I really hope this is wot Paris truly wants and isnt gettin pushed into doing it.I hope that its her decision and her alone but I have doubts about that....The rest of the jacksons have to eat and live in a great lifestyle regardless that they do NOTHING to earn it so they might feel that they have to put Michaels kids out there and make more money.....As much as I disagree with them especially knowing that they knew wot Michael felt about his own childhood and that he always tried to keep them out of the spotlight,I truly do wish Paris all the best in wotever she decides to do,the same goes for Prince and Blanket.

The fan tweeted Paris and told her to get ready for a flop and that she might end up just like her aunt LaToya, become a failed actress and pose for Playboy. The fan even called Paris a spoiled brat. How cruel for that person to say such things to any 13 year-old? </SPAN>I would actually give some credits to Paris for the way she responded to the fan. The way she carried herself was still more gracious than many adults. I&#8217;m a 31 year-old woman. If someone called me a failed person who&#8217;s going to take my clothes off for money. I think I might lose it. </SPAN>Those fan comments are by no means constructive criticism. They didn&#8217;t communicate any concerns at all. They were accusatory and inflammatory. They were indeed borderline hatred. That person basically started calling Paris names. </SPAN>That fan might think she/he was warning Paris and mean well. But, it doesn&#8217;t work that way. To Paris, fans are total strangers. Why would anyone think Paris might listen to a total stranger from the internet? How many fans have actually met and talked to the children? We all see things from distance. We have no idea what the truth really is. </SPAN>Thus far, has anyone seen Paris calling people who offered her constructive criticism haters? actually have you seen the very first tweets? She asked what would Michael have thought about it? and then after Paris's response she said she believed her to be too young. Which Paris was dismissive. Then Paris's followers started to harass her while Paris calling her a "hater" to her followers and then it went all downhill. She called her a spoiled brat due to her behavior and made a mockery when Paris and her online friends resorted to "you don't know me personally" (none of Paris's followers / friends didn't know her personally either) and then it became a lot worse as Paris's followers started attacking her, she in turn attacked Paris.

Anyhow what I'm saying is that the first tweets were actually questions / constructive criticism to which Paris's approach was dismissive and in "you're a hater" format. And again I'm not saying this in a bad way, it just shows that she's a kid (or a classic Jackson?) that doesn't even consider a legit concern.

I think this is irrelevant. We are at a Michael Jackson forum that has thousands of members and millions of posts. How many of us actually met and talked with Michael? When you put yourself on the spotlight in any way, the public will talk about you, will criticize you and so on. whether they know you or not will be irrelevant.

Those are things that I doubt Paris has ever thought about, or has any idea about actually. All she knows from fame is the love from her dad's fans, and what her family has been feeding her (we are music royalty, people love us, blah blah). She has no clue what's out there, and the disagreements of that life style. Being followed by paps, and having her pic in magazines is just a game. She went from anonymity to unjustified fame way too fast. She's like a moth flying around a flame.

I dont think she has any idea people can criticize her and disagree with what she says or does. No need to say, dont count on her "royal" family to guide her through this.

I not gonna crush this childs dream by critizing what her dream is. Maybe she is to young but, hopefully by 18 she will really know what she wants and if it's still acting then good for her. But, some MJ fans like this person on twitter need to sit their asses down and stop acting like their opinion is second to what MJ would have wanted for Paris. My hope is that in everything the kids choose to do in their lives as they keep growing won't have people constantly tellin them MJ wouldn't want them to do this and that. They gotta make their own choices and it's evident Paris really wants this right now. And let's be happy it's a postive film she is staring in.

I hope it's just her age and and maybe brainwashed attitude (i.e. Taj everyone who is not PRO our bullshit is against us), let's hope and pray to God she does not have the classic Jackson attitude, I sincerely wish she keeps her father's teaching close to her heart.

I agree, although I think there's a difference between accepting having your choices being criticized (like Ivy said, it's part of being, well, any human and even more a public figure), which you have to accept, and having people hating you for no reason.

It seems Paris is used to having people following her and sending her loving messages, but not to being criticized. If it's the case, she's in for a tough ride. :(

that's for damn sure a tough ride and a rough awakening if you ask me, it's sad that none of the leeching adults whom she calls family, have taken her to the side and told her the negative aspects of showbiz, and being a public figure. All they've done is to to fill up her teenage head, with delusions of fame and celebrity. This girl is not going to be protected by her loving auntie La Loony Tune, or her Grandma, Uncle's Tito, Marlon, Randy and Jackie would rather sell a story about her, than actually bother to give good advice. She's all by herself, all alone, thinking she's got her royal family behind her, though the truth couldn't be any further.

If ppl are comparing her and worried about her because of Lindsay Lohan, well let me put you at ease. Lindsay Lohan was raised by irresponsible parents. Her mother was never really a good strong, disciplinarian mother like any good parent should be. She didn't have the good family structure in place like Paris has. Paris in turn was raised by a very protective, loving, caring but also disciplinarian father who stressed family values and good, strong morals. Now she is raised by Michael's mother that is caring and loving too. So, I honestly do not see Paris following Lindsay's path- NO WAY.

This sounds like a good movie with all the qualities that Michael believed in. I think Michael would have been okay with it.

I really can't wait to see Paris develop into a great actress. I can see her taking Michael's advice and practicing and being determined to do your very best. She'll have a built in fan base!

I wish Paris would get off twitter and not respond to people. Most of us grew up without twitter and are fine without it. If she is serious about acting then she should study and learn her craft. Some crazy person sent her and her brother her father's autopsy picture if I remember. I think it is not needed.

