I usually don't post in the Jacksons thread. But my take on this whole thing is that the Jacksons have handled the death of MJ very poorly, and in so doing have alienated many fans. Their public rush to cash-in on anything MJ has really turned off a lot fans who initially gave them the full benefit of the doubt. Plus, their public interviews were just catastrophic, showing little affection or even sensitivity to their love one MJ. They were essentially racing to call him drug addict on national television and make reference to fabricated interventions, which clearly did not help at all. All of this in exchange of some lousy cash since those were paid interviews. Suddenly we saw the likes of Rebbie and even Jermaine -both of whom have not had a CD for decades - wanting to sing again. That was odd. As time went by their real intentions to exploit the death of MJ for sheer profit was becoming even more blatant. From KJ and Joe and to the remaining siblings. They were all bent on that goal from day one. Schemes such as the Gary museum was just a public embarrassment. Then you had the signed belt, the dodgy coffee book, the Oprah interviews with the MJ3, the public fight with the executors, and Joe with his ice cream and champagne nonsense. All these schemes kept on creeping up, including the endless MJ books by siblings who haven't known MJ in the last 7 to 10 years of his life. we're talking about siblings in their 50s and 60s with no education or professional career here that have become so desperate.
The combination of these events have pushed many fans away for good.
I just find it mind boggling that they would think anyone would still support them after everything they've done.
If you look up the term "Shooting yourselves in the foot", you would see a picture of the Jackson family.
