Off the Wall is still on the NZ Top 40 charts for the second week in a row, now its at #31 :)

Saw the documentary this morning. It was quite good, if I'm honest I didn't enjoy as much as BAD 25, but it made me appreciate the album even more.
Loved all the new footage. I wish they would have spoke about the songs on the album a bit more but still.
It's a truly outstanding album that deserves a lot more recognition from the general public.

Saw this today on bbcIplayer...

Phenomenal. Michael at that time was so free and relaxed and happy it's amazing. He said to Brett Ratner that this was the happiest time of his life and it shows.

The footage of him in studio54 acting so casual...the concert and interview footage...man I feel like I'm getting to know michael all over again.

This was some of the best footage of Michael I have ever seen. Way better than bad 25.

I love the part where Michael is excitedly telling the reporter about Quincy wanting to produce OTW. And Marlon is just beaming next to him.
The one person I didn't think even should have been on the doc, Lee Daniels, turned out to be one of my favorites. He described that whole studio 54 time the way I thought about it in my late teens. These are people I wanted to be like: the glamour, the sophistication.

Thank you Estate and Spike Lee for making an amazing Documentry which JUST focuses on the Music and showmanship! This was 1st class and I will be getting the package now. I truly do think you should release Triumph or Destiny tours or both on Bluray, everybody that saw that with me last night said they would buy that concert in a heart beat! Michael was on fire then!

Terry

For an album the age of off the wall it just shows this is truly Timeless!

Perfectly put.

In 35 plus years of fandom I have NEVER seen MJ like that, especially in the Studio 54 footage. Was beautiful to see (albeit, tinged with sadness, knowing the hardship that was to come).

MJ is one of those rare artist whose music is timeless, and everyone likes.

You could play any MJ song and it'll sound as if it just came out.

Most artist now only have one or two songs that are even somewhat timeless if any at all, but MJ's whole discography is timeless. :)

I just love that Misty Copeland is a fan. She is amazing.

Or the Blu-ray at Amazon for £6.

Thriller documentary would be incredible.

Imagine having motown 25 rehearsal footage, footage of Michael recording the album, unseen victory tour clips, unseen interviews...would be my dream.

Mos def gonna be some great footage of WBSS, HN, Beat It, and Billie Jean from Victory tour in there.
