"Michael", a biopic about Michael Jackson, is officially happening.

You’re comparing a blurry screenshot to a (photoshopped) promotional picture. Kinda rankling my brain dude, honestly. They weren’t supposed to be 1:1.
True my friend, but I couldn't find a similar still image from the Beat It short film, it was just an example albeit a poor one

I do think Jaafar is the best man to play Michael and I'm sure he's given it his best, I'm glad he was cast

What do you guys think about the teaser publication date? What could be a reason to announce it on Grammy show but not actually show it and then do it on a Monday? Seems of to me and as if either Grammys didn't want the trailer or the film company didn't want to be mixed into all the political and celebrity news of the awards 🤔
I can't see a good reason to choose a Monday. Since no celebration of number of views are being shared here i assume it was not massive too?
First Day of Black History Month

They literally filmed the 1993 raid at Neverland Ranch, and there are leaked photos from the set. There was also an article recently that came out about how stressful it was for Jaafar.
Wait where? Can I see these photos and the article please? Anybody got them???

Ok so you want a cookie cutter type movie where it’s all fluff and rainbows , got it 🙌

The harsh reality is that MJ’s life was far from fluff and rainbows. To this day, the man is being called a child predator by many.

This films needs to expose the truth and finally hit back at the hate on a global scale.

You are defo one of those fans that Paris said this film will cater to, those still living in fantasy land .
Agree with u

Article is here. This was how the movie opened and the entire story was centered around the Chandler allegations as major points of Michael’s life were explored, basically showing the journey of how things ended up where they did. Meeting Lisa Marie was the happy ending to the story. All gone now.

I remember a quote by Katherine somewhere about Michael insisting on a white faced chimpanzee (i looked it up, it's the east African sub species) and how this one is rare and was difficult to get. So a film trained individual might be especially hard to get. Maybe that's another reason for faking bubbles.
Google 'Travis the chimpanzee' and you'll see exactly why Bubbles is CGI.

I don't think it matters.

What could be a reason to announce it on Grammy show but not actually show it and then do it on a Monday?
I really don't think it matters.

These aren't really conversation topics.

I don’t think you’re allowed to use real animals on certain productions anymore, that will be why they had to CGI bubbles.
I don't believe that at all. I can make any movie about any animal I want, and nobody can stop me.

Also, I conclude from the cast and trailer that private non family relationships, I.e. girlfriends, will not be covered. I feel that this would be an important part of his life and groundwork for a prospective second part though. I would be interested in your opinions on that?
Yeah, it's a pretty obvious part of somebody's life. And an aspect of Michael's life that never got any coverage.

When he was alive I couldn't care less about that sort of private detail, but in a biopic I think it is something people would expect to learn more about.
