Food, there are some nice places but it depends on what foood you like and what prices you want to pay. Ask, Prezzo's, Zizzi's, Pizza Express are all good for standard Italian fare, prices are not too bad. Wagamamma's is always good food and value.

Bistro 1 is somewhere my friends and I go a lot. It is not expensive and the food is uaually very good. It is a mixture of English and Turkish with other European stuff thrown in http://www.bistro1.co.uk/

China Town off Leicester Square is good for cheap food. Some restaurants there are more highly priced but most have clear menus outside and I've never had a bad meal there.

The place I recommend is Kettners in Romilly Street in Soho. It is the original Pizza Express. It has a champagne bar but the main restaurant is fancy surroundings but the food is pizza, salads and pasta at normal Pizza Express prices.

If you want to go to Madame Tussards, go to the Planitarium first. Then you don't have to queue and you get straight into the main waxwork museum once you are done.

The London Eye, well worth a visit. Get there early though or the queue's are a nightmare if you go later.

Well worth seeing Buckingham Palace. If you go to Leicester Square you walk a short way down to Traflagar Square then you can walk up The Mall to Buckingham Palace.
 
Checked my Photobuket account today and noticed someone is posting our macros on another forum.

I don't mind but wouldn't mind a bit of credit for this thread and its members ...

Yes, I love Toronto...I am originally about 4 hours north from there....I couldn't live there, though...Too busy....

I loved my visit. It was bloomin' freezing both times but the people were so lovely and the food was amazing!

I don't think I 've ever seen a bed as big as the one in my hotel room :bugeyed

hahaha...did you stay right in downtown Toronto? what was the name of the hotel?

and yes, the food is incredible there...Lots of amazing restaurants....I thought it was cold in Ontario, but changed my mind once I moved to Alberta :bugeyed

To be honest I can't remember, it was a few years ago Maybe 'Delta' or something like that was in the name, I remember they had a pool on the 17th flor eith a saune there too! It was near the bay, that's all I remember :blush:

You put us to shame when delaing with cold weather. Here everything grinds to a halt, with you, its a fact of life.

The Delta Chelsea maybe? Lotsa beautiful hotels there, I could live in one...lol...

Yes, actually, about a few weeks before Christmas we had -59 with the windchill...only the schools were shut down, but they only shut down if it's colder than -40....
