:clapping:

Michael has nobody else but us to defend his name for his chidren.

for the first bolded part..I am not disrespecting Michael's family as much a THEY are disrespecting Michael's legacy and his children's memory of their father. If Michael was still here..they would never on a million years be going on all these talk shows saying.."Oh yes we had many interventions when it comes to Michael"....first of all because Michael would defend himself..and second because half of the one's running their mouths KNOW that Michael would of cut their asses off financially in a flat second. But now it seems like all of a sudden they feel pretty brave to be able to say what they want. If it is true...if there REALLY were interventions....then why dont they tell us when? Why dont they name Michael's drug of choice? They sure the hell can sit back and publically give a different version of the truth than what the autopsy report supports...so when you talk about forgiveness for the family and Michael would want me too and all that...no sorry...Michael would want me to do just what it is I am doing....and that is standing by him in HIS TIME OF NEED....and fighting for the right for his children to NOT walk around 10 years from now thinking...My dad Michael Jackson was an addict. HE should not EVER have to be remembered this way by his children.

Please forgive me for not addressing each of you by name, however some of the things discussed here seemed to repeat and it seems more feasible to discuss the topic than directing a response to any specific individual, furthermore what I have to say should not be taken as an argument with anyone but simply as a statement in reply to previous posts I've browsed through...

It has been stated here more than once that Michael's family never staged an intervention and that there was never talk of intervention before hand but someone perhaps without realizing it brought up the fact that a press release was made years back stating that certain family members were not involved in an intervention... In light of the fact that a press release was issued whether true or not true that an intervention was discussed it is apparent that they did in fact make mention of intervention in the effort of denying them. During that same time span some may recall Ramone Baine and Grace being amongst those others accused of controlling Michael while giving him medications to keep him passive... That too was years before 2009.

It is easy to question where was Michael's family during certain time periods of his life. We don't know, for all we know they could have communicated with him every single day or if he was too busy or perhaps too emotional to communicate then perhaps they inquired of others to know how he was doing. Some fans and supporters of Michael's were around during the 05' trial. Some moved to California for the purpose of supporting him. Tell me, do you think those who dared to overturn their lives and leave family, friends and all they knew to be there to support him loved him more than those who were not there? Perhaps some had financial means to travel to California once or more or could comfortably live here and show their efforts of support does that make them less loving than those who suffered and struggled in their efforts of the same? What about those who sent posters, notes and cards, does that make them more caring than the ones who prayed? I think not. I understand that God instructs the hearts of His people and it was not for everyone to converge on Santa Maria to show support to Michael but each of us showed our love in our way whether visible or invisible to mans eyes, it was there. Surely all of you can agree with this, so tell me how and why should or would we be less understanding to Michael's flesh and blood? Do we feel since their brother is going through struggles and heartache that they should overturn their and their families lives to sit in a court room where there is absolutely nothing they could do save pray and listen and be in pain from the uncomfortable seating? They could pray and learn of what was going on while maintaining their own families lives and spare themselves of the aches associated with courtroom seats which I personally think someone should file petitions to have them corrected before people develop skeletal dysfunction from being seated thereon.

Many think that the Jackson family shouldn't say anything concerning Michael and planned interventions whether they existed or not still others want dates, names of medications he was using and so forth... This reminds me of a little phrase we use to joke around with when I was a child... "You can please some of the people all of the time, All of the people some of the time but you can't please me none of the time." I feel like attributed that quote to Michael Jackson's fan... I don't say that to be mean, rude crude or sarcastic but I think many fail to realize we are this huge group encompassing vast personalities stretched across the globe with many differences of opinions desires and so forth all wanting what we want... In that how are they, Michael's family to please us as a group? I really don't think that is possible and I think his family has gone above and beyond in their cares and compassions towards Michael's fans even teaching him from the time he was a child to be gracious and appreciative of the love and affection he received. Michael never forgot what Mrs. Katherine taught him and even as they did at Haven Hurts and 2300 Jackson street by allowing people into their homes that they scarcely knew he continued to do at Neverland Valley Ranch etc. Please tell me, how are they to please us all?
I'm not sure if people are aware or paid much attention to it but Michael's fans quotes have made headlines and become articles in these latter years with the media being ever so desperate for any story they can spin, so it doesn't matter who is speaking they are always around.

I encourage people to be more "like Michael" because that is the commonality we have amidst our vast diversities. It is what we love, honor, respect and appreciate and no doubt would not be displeased to find such qualities appearing in ourselves....

There is so much I wish I could say and so many things I am trying to find answers to but I know why Michael loved his fans so much... I see your hearts and no matter how angry, bitter, hateful or sour things get your love for Michael shines through.

