I even disagree with the thread title. Michael Jackson didn't unleash anything, nor was it Michael Jackson like we've never seen before.

Another thing that grated me- when was Michael ever out performed by his backup dancers? Never.

I enjoy it more now as I keep watching it cos I think it's a good way to keep Mike alive, but these comments need to be made so the Estate know that there is still a lot of work to do regarding a "Live Michael Jackson" experience

Yea, let’s catch this “hologram” and shoot it on the spot.

I am 100% positive the Estate is aware of how people feel about the performance- both good and bad. They have access to newspapers and the internet just like everyone else.

However, if you would like to make your opinion known to them (the more they know the better), feel free to post a message to them in the MJJC members submit messages to Estate via MJ Online Team thread :)

There is no guarantee that they will see what you say, or if they do see, there is no guarantee that they will act upon or respond to your comments- but it certainly doesn't hurt to voice your opinion.

Sorry but you know one letter from you and some others to the thread “MJJC members submit messages to Estate via MJ Online Team” and NO need to bother yourself with comments.

I think this is a fake screen capture, I follow PJ's account - I do NOT see this tweet! His last tweet was May 7. Can anyone verify?

How likely are the Estate to reply to my message if I send one? I'll definitely send a message if they reply.

I also make these comments for others to share their opinion, so I will bother making these comments in the forum thank you.

If they don't reply it doesn't mean they won't have read it, however, if you don't send it they definitely won't.

There is no guarantee they will reply if they even see what is said. In fact, I say go into it expecting nothing.

^^ This.

Well, it depends which way you are looking into this.
MJ indeed unleash something because he died and made executors responsible of his estate, and they made decision on MJ behalf. Secondly, it was most definitely Michael like we never seen before, or are you going to claim you seen MJ like that before :cheeky:

So it all for us!!! Thank you for your effort.

Something tells me you better to bother to send at least one letter to the Estate … from here they won’t hear you for sure.

Actually if you see any wrongs in the performance you just have to post it ALL to them !!! Make a list and post it. They arrange that “connection” with fans to know better.
Please, everyone, spend a little time on it.

I just think next time they should use MJ's actual performance capture (from Ghosts) instead of an impersonator or animation. Imagine that - MJ's actual dance moves with improved cgi face. That's whats needed to impress everyone.

I mean I'm not against presenting Michael virtually but it has to be something of quality, well made and convincing. What we saw last Sunday it wasn't whatsoever. I liked what it was done with Tupac, it gave me chills at moments.

The reason why im a bit disappointed with the performance is mainly due to the clear overhyping they did with it. Calling it "so life like it's like MJ is in the room" - and then a way too clear CG person appears
Overall i like the idea, and i like that they're at least trying to promote and bring attention to his art. After the Michael and bad25 releases, it IS nice to see them try :) (imo).
One can hope that in some years, after the technology has advanced, that they can bring the result and their hype to the same level :)

Why do people keep saying they wish it was like 2Pac's? IMO MJ's looked much more advanced, had much more detail. Pac's looked like a cartoon.

Exactly. Pac looked like Casper the Ghost. You could see through him. The only problem with Virtual MJ was the face. And you could barely see Pac's face because he was in the dark the whole time and had a microphone on his mouth the whole time.

I think what people mean by that is, Tupac's hologram looked like him. I agree with you though- what was shown Sunday night was far more advanced. It was all done via computer, not just light projections. That's what really separates the two.

This thought process is invalid. We can send letters to the Estate, and most likely won't be responded to. That doesn't mean people have to stop posting their differing opinions in this thread nor should they be expected to.

This thought process that you either have to like everything the Estate does, or be labeled a hater, is doing this forum more harm than those of us who simply feel this was lackluster.

Of course, not. Don’t stop but try not to do it in vain. You have a chance to post it and to be heard – so use your chance.

You are forgetting the other problem:

That some MJ impersonator learned the choreography, dance it, pretended to be MJ. The whole thing just stinks. I don't know about Tupac hologram, it looks less real but maybe that one was actually made without any other fake people involved in it, I don't know too much about it.

Definately, the move at 3:43 seals the deal. So question is.........whats the point in using a body doubles moves to track to then CGI a body?

This and the other post from Birchey where new technology is actually old fashioned smoke and mirrors. I do not see Estate/Sony admitting to an old fashioned parlor trick even if that was what that was.
