The song writing in the Xscape album is magical.
I wonder how long it took MJ and the other songwriters to dream up such beautiful lyrics.
For example from "Loving You":

"Hello, August moon, where are the stars of the night?"
:dance2:?

Please Post Some of Your Favorite Lyrics From the Xscape Album.

"She said she didn't have no man, raised her kids the very best she can." Chicago

I love the passion in his voice when he sings this line.

Everywhere I turn, no matter where I look
The system's in control, it's all ran by the book
~Xscape

Just think that she's alone somewhere out on the street
How will this girl survive? She ain't got nothing to eat!
~Do you Know Where Your Children Are

So I walked out, parked the car like sideways
So I can find what I can fix
~A Place With No name

That August Moon line is beautiful too Agreed

"I met her on my way to Chicago". Chicago

"Instead of going out to a restaurant, I'll stay home in bed." Loving You

"She started liking me, kissing me, and loving me. She didn't really really want me to leave." A Place With No Name

"What you gonna do you ain't no friend of mine." Blue Gangsta

Yes! This bit too from A Place With No Name is so....Idk ..It Flows . hahaha

MJ's performance is *really* strong on the album. He's just singing his butt off on songs like A Place With No Name and Blue Gangsta (even though it's my least favorite song on the album, he really gets into the vocals).

The last verse of Slave to the Rythm is tremendous also.

Overall, my favorite song lyrics-wise is A Place With No Name. Actually, that's my favorite song on the album period. :)

Oh it is hard to pick one i love them all.

Love Never Felt So Good

Baby, love never felt so good
And I'd doubt if it ever could
Not like you hold me hold me

Loving You

Hello midnight lover
You've are the one i adore
And I'll be thinking of you
Till the starsare no more

Xscape

Love all of the words in this song i love it when Michael sing low and then high. I love it when Michael does him own background so beautiful.

Well i pick three.

"She started likin' me kissin' me and huggin' me, She didn't really, really want me to leave.

She showed me places I've never seen, things I've never done. This place really looks like a lotta fun"

I just love this song, both versions

I didn't know what to do so I stopped and got out
And looked down and noticed I got a flat
~A Place With No Name

Its amazing  he really gets into it.I love this bit "Flat." How he says that sounds sexy, Pronounced and Precise and I love it in my ear

I'm a little disappointed that Blue Gangsta seems not to get a lot of love, but that's okay...However, when he says, "You make me wanna see you," (I think), right before that "nah ahhhhh ahhhh" part...Well, dewey says, "Lord Have Mercy."

And doesn't he say, "You want me? Come and get me" in the original version of Xscape? {Another Holy Mary Mercy Me from dewey.) Oh and, when he sings, "When. I. Go. This problem world won't bother me"...

I also love to love the Loving You lyrics.

but that's okay...However, when he says, "You make me wanna see you," (I think), right before that "nah ahhhhh ahhhh" part...Well, dewey says, "Lord Have Mercy."

Cool You make me wanna listen to it

Said you'd be my wife, nothing but big lies
~ Blue Gangsta

I get weak with the emotion he throws out on that line. Very intense song

Chicago
I didn't know she was already spoken for, cause im not that kind of man.

A Place With No Name
She grabbed my hand you've got a friend, Whooohoooo

These are all great choices, you guys! So many I would pick, too.

But this here, wendijane...

Just think that she's alone somewhere out on the street
How will this girl survive? She ain't got nothing to eat!

~Do you Know Where Your Children Are

I cannot get over how this man sang the word, EAT!!!

My gosh...amazing the way he made it sound...love it!!! :clapping:

He's my hero just for that one word. hahaha.

Chicago

Her words seemed so sincere, When I held her near
She would tell me how she feels, It felt so real to me
This girl she had to be, an Angel send from heaven just for me

She said she didn't have no man
Raised the kids, the very best she can
She was loving me
She told me she was all alone
Said at home she didn't have no phone
She was wanting me .......

I love the moment , when the drums comes in during the line: "You should know that I'm holding her to blame"

and the weatherman said, if you're not well stay in bed
I'd like to know which "weatherman"'s saying such things:D

'As I drove across on a highway my jeep began to ro-ck, I didn't know what to do so I stopped and got out and looked down and noticed I got a fl-at'
A Place With No Name, again like you folks have said everytime it gets to the 'Ro-ck' and 'Fl-at' bit I have to sing it like MJ lol

'It's been cloudy all night'
Loving You

'She let out a cry, and swallowed her pride, she knew she was needed back home'
Slave To The Rhythm

'And the night is gonna be just fine...'
Love Never Felt So Good

'Why is it I can't do whatever I want to'
Xscape

Mine is from Xscape
"When I Go This Problem World Won't Bother Me No More"
(I know it says in the book "Where I Did Go" but I think it's when)
Anyway I don't think it needs any explanation.

"I didn't know she was already spoken for, cause I'm not that kind of man"

"I met on my way to Chicago"

"She said she didn't have no man, raising her kids the very best she can"

Bridge from Xscape "When I go, this problem world won't bother me no more"

I just want to add, that the way he pronounces restaurant in Loving You is just everything to me. Don't know why, but it makes me swoon. Every time I hear that song I can picture him singing the whole song with a big beautiful smile.

I like these lyrics from Slave

She works so hard
Just to make her way
For a man who just don't appreciate

Wow! That line knocks me out!! He spits out this line and the word appreciate!

I also like how he sings
"She must be home Tonight!" The way he sings "Tonight" is wonderful!!!! such authority !

Oh ..I'm loving all your choices  I also love :- ( sorry if too many I just can't cut anymore off lol )

Loving you..

Hello, August moon, where are the stars of the night?

And the weatherman said if you're not well, stay in bed
'Cause I've been feeling down and blue and it's cloudy in my head
Instead of going out to some restaurant, I stay home in bed.

Hello, midnight lover, you're the one I adore
And I'll be thinking of you 'til the stars are no more
If it's cloudy or blue, I'll stay here with you
We'll make a wish, and then we'll kiss, a love forever true
Instead of going out to some restaurant, I'll stay here with you

She said THIS is the place where no ppl have pain
With l.o.v.e and hap-pi-ness....

APWNN

I love the way he delivers that line. With emphasis on "this" and the way
he drags out the word LOVE...the whole bit.

There are plenty more, as well, in this song that are awesome to me.

When he sings, "She's just a baby, she's just a baby, she's just a baby" in DYKWYCA.
