Pictures / News from Forest Lawn 2012

I miss Michael so much. But I know he would appreciate all that the fans who went to Forest Lawn or are going to Forest Lawn are doing for him.

The roses are amazing, all 10,000 of them. I hope I can be there some time to see things like this. I miss you Michael. I really, really do

Thank you for this thread. It looks beautiful on this day. I cannot believe it has been three years. Where has the time gone? It feels just like yesterday. I really wish I could be there today. Hopefully someday I can be.
Oh Michael, if only we weren't on complete, opposite ends of the country. :(

All for love, guys. Remember.

Some of the roses went to Elizabeth Taylor:

thankyou so much to these lovely ladies!!! it gives me so much peace knowing that i could send michael flowers from the other side of the world. fit for the king!
i hope the flowers keep coming. mjfc was doing a sunflower delivery too.

That looks beautifull! Michael would be so proud of it and you really did a good job!!!

It's so nice you remembered Elizabeth Taylor as well! How come you were able to put a rose in front of her statue? Were you able to enter the Great Hall or does she have a statue outside?

OMG - It's just so touching to see all this!! So amazing and beautiful. I wish we could all be there.

Hi, I merely posted the pics that the group posted on facebook (I'm nowhere near Forest Lawn unfortunately) - but from having been to Forest Lawn a number of times I know that the statue is publicly accessible.
The In Memoria angel is located in the part of the Great Mausoleum that houses the "Last Supper" stained window. There's a presentation there every 30 minutes.
The statue is therefore part of the Great Mausoleum to which the general public has access- you still have to get past "Joan", or whoever else sits in the booth at the Museum entrance- but the public can indeed visit Ms. Taylor's location.

I think they just brought the roses over with no problem- I'm sure security inside was informed about the rose delivery outside to begin with.

Randy brought some fans into the mausoleum including quite a controversial person... He's meeting fans outside now.

I hate they are doing that at Fl..it should be only flowers and a deep silence ...nothing more..there is nothing to celebrate...it's a memorial day, a day for mourning ..a very sad day..

Inside the Mausoleum???
Who was this controversial person? Please tell us! Please don't let it be one of those journalists or other public figures who trashed Michael when he was alive and everybody but Michael's family knows it!

Michael Jackson's Death - Fans Send 10k Roses to MJ's Gravesite
Exclusive

0625-michael-jackson-memorial-roses-launch-2.jpg

A MJ fan group based in L.A. tells TMZ ... they used social media sites to raise money from fans all over the world for the memorial project ... finally collecting over $30k.

All that green bought a lot of flowers ... over 10,000 roses were delivered to Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, CA today -- where the King of Pop was laid to rest in 2009 -- all to honor the late-singer on the anniversary of his death.

What's more -- we're told the roses will be put to good use and recycled after today ... over half will be sent to senior centers and other places where they can be used to make people happy. Michael Jackson died June 25, 2009 ... he was 50.

Randy tweeted he would be there today.

"Randy Jackson ?@randyjackson8
3 years ago on this June 25th, my brother passed. I will be at FL from 11am-1pm today to visit him."

0625-randy-jackson-splash-article-4.jpg

An emotional Randy Jackson commemorated the three year anniversary of the death of his younger brother Michael Jackson by visiting Forest Lawn cemetery in Los Angeles on Monday.

Randy paid his respects and also posed for pics with MJ fans -- including a King of Pop impersonator -- who had come to Michael's final resting place.
