Interview: Evanna On Potter, Art & Michael Jackson TattooPosted by Lilysowl On October - 13 - 2010

To promote the upcoming release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 on November 19, Evanna Lynch spoke with Nylon Magazine about coming to the end of portraying “Luna Lovegood” in the Harry Potter films:

It’s really sad,” she says in her soft, dreamy voice of the end of the series. “Harry Potter was like a security thing. It was like school. Every year you’d know you’d have school at the start of September and then you’d have Harry Potter a few months later. And then to have it suddenly gone…. It’s kind of scary.”

A devoted Harry Potter fan since she was eight years old and “the arty one” in her family, Lynch designed the pair of radish-shaped earrings and the lion-headed hat “Luna” wore in the last two Harry Potter films, though she claims “people make too much of a big deal of that”.

But now, according to the article, Lynch has celebrated her 19th birthday and expects to receive her Leaving Cert results, the Irish equivalent of high school graduation. She plans to continue to act. And yet, she loves to dance, too. Last June, she won Ireland’s Mary Barrett Portfolio Award for painting. Lynch is passionate about art and culture and knowledgeable about modern dance, Shaolin Monks, Belgian writers, and Michael Jackson (she has a tattoo of his eyes on the back of her neck!).
