It was one thing to have them at the memorial, is was very tasteful and Paris said what she wanted to say. It should have ended right there. There should have never been any footage of the burial or any footage of the children at that burial. Go to ANY child psychologist and they will tell you, after losing a parent one of the main things to do is keep them to their normal routine as possible. WE ALL know that part of their normal routine was NOT going to all of these tributes and having cameras FOCUSED ON THEM 24/7. Michael tried to give these kids a life that was as normal as possible, and now everything they knew, all that security around them their whole lives is gone. It's too much for an adult to handle, can you imagine a 7,11 or 12 year old dealing with this? Their whole world has been turned upside down literally over night!

I will agree to disagree on this because arguing here is useless. I said she would take what they wanted into consideration not let them decide for themselves. Sorry but this is a family decision, Katherines not the fans. If you don't agree don't watch. That's all. And everyone, including kids handle grief differently. My point is just that it isn't up to the fans and the fans don't know better then their own grandmother.

We're not sure what the hell Jermaine Jackson was thinking when he announced the lineup for the Vienna tribute concert for Michael -- because Natalie Cole isn't gonna be there either.

Cole's rep tells us the singer definitely won't show at the tribute because she's set to attend an event with the Dalai Lama in Memphis around the same time Jermaine told the world she'd be in Vienna.

Jermaine also said Chris Brown and Mary J. Blige were going to perform -- but they've also denied being involved with the event

Aww man I feel so sorry for Jermaine. I'm sure he has his heart in the right place, even if others have a different opinion on him.
I was really hoping for a positive change but 3 artists turned him down already. Doesn't look too good. Everything is collapsing like a house of cards.

someone needs to trudge they asses into court and stop this before it starts. u wanna honour mj? great. the kids wanna do something? great, tape it and play it for the audience. don't put them on the spot

mj kept them hidden to protect them. 12 yrs and he's not gone more than a week and they're already on magazine covers. now it looks like katherine's been manipulated into this.

Katherine looks thinner in that video.

How i wish Jermaine would have compassion on his mother. First he gets her to write a letter, now to do a video.

The thing is that for Katherine's sake and Michael's this thing can be a success.

But everyone can see that the way Jermaine has laid it out is in his self-interest.
This thing can still be a success if he brings others on board to help him manage it.

Katherine is in a really bad situation with her son pressuring her. She is old and when you are that age, you can't really fight some of the things your kids come at you with as you want to keep harmony and not leave your children bitter.

Think of it this way, if Michael was 79 years old and Prince came to him pressuring him to support a tribute for Blanket.
It would be very hard for Michael at that old age to turn down Prince.

The ball is squarely in Jermaine's coat and this is just too saddening.
With 3 artists pulling out, hardly any joining the list, he will turn this into an embarrassment for him and in turn, his mum, and to add to that, his brother.

To add to that, he feels he has to solicit his mother's help while attacking her decision to bury Michael at Forest Lawn.

That's perfectly fine, I don't think I will watch an empty stage because...well it seems like that is what we'll be seeing haha. And I never said "THIS" is what they should do, because I'm not part of this family, but in all honesty, they do need to take a time out from all of the public appearances and take care of themselves and his kids. THAT includes Jermaine, if he wanted to do this beautiful unforgetable tribute for his brother then he should have taken time out and actually had it organized, actually lined up artist to be there instead of saying who MIGHT show up and cheating people out of money (you can bet your ass I would be mad if I bought a ticket to see Mary J. Blige, Chris Brown or Natalie Cole and then be told they have no idea what he is talking about). All of this isn't about the family, it's about people getting cheated out of money because someone can't organize a concert correctly.
 
I will give you that if I spent money to see one of those artists I would be mad also. I would be going to pay tribute to Michael but I know alot of their fans probably bought tickets just to see them perform. I guess we will see what happens.

I don't believe Katherine was pressured into making that video. Maybe she wasn't happy about all the bad press. She is a strong woman and I dont thnk she was forced to do anything. JMO
 
well she is raisinghis children. so who knows why she's now supporting this but it's a shame all around and i hope those kids aren't being used.
 
Hi, there,s a news report on yahoo that the"big names" are dopping out of the concert. l think the tickets are way over priced too, l feel uneasy about this concert, it,s like Jermaine is too keen to jump on the money making side of things quickly. Maybe some of the performers are feeling uneasy about this also and dont want to be involved.
Hope all you fans are ok, l,m feeling pretty low at the moment, just feeling like everyone else l suppose. l,m also reading "Magic & Madness" just now and there are some parts in it that are just so upsetting, maybe l should read it another time but l cant put it down !

but the magic and the madness has a lot of false info J.T only knew Micheal when he wes a teenager but lost contact after that
anyway the book is a good read but not everything in it is a fact if you want to know more about it search the forum there are a lot of threads about it

Jermaine name dropped Maroon 5, well their in the recording studio working on their new album and haven't announced anything anywhere and they update their twitter daily.
Edit again: They just announced tour dates, there is nothing for Sep.

:no: Michael's got to be rollin' in his crypt. In all the years the Jacksons have had professional projects (rumored, confirmed or otherwise), they NEVER used their Mother to publicly promote their causes. In some cases we MAY have gotten a publicist statement from some of the Jackson family members, but we never saw their mother put on video to speak to the world...a woman known to be shy and prefers to avoid the spotlight. Watching this made me sad. :( If it was supposed to hype ppl up, it failed with me. I just feel sadness watching her. In a time of grief, she's being put on video to hawk a project that's falling apart as the days go along. If she's done something like this happened before, I missed it or I can't remember now. It's just odd becuz she could have released a statement in support of the event. Putting her on video, allllll by herself, just seems..... :no:. Btw..This isn't criticism of Mrs. Jackson at all...I'm being critical of the fact that she's been put in a position to HAVE to do something like this. Are there no boundaries that Jermaine will not cross?

Agree with you 1000% - I only heard the first couple of seconds and I had to shut it down. As strong as Mother Katherine is - she's being pulled this way & that way and I just can't watch them do to her, like they did Michael.

Thank you. To be honest, I was surprised this video made me tear up so badly. I was starting to think maybe I'm just having a sensitive night. :(
But reading your comment made me realize what it was that got to me.
 
ive heard that many of the celebrities are dropping out/and or were never confirmed as attending in the first place and that the tribute is shaping up to be a major flop. i hope this is not the case. michael deserves a fitting tribute with the best the world can offer with a-grade celebrities especially as people are paying alot of money to go there
