Trees can save lifes.
When there are no or only some trees left after tree felling,to many animals have eaten grass and such things and it starts to rain heavy it´s likely to be a earth-slip and flooding.
Recently in Kenya 90 persons have died,2604 dead animals(not wild ones),533 acres fields destroyed.

There is a big ravine created for maybe 40-50 years ago. It´s growing 20-25 meters every year and they don´t know how to stop it.The goverment knows about it, charities, worldbank, no one knows what to do.
Some one says it isn´t impossible, if you send out 1000 people to plant trees on the hills

This is just in Kenya,I have no idea how many has died because there´s not enough trees to keep the ground in place in other places in the world.

Michael has 106 trees in Africa, maybe there are more that I don´t know about.

Michael loved Nature as we all know. Let's plant Trees & Help Mother Earth.

I donated to Natures Conservancy and American Trees ( both supported through links on MJ sites) but I wish we can do one organization because then my money would not be split and the trees divided. Putting the numbers together would be an amazing amount.
I know these are similiar organizations but I had to support both since both support Michael.

I've done the same. I support both of them on a monthly basis. American Trees already have 6,100 trees pledged for Michael. I agree that if we could somehow combine the two it would have greater impact.
 
Hi Everyone I recently organised a charity night as part of a MJWorldCry event in Melbourne Australia to commemorate the first anniversary of Michael's passing. One of the charities we decided to support was the MJJC Legacy Initiative 'To Plant a Tree in Michael's Honor' I'm happy to report as a result of this I've just made a donation for 200 trees.

I pledged again for both Arbor Day and Nature Conservancy on behalf of Michael. In addition, I also give monthly through my Giving Campaign at work; however, they do not apply it on behalf of Michael. Nevertheless, the money is still going toward planting trees. I will continue to give on my own monthly on behalf of Michael as well. Much L.O.V.E. to you all. :wub::angel:

I've planted trees for both Nature Conservancy and Arbor Day again for July. My goal is to donate every month in honor of Michael.. Keep up the good work everyone. We are truly making a difference. :clapping::wub::angel:
