I doubt that "MANY OTHER PEOPLE BELIEVE THIS," or LaToya's book would have been more successful.

In my opinion, what most people believe is that LaToya has lied in the past, so why should they believe her now?

2,938 is a straight-up EMBARRASSMENT, especially since the book is just a week old.

As to Kathy Hilton, in my opinion, homegirl knows what time it is. LOL! She ain't trying to get the boot from Michael's family. She will continue to keep the peace and play nice, because she wants to continue to have access to Michael's children. One negative word out of Ms. Hilton's mouth and she will be kicked to the curb. She ain't stupid. LOL!

BUT Ms. Hilton's recent comments on Piers Morgan are clearly in contrast to what LaToya and "some" of her family have to say. Although, none of that is surprising since the fact is that Ms. Hilton spent more time with Michael than LaToya did.

The fans who do believe in a conspiracy probably thought they were going to hear something important. Any of them who spent money on her book, were clearly ripped off, in my opinion.

To be fair, Toya never called Michael an addict. She was one of the few, along with Jermaine, who said he was clean when he died. Although, she did have that story about people using drugs to control him.

Also Apple, what make Toya's book worst is that she is given second and third hand information that you can find for free on the internet. She takes accounts for Karen, TINI, and Rowe, who called him a ragging addict, and put their account into the book. So, you're paying for crap you could find for free. Even if you believe Michael was murdered in a grand plot, Toya's book is a rip-off.

No, Ramona. I haven't read the book. Only summaries and what other people told me. I'm not defending LaToya here. I just can't stand it when people act like they know the ultimate truth and call other people liars without knowing if some things could be true in fact. Maybe she got some things wrong or we already know what is in the book. But still I can't understand the hate going on here. I mean no one forces anyone to buy the book, right? What she's basically saying is that her brother was murdered. That is what she believes. What's wrong about that? I mean who can say he was not murdered? What I am personally arguing is that if Toya really believes in a conspiracy and she had proof, why didn't she take her information to the LAPD? She said so herself in her book that she done all this research, but didn't tell investigators because this is her private search. She didn't even bother to hire a PI. Quite frankly, all her facts in her book can be found by anyone using Google, so why do I have to pay 20 dollars to listen to what she had to say. Heck, she pretty much gave what her book was entirely about in her many interviews given less reason to buy it.

No one is force to buy her book, true. But, the fact that she is Michael's family gives her more credit than anyone. So for her to paint Michael as weak. crying for his daddy, and writing I hate so and so notes like a middle school girl is not flattering. So, you can understand why fans aren't happy with Toya. Especially when she can't even get her own story straight. The fact she is trying to sell what she knows too is very much what people been doing for years to Michael except it was to the tabs. And keep in mind, Toya sold stories to the tabs too not long after Michael died.

If she was truly fighting for justice by doing real investigating, hiring a PI, and actually talking to the LAPD and the DA I would call her effects noble and I would support her. No, it wasn't Tito, LaToya made this claim on AccessHollywood(it wasn't Neverland, she claimed they tried to storm into 100 Carolwood, which is a lie, as ALL the fans that camped outside MJ's house say it didn't happen, they would know, cause some camped there across the street for months), where she further went on to imo, cross the line and disrespect MJ's kids privacy and his, by telling the WORLD how these kids reacted to seeing Michael's body, Paris giving MJ half a heart necklace, and what they told her supposedly in private, she had NO shame in doing this either. To be honest, the ONLY people I believe tried anything were Tito, Jackie, and Marlon, as MJ's bodyguards admitted they came to the house to see MJ, and he didn't let them into his house, he came outside to the security trailer, spoke with them, and went back in his house, but even then, if they were all that concerned, they could have done like Whitney Houston's mother and had MJ forcibly committed with the sherrifs coming with hospital personnel to retrieve him.

I don't think many people take certain Jacksons seriously - Toya, Joe, Jermaine, even Katherine (they don't expect her to be truthful, anyway). They're known as fickle attention whores who never seem to be honest about themselves, so why should they be honest about other things? So they're not too interested in anything they might say.

I was actually planning on buying her book, I actually expected it to be about how she dealt with Jack Gordon and to possibly share more happy memories with Michael from before 1987, as well as possibly helping defend him against certain things.... When I heard that it was just an anti-estate tome full of third hand experiences I was really disappointed.

A lot of people are that naive. It sounds so sad and pitiful that people can believe it. Like all the drug stories and all the thousand nose job stories and all the manchild-couldn't-control-his-life stories. Hell, people lapped up the recent castration story because "it explained so much about him!!!" Anything pitiful and freakish and sad is credible to people. So his kids being denied money by his estate is very easy to believe for these people.

I remember arguing with someone online a while back and they were like, "But he was so selfish and spent all his money because look, even in death his kids have nothing!!!" They only ever hear certain parts of any story.

Ramona, thank you very much for your reasonable post and especially for explaining things with staying respectful which unfortunately has become quite rare these days! This I can understand. I can understand where you're coming from. I can completely unterstand your thoughts about why she doesn't go to the authorities with her information she claims to have. She did that interview in which she hinted at not trusting the LAPD but also said that they hadn't hired a private investigator because the LAPD would not want others interfering in their work. I was like "You don't trust them, so why don't you hire your own investigators to be able to proof what you think you know?"
These thoughts are legit and her non-action deserves criticism. My posts weren't directed at all at fans who think like you.

La Toya is scheduled to get out of bankruptcy court this year....I wonder if she will ask for a second extension.

I take no pleasure in her book failing...but am I glad to know few people will read this nonsense where MJ is portrayed as a meek & pathetic man who is on top of a 1 billion+ empire while under his employees' control.

I´ve no idea, she´s a "friend" of Michael who has a group on facebook where she answers questions about medical stuff and other things regarding what happens within his family. Some things about the kids and now LaToya´s book. She doesn´t "hang" with the family but she knows them and talks with them a lot and sees them from time to time.
