I hope its not true, its a real sad thing.

Re: Neverland MAY be auctioned on March 19, 2008 [keep all discussions here, please]

Yeah, and all you people that are criticizing the fans are right in this thread with those fans!

This is a fan message board. Of course fans are gonna be concerned about Michael losing Neverland. This is the kind of stuff fans are interested in.

I think we should just wait until March 19th and see what happens. We have been here before.....with documents and all! So don't count Neverland out just yet.

Re: Neverland MAY be auctioned on March 19, 2008 [keep all discussions here, please]

Friedman got us in a bundle.. I usually don't fall for it.. but. I guess he got us this time..

we usually don't fall for his crap..

Re: Neverland MAY be auctioned on March 19, 2008 [keep all discussions here, please]

Roger may have you, KOPV, but he doesn't have me! I know what this guy is all about. That is why even though he is dangling this document in front of my face, I feel compelled to wait and see what the outcome truly will be. That is just how little I rely on the words of this guy.

Like I said....let's see who owns Neverland Ranch come March 19th.

Re: Neverland MAY be auctioned on March 19, 2008 [keep all discussions here, please]

thank you ATLF and kingofpop2424. Really puts things into perspective. MJ's been through much worse situations than this and came out the true champion. I seriously doubt he won't this time. Besides how many times have we heard this garbage over the past ten years. It's so many I've lost count.

The only reason I think this has come up is becasue things according to the media for going a little too good for MJ, and as someone stated earlier is an attempt to destract us from what's important. This is nothing but a desperate attempt from the powers that be to bring MJ to his knees. They can't stand the fact that he's so well loved and successful and powerful all at the same time STILL after everything that he's been through. I take this as if they are pulling at straws as their last attempt to try and do what they know how. I ain't sweatin this and by the past few weeks by seeing MJ in good spirits and movin on with his music career, he ain't losin sleep over this. He knows how to handle himself very well. The media will fail miserably as they always has because

God is on Michael's side and always has been. I have complete faith that this matter will be resolved in a timely manner. And the media will look like fools once again. Can I get an Amen someone?!

Re: Neverland MAY be auctioned on March 19, 2008 [keep all discussions here, please]

Whatever happens I just hope Mike is OK with it.

BUT I don't see why he didn't sell it himself rather than loosing it on an auction.

And why on earth will he loose the furniture and personal stuff inside neverland??

Re: Neverland MAY be auctioned on March 19, 2008 [keep all discussions here, please]

About bloody time MJ is gunna get rid of Neverland!!! All it has been over the last few years is debt/trouble to MJ. Its a waste of time now. 95% of fans will be like oh no Neverland is MJ/ all the memories etc etc!! In reality, he should sell Neverland, the upkeep while he was there was like $250k+! He will be better off without it. IMO MJ needs to downsize his home! Especially while theres no huge paychecks coming in. And a $275mill loan to payoff.

If you REALLY believe Michael is gonna lose Neverland and is 275 million dollars in debt, you might as well believe he's a pedophile too.
Because they're all rumors and products of the playa hatin' ass media.
You know better.

.......

what? lol I mean neverland was great before the allegations, however after it, people think of it as this dangerous trap for kids and blah blah and MJ has also moved on from the peter pan issue, I think the trial took all the youth out of him! He said Neverland is NOT a home anymore, its just a house...and maybe he does not want to refinance it every year without using it! It will not make me sad one bit if neverland is auctioned...MJ has moved on from there..his fans should also do the same!

:punk:One million Amens to what you've said! I'm listening to All MJ on AOL radio right now and they just played "Whatever Happens", my eyes were totally teary for the lyrics and what he's been through for all these years. We as fans should keep the faith in him, he WILL work things out finally.:)

Re: Neverland MAY be auctioned on March 19, 2008 [keep all discussions here, please]

im sure that if it is auctioned off, the jackson family will bid on it on behalf of michael and he will just pay them back later. I can't see how michael would be in this much financial debt tho, so I dont believe any of that foxnews crap.

I disagree. I think Neverland still had its "greatness". After 1993, there were children's world confernce held there, inner city children and churches and organizations still went to Neverland. Even the 2003, many people still wanted to go. Like I have always said, you can not believe what many in the media tell you about the overall public. Look at Thriller 25. Some said that was a bad idea (and this not a new cd by Michael really. this is a 25 year old cd that has been remixed). Our media is full of mess and many people know it and the overall public is not falling for it no more.

Re: Neverland MAY be auctioned on March 19, 2008 [keep all discussions here, please]

My thoughts: I have always kept this image of Neverland being a sorta another world, where sun is always shining, flowers are like rainbows, music is played everywhere and where you can just forget everything else and be yourself, enjoy your time... Hold on.. that is exactly what Neverland was! Neverland was always a place for Michael where he was able to be himself, be just a normal human being without anyone harassing him. It was his safety place. I can't even imagine how he must have felt when he realised his home was destroyed and he can't live there anymore. His own home was taken away from him. And to be honest, that makes me sad. I know it's just a property and I believe your home is where your heart is. But just a thought of someone else owning the place, someone else walking on that property... shivers me at the moment and if that is what's going to happen, it might take some for me to accept the fact.

However it's Michael's decision to make. If he feels he wants to get rid of it, then I might shed a couple of tears.. But I'll fully respect his decision. I also believe one bad thing will bring out 2 good things, hopefully you get what I mean.

But like I already said, I believe your home is where you heart is and what makes Michael happy and smile, makes me happy and smile too.

God never gives you more than what you can handle.

Right......*rolls eyes*
So Michael should sell his HOME because of what some people THINK went on there?
Oh yeah, that makes alot of sense. LOL!
Look, if MJ really has moved on, he would've already sold the damn thing. So it's pretty obvious he has plans to return to it one of these days.

True. When has the media ever told a story about MJ that is true and honest. They talk about MJ being broke yet they NEVER say that he own half of the second largest recording catalogue in the world, exept when they want to blame him for advertising tunes.
I have never believed that MJ owes $275 mil dollars. It doesn't make sense that is why I refused to believe it. For example, no bank is going to lend out such large amount of money for personal use.
Also it would not make any sense for MJ to be borrowing that large amount of money for personal use. It woud be needed for investment.
Sony would never allow MJ to jepordise the company by putting it up as collateral. It would never happen,
Yes, I do believe that there is an outstanding loan, but that loan was for Sony/atv to buy more catalogues. There is evidence that sony did expand the catalogue that year. If Sony /Atv borrows money, both MJ and Sony's exec has to sign for the loan. I believe that that was the reaSON WHY SONY WAS INVOLVED IN THE LOAN REFINANCING and for no other reason,. It was a joint loan.
Another thing. That same year that the large loan was refinanced Mj offered his Neverland as collateral. That money was used to pay John Branco for his share of the catalogue that MJ bought off him. Had the large loan been MJ's, he would have added that money to the loan, but he did not because that was a private loan, not the company loan. It is the company loan that the media keeps going on about Mj owing. Lies.

Re: Neverland MAY be auctioned on March 19, 2008 [keep all discussions here, please]

Repeat from the closed one:

If true, it is not the end of the World, either of Michael's world. I hope he now is strong enough to let it be, and may be is able to concentrate himself on the future. This may be a turning point and a caesura is often important, especially for an artist, for further development.

Re: Neverland MAY be auctioned on March 19, 2008 [keep all discussions here, please]

I got a question: if Neverland was still a part of his heart and soul, then why hasn't Michael returned to the place yet? I think he was too overwhelmed by legal troubles and authorities destroying portions of the house to even think of returning to that place. If he pays up, great, if he doesn't, great.

It'll be the end of an era for sure but that doesn't mean that we have to go crazy over news that constantly comes about it. We can't stop their "news", but at the same time, if MJ finally said "enough", then I'll be alright with it too.

I've always been 50/50 over the place anyway.

Re: Neverland MAY be auctioned on March 19, 2008 [keep all discussions here, please]

yeah but sell it, not let it get it foreclosed on. If Michael didn't want it, he should've sold it back in 2005

Re: Neverland MAY be auctioned on March 19, 2008 [keep all discussions here, please]

I don't think it would be too big of a deal like Fried Chicken is making it out to be.

Re: Neverland MAY be auctioned on March 19, 2008 [keep all discussions here, please]

Sorry guys, but the house I grew up in, AND was molested in was destroyed many years ago and I have no regrets. It would have been my inheritance, but to me, it mattered more that the bad memories were gone. Maybe that is how Mike feels. He would rather have those horrible memories of the G-d D-mn Arviso's gone rather than go back and try to resurrect something that is not there anymore. Face it, the magic has left Neverland. Michael, however, carries that magic with him where ever he goes.

Besides, he can rebuild anything he wants, anywhere he wants. Why would he go back there where there are so many bad memories. Sorry guys, but I understand him abandoning it so much. It makes sense to me.

I still wish I could have visited Neverland in its prime. Would have made for exceptional memories of course. I'll just have to be happy to have met Michael on set, rather than at his home. :-(
