a poster on TMZ posted this and it's good.. she is so right.. Murray is guilty
Using propofol for chronic insomnia is like using a bomb to kill a house fly. It's over the top..
Dr. Murray was getting paid $150,000 a month by AEG. That excessive fee was the price, according to his own conscience, that made it worth the cost of abandoning his medical ethics and intentionally endangering his patient's life. Michael was responsible for his own behavior and maintaining his own recovery. He could have begged until he turned blue. He could have offered Murray every cent he owned. The argument that Michael would have sought another doctor if Murray had refused does not diminish Murray's responsibility for his death one bit. The patient's health and well-being should be the doctor's first and foremost concern. The doctor is entrusted to determine the best care for his patient. He is not paid to do what his patient tells him to do. The patient is not the one who went to medical school. The patient is not the one licensed to strictly adhere to required standard of care for administering any and all drugs. That is the physician's responsibility. His oath to "first do no harm" did not contain the clause, "unless there is a sizable paycheck involved". The notion that Murray's recklessness was justified because Michael asked for the propofol is preposterous. Murray should have said "NO". Period. If he thought Michael had an addiction to propofol or any other substance when he agreed to take him as a patient, then why on earth would he give it to him? If that were the case, he should have gotten him into a detox center and back into rehab. If Michael said he could not sleep without being knocked unconscious with a powerful surgical anesthesia, then as his physician, it was Murray's responsibility to get him into a sleep study to diagnose the problem and determine an appropriate and SAFE program to treat and manage his insomnia.
