk in that boxset some years agoInclude it in the 30th Anniversary boxset. (Maybe I missed parts of the conversation.)
Include it next year in the 47th anniversary edition of Off the Wall. What would you do with that?![]()
Too late. The definitive version of OTW was released earlier this year. It's the best there can ever be. There's literally no point in anybody releasing any version of the album ever againInclude it next year in the 47th anniversary edition of Off the Wall.

Michael Jackson Pays Tribute To Charlie Chaplin With His Cover Of “Smile”
June 30, 2025
Michael loved Charlie Chaplin, who was also a filmmaker and star of the silent film era. Michael said of Chaplin that “He knew how to make you laugh and cry at the same time, and I find some of that in what I do.” Michael paid tribute to the comedic actor by covering Chaplin’s song “Smile” for the closing of the HIStory album and it was also released as a promo single in certain countries with a photo of Michael dressed as Chaplin’s most famous movie character, “The Tramp”, on the single sleeve.
By doing what? They need to release the short film of it!The estate delights us once again with a contribution to HIStory.

Why isn’t there a HIStory 25 release? Or a HIStory concert film?
In our opinion this album is Michael’s most underappreciated and one of his very best. Although they were never announced, the Estate had plans to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the HIStory album this year, but because of COVID-19, those plans had to be modified. So, while we still have plans to celebrate HIStory with appropriate audio and audiovisual elements, we don’t believe in making announcements until we are in a position to share all of the relevant details. It is our hope that the world will open up again soon, and allow our creators to finish their work.

It's not that theres a reason not to.What could be the reason why HIStory 30 is not being released?
No you didn't give me the definitionIt's called irony.
Irony, in its broadest sense, is the juxtaposition of what, on the surface, appears to be the case with what is actually or expected to be the case.

There are no excuses for the bullshit the Estate has created through its inaction. There are box sets for everything, see Phil Collins below. But for one of the most successful double albums of all time, nothing comes. That's inexcusable. It's not that theres a reason not to.
It's that there's no reason to release it.
Anybody who might buy a CD already has it. Everybody else just streams, therefore no album release required.
As for a tour DVD - it's clear that Sony are too embarrassed by all the miming.
Stop being so jealous. It doesn't matter. Music isn't a competition. There are no excuses for the bullshit the Estate has created through its inaction. There are box sets for everything, see Phil Collins below.
I have theseStop being so jealous. It doesn't matter. Music isn't a competition.
If you've got HIStory, you should be glad. Go and give it a listen, instead of begging for an opportunity to waste your money buying it again.
Why in this forum we still talk about physical releases?? Dvds are damn near like video tapes today? All I hear on hear is dvd/blu rayIt's not that theres a reason not to.

When is the last time anybody here has bought aDVD? Literally WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU BOUGHT A DVD? [...]
Well, HMV in the UK still sells albums on CD and vinyl. Ditto indie record shops in the UK.[...] NOT ONE VIDEO STORE, RECORD STORE IS EVEN DISTRIBUTING ALBUMS.
Those of us who buy music on physical media are in the minority, for sure. Most people stream, that is very true. But physical media still exists. That's why MoFi do their 'vinyl / CD' thing, bc they know there is still market for their products.U HAVE TO GO ONLINE & BUY & YOU HAVE TO GO ONLINE TO STREAM....Smh sorry for the rant but guidedamn stop with the dvdphysical releases & so far as H25..... I can say the same thing to

I totally agree with you that most music purchases - even if it's physical media, not streaming - happen online. But you strongly suggested that absolutely no-one (on MJJC) buys DVD's or any other physical media. That's the bit I disagree with. Why in this forum we still talk about physical releases?? I have these
HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I
Video Greatest Hits - HIStory
HIStory on Film, Volume II
Greatest Hits - HIStory Vol. 1
and I want MORE [...]
40,000 for Thriller was the most MoFi ever did, Off The Wall was limited to 6,000 iirc.Agreed.
But you did say this ..

MoFi only press up small numbers for each album they release. I think they only did 40,000 for Thriller - presumably bc MoFi knows there is a small customer base for their products. But obviously it is still financially viable for them to release stuff or they wouldn't bother. There might not be many people on MJJC that buy physical media anymore (online or irl) but, otoh, there are several threads devoted to discussions of MoFi products not to mention people who were wildly excited by the previous release (OTW) or are getting revved up over the next release (Dangerous).
As for the thread question - I think there's quite a few people on the board who would love to see MJE release a good quality box set with a nice booklet and / or a beautiful set of photo trading cards etc etc. Not everyone wants that but some people do. I think Hot_Street would be up for physical media releases!
Physical media still has a bit of life left in it, that's all I'm saying.![]()
As for why physical releases still come up here — it’s mainly because fans, collectors, and audio/videophiles still care deeply about the formats (as I do). Physical media has actually seen a resurgence in recent years, with vinyl, CDs, and even DVDs making a comeback as people seek out higher quality and a more tangible experience than streaming can offerWhy in this forum we still talk about physical releases?? For those of you who actually hope for those:We can forget about 2025; Nothing but hot, smelly air comes out of the estate's bloated belly. But 2026 will be great:
The Jacksons 50th Anniversary
Michael (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)
Dangerous 35th Anniversary
Invincible 25th Anniversary
Ghosts 30th Anniversary
Captain EO 40th Anniversary