Thank you to those who expressed thanks concerning my post and love and God's blessing to you all!!!

Barbara walters is so annoying, i don't understand how she lasted this long in journalism. Rebbie looked good, she handled the questions well.

it's appreciated that you could see and say the bolded, Sharon B. Sidney.

anyway..on another note, in general.

i have to say..i feel like i'm in a conundrum universe. the way these Jacksons can say MJ was a drug addict, and then compartmentalize, and announce they're touring, and act surprised that nobody knows about it.
i'm not exactly interested in seeing Rebbie in concert. i see too much medical evidence to the contrary about the drug addict label.

i also fail to see how some who post in here, are always claiming to be surprised that threads like these blow up, considering what these Jacksons say, is explosive. and i fail to see how some posters somehow think that people are going off topic, when it's quite clear that anything Rebbie says, is the topic. i don't look past the grief. but i would hope, that no matter how much i grieve about someone, i don't accuse someone of something, of which, i don't have absolute unshakable unequivocal truth. if MJ and i mean IF..a BIG IF..if MJ took injections to take away the pain, that came with his skin disorder, that is not drug addiction. i heard Lisa Marie Presley, say that was what he was doing, and she didn't want to be around it. so...looking at someone, and assuming something, can very well easily be taking 2 plus 2 and making it out to be one thousand. i keep harping on the fact that i know of some friends who take injections for chronic physical pain, and that does NOT amount to drug addiction. otherwise, we could call all cancer patients drug addicts.

i could see how Walters ended the interview, as if being satisfied, after Ms Jackson accused MJ of being a drug addict. then Walters did the obligatory plug for Ms. Jackson's tour. but obligatory is the operative word. i wonder if Walters is going to see her in concert? and then Walters speaks of loving Michael..but, constantly repeating, directly, or indirectly the addict accusation, without proof, is not love, from Walters. naturally, i can't argue with what Ms. Jackson feels for her brother. it's all too easy for those who would disagree with me, to have at it, if i said i didn't like Ms. Jackson's interpretation of love. but i'm entitled to my feelings.

Someone else in this thread (I can't remember who) suggested that the Jackson's should just not comment on the addiction/intervention questions. I agree. If Michael did have an addiction at any time, it's a personal, private matter. The autopsy showed that an addiction had nothing to do with his death, so, IMO, it's not appropriate for his family members to even be discussing it with interviewers.

When they're asked about a drug addiction, I think that it would be nice if they would just change the subject back to Dr. Murray and the autopsy results.

I sort of suspect that some of the "intervention" talk is an attempt to make the Jackson family look close and united, as if they knew Michael well and tried to help him with his problems. The truth seems to be that Michael just wasn't that close to his family, other than Katherine.

But see thats the problem..they DONT state when..they make people ASSUME that they are talking about recent...before Michael passed. They dont specify..they dont say what drugs Michael was addicted to if it WAS recent...That family needs to clarify themselves as to what it is they mean. It is NOT that difficult..

Yea they do need to clearer. The closest thing thar Rebbie said was that in the end that wasn't the problem. N that was the only time someone went more into detail.

Exactly. That's the bottom line. The entire Jacksons family know exactly how the media works. They know that they'll take any little things out of context and turn it into a slanderous story about Michael. That's why talks of drug addiction and intervention should be a big NO NO.

But alas, it's the only condition the media even approches them: We plug your thing if you talk about this. Plain and simple. That's the deal. There's no ambush or entrapment. The Jacksons all know how it works and they oblige regardless of how it will affect MJ's kids throughout their lifes.

Speak it!:clapping:

She was there to talk about Michael and his 3 children, anything else was just a GUISE to get her there. LOL!

Only Rebbie it seems did'nt realise that before hand!

"Of course you can come on and discuss your latest project, Rebbie." But once she get's into that Hot Seat, it's all about MICHAEL. So Typical!

As usual.

Just to add a little something to your comments:

Their brother was in "denial," they "couldn't lead a horse to water," and there were "many, many interventions," YET they had no problem BEGGING this so-called drug addict to go on stage and be a part of the Jackson Family Reunion Concert.

That's the little FACT that always get's me. Do they think WE forgot about the BEGGING that was going on by certain family members?

It's not like the BEGGING was a secret, it was public knowledge and had been discussed by different family members. So much so, that at ONE point I thought it actually "might" happen.

Thank you for highlighting that point, 'cause if they have forgottn the fans surely have'nt! I am so waiting for someone to call them all out on this bull!

Well... Obviously the tour was part of the rehabilitation program. Duh!

Good one:D

LOL.... I guess that's why Leonard Rowe was brought in the picture. Was Leonard supposed to be the drug therapist helping with the intervention?