Paris was raised by the father you described, but she lost him at a very young age. Since then she's been raised by a family that has no structure, and apparently no other value than fame and money. KJ is certainly loving, but she's not protective and I believe she's too old to take care of 3 kids, thus letting her other kids doing a lot of the job; which is disastrous IMO.

That being said, and it's my own opinion of course, I hope you're right and the values Michael taught her will prevail. I dont think she a bad kid, far from it, but she seems a bit lost to me.

Again very well said Ben, especially the lost part, though tbh who wouldn't be lost if they had undergone such a drastic change in only 2 years? From having a protective, shielding loving yet strict father she went to ''do whatever the heck you want'', and this imo is dangerous considering the age range she is imo. Especially since all Jackson's are being raised to think they belong in showbusiness when it couldn't be any more obvious that neither them nor their their parents ever belonged in showbusiness.

My point is none of us ever met Paris; yet, some are making comments like she’s acting like a spoiled brat. She’s enjoying the spotlight. She’s brainwashed into thinking she’s a music royalty. She’s too young and naïve. Hold on! These comments are getting personal, in my opinion. How could anyone who has never met her make an assessment based on just her tweets? I guess we all can agree that our on-line behavior is not exactly the same as our day-to-day behavior. Don’t we all have different personas? Aren’t we all seeing things from a distance? Now, some are saying Paris is still a child based on a couple of tweets she sent out, while people who actually met her and talked to her said things like she’s mature beyond her age. See what I’m getting here? I don’t know whether she’s childish or mature. I have no way to know unless I spend some time with her. I have to accept the fact that I don’t know her enough. So many pretend to know exactly what Michael would have wanted for his children and act like they are the children’s guardians, which is just wrong. Why subject Paris to such pressure? Whenever she makes a move, she has to answer to fans of her father that keep telling her “do you think your father would have wanted this?” </SPAN>

That she decided to get involve in the film? Again, how much do we know about the film? What gave the fan basis to offer her constructive criticism? None of us even knows how good or how bad an actress she is. Did the fan criticize her for agreeing to be in the film? If so, doesn’t it sound more like crushing a teenager’s first try of fulfilling a dream than offering constructive criticism? You said the fan asked questions. What kind of questions? Nevertheless, when things got downhill, it’s still extremely inappropriate for that fan to say she’s better getting ready for a flop and be another LaToya and pose for Playboy. She/he did say those mean spirit things to a 13 year-old teenager. There is no excuse for it. Instead of examining every single move of Paris with a microscope, may be some fans, like the one who tweeted Paris, need to get a reality check and understand that their actions cause nothing but harms. </SPAN>

It’s alright to have concerns. However, it’s important not to cross the line. Isn’t it still too premature to say whether it’s a good move or bad move for Paris? Some here act like she’s heading into a downhill slope and she’s going to spend her life as a Z-lister. Fans are getting too cynical, which is not constructive at all. </SPAN>

isnt that fan who tweeted paris a known looney tune anyway? it concerns me that paris is gonna think all fans are crazies based off idiots like that. especially when mj had such a wonderful relationship with us and the kids know how close we all were to him. and that the vast majority only care for them and their well being.

I really don't get why she doesn't make her Twitter private, her being Michael Jackson's daughter attracts all kinds of loony tune's, also her starting her acting career is only going to make it worse. She needs to ignore the idiots instead of fighting back.

Okay... I may get shot by saying this. Fans, including me, do not think of the Jackson family highly. We think the family members are greedy and stupid. True. Some of the business deals they entered are embarassingly shady. But still, I have never heard of any one of the Jackson get involved in drugs or alcohols. None of the younger generation Jacksons has involved in any trouble yet. None of the younger generation Jackson is known for being a party animal. The family hasn't raised a Lindsay Lohan or Paris Hilton yet. Is it true that all young members are raised to think they belong to showbiz? Are Marlon's children in showbiz? Are all of Jermaine's children in showbiz? Are all of Randy's children in showbiz? Isn't it true that one of Randy's children studies at Harvard?

The family does not have savy business sense generally speaking. That's very true. Some members are greedy. That's also very true. But, the family isn't totally moral-less.

Although I did speak about the topic in general about "who's been a fan longer" - " who's been on a board longest" "who knows most" etc. etc. etc.
Anyway,Thank you for elaborating. I agree with you on this post of yours above especially the part about those who make statements about this or that with seeming conviction but truely do not (as you said) know about certain 'events' that took place concerning certain people and how it seemed to effect Michael and/or his career,life,buisness etc. You're right. One shouldn't make statements with complete conviction without knowing the back story on what happened. In my humble opinion we should try to be as knowledgeable as possible to the subject we post about..as well as open minded to others points of view. In other words try to be considerate of what those people did to michael be it people he trusted or sometimes..even his family. And,I've always understood that. I think sometimes posters either have selective memories or as said don't know the back stories...and that dosen't have nada to do with how long one has been apart of a fan forum. :)

About Paris. I wish her the best. I do. I support her. I'm a admirer of her father. I could add more about it..details etc, but my previous post says the general basics of how I,myself perceives it all.

So, why would we suggest that Paris is acting like a child, when a "known looney tune" harassed her with such inappropriate tweets? Would we not get upset when a total stranger tell us we are destined to fail?

This is not the first time Paris acts out like this, she's done it numerous time before and she'll do it again, because according her beliefs you have to be against her if you disagree with her. And guess what people suggest she's acting like a child, because God forbid at 13 she does not possess the maturity of a 20 year old yet.
