I was just watching 'This Morning' which is a UK daytime show and they were discussing MJ's children being interviewed by Oprah. Kelvin McKenzie who used to be editor of The Sun newspaper was on being asked for his views about it and he stated that he questioned how his children were born and their lives with MJ. But the most appalling thing of all was when he said his children were better off with MJ dead and that a lot of children would be saved and be able to lead normal lives now that he was gone, suggesting strongly that MJ was guilty of being a peodophile. One of the presenters of the show was quick to point out that he was never proven guilty but Kelvin believed he was a peodophile. How can anyone say his kids are better off with him dead and how can people STILL believe he was guilty? Are people blind? The show is still being broadcast right now and are asking for people's views about it so if you want to contact the show you can, here's how:

One of the presenters has just said that Kelvin left the studio soon after his comments about MJ as he knew he was in trouble.

.......Excuse me????!!!!

I have to count to 1000 to try and calm myself.

They will be hearing from me.

He worked for The Sun newspaper.

That says it all

I seriously would'nt worry that guy is just a total joke anyway!
By the way I watched it and was taken aback, but then again it's what i've come to expect from an ex- Sun editior to be honest

Who cares about some classless tabloid journalist?

I'm gonna email a complaint to them! Hopes its on YouTube later coz I'm at work.

:wtf:

Oh God, I can not believe they said that! Sure, I'll send an email to them!!! :mat:

Some people just don't deserve to live, that's all i am gonna say. I should not waste any more of my time with this, people who say such things....i should not write any further cause what i would write is not allowed here.

I don't know how heartless a man must be to be able look at these grieving kids - kids that so obviously love and miss their father, kids that are trying to tell the world what an amazing parent he was... how cold-hearted must you be to sit there and see ALL of that and continue to go on TV and speak about how great it is their father is dead, because frankly, they're better off with him? I've come across some really cruel and heartless people in my life, but never people THAT heartless. How could someone be that insensitive? It's no wonder he believes Michael is a pedophile. He obviously doesn't understand anyone who has any affection for children because he himself couldn't give a crap about them.

Kelvin McKenzie was the editor of The Sun during the false child abuse allegations in 1993. He's demented and sleazy, and doesn't know what the f*ck he's talking about when it comes to Michael Jackson.

He's a right wing nutjob who everyone despises. Everyone despises him. He's famous here for writing a very derogatory nd inaccurate article about the Hillsborough Disaster and he is revilled across the country for it.

I have no idea what he was doing on the show in the first place. I can't stand anybody slating people who have passed on as they're not here to defend themselves, therefore it's such a cowardly thing to do. I so wish I'd been on the show when he was saying all that as I would have defended MJ but I also would have got really angry. They were stupid asking someone who used to edit The Sun what they thought of MJ, that's like askiing Churchill what he thought of Hitler, totally pointless and stupid and the producers of 'This Morning' should have seen it coming. At the end of the day not many people know who this Kelvin guy is, I'd never heard of him until today and now he's made a complete idiot of himself on national TV I doubt I'll hear of him again. His opinions don't mean anything to me. I can't find a video of what he said but here's a transcript of what was said:

Kelvin McKenzie said:

"Well it's nice of her to say that about her dead father but I have a much more significant question about how and why some of those children were born, and under what circumstances and whether in the end he would have turned out to be a great father. Certainly there are aspects of him that your audience would raise their eyebrows at. In fact the death of Michael Jackson may well have saved some children from a lifetime of being mentally corrupted."

Philip Schofield (the presenter with Kelvin) then said: "We don't know that though."

Kelvin Mackenzie: "No, but at the same time he has faced a number of charges and allegations and I feel the children are better off now he has died."

Philip Schofield: "I am sure they would disagree with you."

REMEMBER people like him are out to get people like MJ, just to get a story and make money. He obviously has no idea about anything when it comes to MJ therefore he should do what I do when I don't know much about topics which don't concern me - Keep my mouth shut!

If you want to make an official complaint about the programme you can do so by:

But then what is that despicable man doing on a popular TV show anyway?

Thanks Jenny. This is truly beyond disgusting. McKenzie was The Sun's ex-editor at the time the term "W*cko J*cko" came to fruition.. I guess that's more than telling!
He shamelessly attacks not just Michael, but also his 3 innocent angels..We are witnessing a historic low IMHO.

The Media Advocacy team of the Legacy Project is already reacting to this.

I'm in! And I'm so mad!! AAHHH!! :help:

See, this is what I posted in my twitter:
It is OBVIOUS that that guy wants to be in a "scandal". Its so obvious he wanna see people saying his name! Well he should go do a p*rn movie or something that fits the LOW level that he is.
Kelvin MacKenzie will be hearing from me at the moment I get any contact info. What that man said was highly offensive to MJ family - especially MJ's children!
Kevin Mackenzie & @itvthismorning better apologize for what was said in the show. I dont think they realize WHO they'r dealing with > #MJFam

tajjackson3 Taj Jackson
If we don't get an on air apology from ITV soon, my next step is legal. The time for bad mouthing & spreading lies about my uncle are OVER.

ITV has removed the offending MacKenzie clip from Tuesday's episode on ITVplayer but they haven't given fans and family an apology.

according to a friend of mine

This guy must be schizophrenic. The day after MJ died he was on a day time talk show banging on about how the public let MJ down and he should never have been accused of molestation

so hes obviously an attention seaking fool

at @taj if the oprah interview had never happened this guy wouldnt have been given a platform to start with

Hey this morning is on right now and that guy is on it again talking about news! I can't believe ITV invited him back
quick complain now before midday

I also just received a reply this morning from that complaint i sent the other week

"Thank you for your email.

We are very sorry that you were offended by the comments made by Kelvin McKenzie on This Morning on 9 November. We accept that his comments about Michael Jackson caused offence to some viewers, which we regret.

However, when Mr McKenzie gave his opinion on the safety of children formerly in the care of Michael Jackson, and referred to the well known allegations that were made about him, the programme’s presenter Philip Schofield did point out immediately that Michael Jackson was not found guilty in relation to those allegations, and that no-one knows that any children in his care would be at risk. Following Mr McKenzie’s further comment that Michael Jackson’s children will have a better life without him, Philip challenged him again, and said the children would obviously disagree with Mr McKenzie’s “tough words”. He also invited viewers to give their views on Mr McKenzie’s comments, making clear that these were not expressed by the programme but by Mr McKenzie in a personal capacity. Later on in the programme, a comment was read out from a viewer who strongly disagreed with Mr McKenzie’s views.

Although we acknowledge Mr McKenzie’s comments were offensive to some viewers, they were challenged and contextualised immediately by the presenter. In the context of a spontaneous live discussion about a highly controversial (and deceased) celebrity, arising from a talking point in the news (namely the Jackson children’s recent TV interview with Oprah Winfrey), we consider that the programme overall exhibited balance. Whilst we appreciate that some viewers, particularly fans of Michael Jackson, would strongly disagree with Mr McKenzie’s personal opinions, we do not agree that the programme was inaccurate as such (as the comments were clearly expressed as opinion) or that it breached generally accepted standards. Overall the presenters and the other contributor (Lesley Joseph) were supportive of the children’s decision to be interviewed and stated that they were well-adjusted and had expressed their love for their father."

I can't believe people would have the nerve to even say that...*Walks out of the thread*