Oh lord! you guys are on a rol!:D

Believe me girl, you and I both, I'm waiting too. But no one will call them out, media ppl love to portray Michael in a negative light, and as long as the Jackson's help them, they will be called to the odd tv show to sprew their bs,

And thats my issue as well, if you are'nt gonna be clear about what it is you're trying to get across, then don't bother saying anything especially as it does'nt have anythign to do with what happened in the end.

They of all persons should know exactly how the media works! but for some strange reason they seem to be clueless!

And why don't they see that???? thats why to this day I am so baffled by Janets conduct in those two interviews, she knew full well what the headlines were gonna be the next day, but she did'nt seem to give a damn! especially as she was someone who in the past never cared and made it clear that she did'nt wanna talk about Michael prior to her interviews(well she's back to that now).

After watching the interview, I really think that some of Barbara's questions were out of line, especially the one regarding how the Jackson's feel about being left out of the will. WTF type of question is this? Is this tabloid tv?

It's not about not seeing it, I'm pretty much convinced they're fully aware of it, they just don't care, if badmouthing, degrading, and ridiculing Michael is the mean to get them on television and give them some facetime, so be it.

For real, I understand your point, but they need to get hit with questions like these. They gonna allow people to pick apart Michael with their help, then they should face some scrutiny themselves!

for real, whats the effing point of bringing it up in the first place, when it had no relevance whatsoever.

Exactly,, that's what we've all been saying for the past 18 months.. Even after MJ's death was ruled a homicide, his stupid family members were talking about painkillers, interventions and denials and painkillers had absolutely nothing to do with how he died. It made me sick to my stomach. And then even after the DA charged Murray, the family was still talking trash about 'others involved', and AEG etc etc..

Just a big mess they are.. they make me so sick. Their behavior could've influenced potential jurors and they trashed MJ and he was the one that was freakin' killed !!!!

The family knows full well what happened, Stacy. The thing is: they want to shift the blame to AEG so they can sue it and get an enormous payday. That is why they keep talking about painkillers, "others involved", drug addiction and frail and weak appearence.

What's really sad is that some of these interviewers blatantly disrespect them to their faces yet they appear on these shows and attempt to answer the questions. I could never imagine Barbara Walter's asking Marie Osmond what she could have done to save her son or John Travolta if Scientology killed his son. People respect you when you respect yourself and accept nothing less. Oprah has publicly claimed all sorts of sordid things about her past yet there was a media blackout of Kitty Kelly and her Oprah bio because the media didn't want to piss Oprah off. Kelly said many of the same things Oprah herself said yet she couldn't get mainstream access. That shows respect to who Oprah is and the power she has. The Jackson's no longer command that immediate respect and its sad given their contributions to music history. It's obvious that this show didn't respect Rebbie because they didn't bother researching her career and paid very little attention to the cause she was there to draw attention to.

I agree

I think it's a fair question as Joe went around saying the same thing and Katherine's business partner Howard Mann said similar things very recently and Katherine called the executors "greedy" very recently.

I agree. The media is not the only one to blame for how people feel about Michael in relation to this case. The Jacksons who are saying that Michael was an "addict in denial" are partly responsible for it as well because of what they are saying and it's even worse because they are not being clear on "intervention' timeframes and just tossing claims out there willy-nilly. For all their rightful talk about Murray being responsible by administration for Michael's death, they're not helping the prosecutions case at all. Some of the people sitting at home watching these shows and hearing them say these things about Michael just might end up on the jury. I wonder if the Jacksons even realize that. Like I said before, if Murray walks and the Jacksons start complaining, I personally will not want to hear it. If they wanted justice to be served, they, for their part, should have been alot more careful.

You can't help but wonder what happened to them for them to become this clueless? It's just bizarre how all of them are this out of it when it comes to who their friends are and who they should speak to in the media and them not giving the media any ammo when it comes to MJ.

What is sad to me about all these interviews the family do is that people still don't get to see who Michael really was. It's always about the same crap that was talked about or speculated before he died. Michael was so much more than this. When people hear the name Michael Jackson I don't want them to first think of drugs, interventions and plastic surgery. You would think his own family would want to focus on something better. They know what they will get asked so get them to talk about something else.

People who have met Michael one time in their life can talk about Michael and you learn so much more of him then his sister or brother talking about him. I have read so many stories in the last 18 months and it makes me cry because Michael was a very special person. These people will keep their memories of him always.

Well said, marebear. Thank you.

Maybe my memory is failing but I find that the Jackson family keeps focussing on the 'mess' (as Al Sharpton spoke of at the memorial) as opposed to the 'message'. This is why I am so discouraged.
