I was poking around online for information about Randy Phillips. I came across this page:

http://www.hitsdailydouble.com/news/newsPage.cgi?news07691

It has an email that Randy wrote to a (now former) friend in response to the friend sending out a "mass email" with a "tasteless cartoon" that includes a reference to MJ's death. Randy says some interesting things in the email, so just thought I'd share it.

It looks to me that Randy Philips truly appreciated Michael and his talents and what could have been. THANKS SO MUCH for posting.

Did you catch this? A 60 million dollar film of the last year of Michael's life? Will it be fiction?

"It might also pain Glatman to know that we just closed a $60m deal against a gigantic back-end for the rights to the film that will be created from all the footage we so wisely shot from the beginning of this project to the last rehearsal. It is riveting and an honest tribute to the person Berry Gordie at the worldwide broadcast of the memorial service we produced, referred to as "the greatest entertainer that ever lived."

AEG, as a company, will come out of this tragedy extremely well and I will always have my memories of what could have been and that of a unique human being who truly touched my life."

Did you see the cartoon? Randy Phillips with his Roger Friedman doll???
Sorry but that's not tasteless to me that's priceless! :hysterical:
Yeah but I understand where R.P.s anger is coming from. He's of cuz entitled to it.

Vic that was from July already... so he might was talking about the Sony deal cuz of ThisIsIt.

Ah, ok. But it said it was "about the last YEAR of his life?"

Didn't see the cartoon. Will look again. . . . . .

Randy wasn't referring to the film as being about the last year of his (MJ's) life. He's referring to the Rolling Stone article he mentioned, which was likely attached to his original email.

"In closing, I have attached a very well-written and researched article in the new Rolling Stone Magazine. For those interested in the truth about the last year of Michael's life, here it is.It might also pain Glatman to know that we just closed a $60m deal against a gigantic back-end for the rights to the film that will be created from all the footage we so wisely shot from the beginning of this project to the last rehearsal. Oh yeah--and my first impression with regard to Randy's scathing words--- "don't rock this MJ$$$ gravy train". And, yes Randy--you "so wisely shot from the beginning of this project to the last rehearsal"---extremely wise, right Randy???

didnt Frank said that it was Michael's personal wish to shoot everything and that's why they looked here and there and "fundraised" (sorry for the sarcasm) some money and bought him a couple of cheap cameras?

What cartoon?

What well-written and researched Rolling stone article.? Is he referring to that hatchet job about MJ having a fake nose.?

It wasn't a cartoon making fun of Michael. It was a cartoon making fun of Randy Phillips, no wonder he was so upset. But I did enjoy the Roger Friedman doll, that was priceless!

yeah one can say some media really make an effort to show Mr. Brandon Phillips in such a sweet nice light uh?
