ANOTHER EXCERPT FROM ROWE"S BOOK (BELOW), SHARED FROM http://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=143444222342126&id=78245489969 TINI'S FACEBOOK:
Leonard Rowe:"He opined that R.Phillips might have believed that he could control MJ better in that state in order to have ultimate authority over him. Rowe says that Phillip is lying about not knowing the state MJ was in."Also he notes that every time he or a another one questions AEG’s involvement, their credibility & character is assassinated in the media or they bring up past things to undermind their credibility He believes that bloggers such as Roger Friedman are paid off to write negative stories in order to deflect from the real perpetrators. He feels that because LA is so corrupt, that John Branca and his ilk have been successful in c...ontrolled MJ’s empire while cutting out his family in any decisions regarding his legacy. Rowe also states that he knew that the LAPD was well aware that Rowe was around MJ during the last months of his life, but no one had asked for a formal interview and that he hasn’t talked to them since seeing the police at Katherine’s home in August, 2009. Rowe believes that MJ’s death investigation reeks of corruption. Rowe talks about the insurance policy that AEG had on MJ and that everything is all quiet about that. He also questions the people reentering MJ’s life – people that Rowe says that MJ vow never to do business with again, such as John Branca WHO RE-ENTERED 8 DAYS BEFORE MJ DIED (!) – how is now running MJ’s estate. He speaks on MJ not wanting rehearals taped, but he was convinced to do so a couple of days before he died. Rowe speculates that the plan was for a movie all along. Again, Rowe talks about his review of MJ’s London Contract with AEG:
* Says that while AEG sold out 50 shows, the contract only had 31 shows in it. He said that MJ told him that he only agreed to 10 shows, but then the contract up the shows ...to 31;
* AEG had no signed contract with MJ for 50 shows;
* AEG had a contractural stranglehold on MJ legally until 12/31/2011, even though the shows would end in London by February of 2010. That probably means that MJ was under contract with AEG to do whatever they wanted him to do until the end of 2011. If he did nothing, he still would not have been able to work with anyone else until that contract period was over;
* AEG is the sole beneficiary of the life insurance policy that was taken out on him;
* AEG had the contractural right to obtain concert cancellation, liability, non-performance insurance, etc.;
* The life insurance policy that AEG was the beneficiary of, was taken out at MJ’s expense and the policy did NOT relive MJ of repayment of advances and other expenses over and above the insurance policy;
* Production costs, living expenses at both LA and LV homes, Tohme’s fee, and everything else was being charged to MJ as an advance to be recouped by AEG;
* That includes the cost of ALL production. we wonder if MJ was going to make ANY money from this deal at all;
* As Rowe correctly notes, production cost typically comes out of the gross ticket receipts and is considered a show expense, not something that the artist plays for out of his cut!
* AEG called for a 90/10 split of the proceeds with MJ getting 90%, however with MJ back paying ALL of the production costs;
* AEG could hold onto MJ’s cut of the concert proceeds for up to 60 days without giving it to him;
* Rowe points out that the artist compensation clause call for MJ receiving 90% of the ‘net pool revenue’ (gross ticket receipts minus expenses) of which MJ and his company are viewed as ‘potential participants’.
* Also in MJ’s contract with AEG was this whole separate clause for Tohme Tohme. AEG was paying $100k per month to Tohme UNDER A SEPARATE AGREEMENT UNDER TT INTERNATIONAL, LLC ( Tohme’s company). Tohme was also the President of the Michael Jackson Company at the time, so how is it that AEG can strike a deal with someone under the employ of MJ and what was in that TT International LLC agreement? Rowe sums it up: AEG paid Tohme to sell MJ out at MJ’s expense. Rowe also goes on to say that he believed the compensation to Tom Tom was for him to block out all over deals from MJ so that AEG was free and clear to do this horrible deal with MJ without competition or even knowledge of better deals on the table. Rowe also mentions that MJ was getting offers all over the world to do shows at multi-millions of dollars a pop.
