Personal MJ Collection and Official Memorabilia Discussion

Re: Share Your Memorabilia and Discuss Below

Here are the treasures of my collection. I'd love to see what you guys own, and maybe a few stories of how you became a fan.

Wow! Looks like you're collecting a lot of items with signatures. I don't have any signatures, but I do have a reasonably large collection of a wide range of items.

Also @Zakk: We already have a thread which was begun in 2008, for posting pics and videos of our MJ collections, so I've merged your thread into it. You might enjoy scrolling back and checking out what other members have in their homes. :)

The four items I treasure most are the one's that Michael personally owned. The Superbowl jacket, Red Bracelet, The Pooh bear and the comic book. I also have a few great sealed LP's: HIStory, BAD, Thriller, Off The Wall, ET, Souvenir 9 Singles pack etc. as well as an unused Milton Keynes 88' Ticket, HIStory Tour Programme and a few other bits. Would love to see some of the things you own.

I noticed the Pooh bear and the Superbowl jacket right away! They are incredible items to have in your possession.

You mentioned a Souvenir Singles Pack, Zakk. This is the one I have. These records actually play, on a turntable, but unfortunately I don't have a turntable any more.

I was on Live Auctioneers when the place I work re opened and I had to log into the site and bid till I won, was well worth it. The pooh bear is beautiful, when I saw it.. I did anything to own it. Its the same with the red bracelet Michael snapped off his wrist along with the signed Invincible CD from June 16th 09'.

Re: Share Your Memorabilia and Discuss Below

This is one of the more unusual items I have. Nesting MJ Babushka dolls - these are hand-made...painted by hand also.

They look great, the artist is extremely talented. I'm thinking of buying a rotating display cabinet eventually but my current address is pretty small for that right now.

Re: Share Your Memorabilia and Discuss Below

I've scrolled back and found out that most of my images posted in this thread five years ago (almost to the day) have now disappeared.
I will try to find them and upload them again.

:(

Here is a little extra info on the back story of the bracelet.

I was watching TII, I messaged the seller and asked if I could purchase the bracelet and accompanying CD for a lower price than what it currently was at in auction. Something clicked, I had to own them you know? So I bid, extremely glad I did.. They truly are treasures in the most literal sense.

I wouldn't be so sure when it comes to signatures. not trying to be an deddie downer but you can't know whatever or not their real. alot of fans stop buying signatures long time ago because alot found alot of them are fake.

so for my advice and others make sure those signatures are real. you do not wanna spend alot of money on fake signatures. that's waste of money.

People just have to do proper checks and be careful about it, that's all. A lot of claims that signatures are fake are not always true, either - those claims are born from jealousy and fear-mongering, in my opinion. The cost of the item and the integrity of the seller are usually the key indicators.

I have an item that is auto-signed. Auto-signed means that Michael's actual signature is used as a template and then the signature is computer generated from that, or signed by machine - so, in other words, it is not personally and individually signed by Michael in his own handwriting, but it's still his signature, none-the-less. I don't mind having something that is auto-signed, as long as I know that's what I'm buying.

An authentic, personally signed item is obviously WAY more valuable and special, of course. That goes without saying.

This is on my wall in my office. I love it a lot. It's a limited edition - #342 out of 500 and as you can see, it has a signature on the Dangerous tour image. When I bought it, I knew that it wasn't personally signed; it was sold as a limited edition, auto-signed item. I still like it that his signature is on there, though. It adds something to the piece.

I guess people want personally signatures that Michael signed by hand at that moment. which is understandable. this is nice even though he didn't sign by hand at an personally moment.

It's such a shame 😞 and just to evil to do something like that to others that hope to get the real deal.
