Mavis Staples is not a guy. She's in the middle with the brownish afro. The 3 ladies are sisters and the man is their father Pops Staples.

words like 'chomon' are one of several words that are pronounces "wrong" to create a specific effect in a vocal.. Vocalist are taught to in some instinces to stay away from shar "K" "F" "M" "T" sounds while recording for the way the sound is picked up on recordings.. It's a very sharp sound that could distract the listeners ears from a smooth vocal while the intention is transitioning one to another...

Alot of times singers pronounce words like "tell me" like "thell me" (just an example) .. Take a listen to I'll be there, recording and live.. Live actually might be better because you can see his mouth.. Michael does not say "..Find someone new" He actually say "Find sowone new" He does not actually make the M sound specifically so that word would not have two sharp syllobols but each would flow to the next smoothly..

It's a vocal trick singers do.. Chomon is no exception..

TBH I wouldn't care much for those. Munich 1997 in almost HD plus various aired concerts and MSG is also aired in HD. Nah.

The reason i don't care for (or rather any sort of excitement) about Dangerous or History tours is because there are SEVERAL full complete pro shot performances out there, especially HIStory.

So I'm kinda meh about those.
But of course, at some point a HIStory DVD should come out. I reckon whenever the 20th aniversary of the album, they will do so.
So thats like 2014-2015.

Did anyone realize that when singing live he prefers 'come on' to 'shamone'.

I've noticed that he doesn't actually say 'shamone'...It's more like 'ch'mon'....but not actually pronouncing the 'n' all the time...

Geez, we've seen so little of DWT! Just one full show and several songs from different shows and some snippets.
IMO DWT is better than HWT. Playback is in balance. MJ still has that explosive energy. He does BJ and Beat It live. BJ is best of all tours IMO. It has MITM as encore. Live vocals are still great. Meh about DWT? No way for me at least.

Meh for the DWT? WHAT?! Full energy Michael, at his best period. (1st leg anyway) We haven't seen anything of the DWT in comparison to HWT.

Oh, i guess there's less than I thought for DWT.
In any case, BAD tour was his most energetic IMO.

Putting aside the playback thing, I didn't like his main outfit for the tour! haha
The outfit would have looked badass if the crotch part was worn under the pants (like the Bad tour outfit).

Same here. I already disliked his outfit back then, and I still do although I can go beyond it now. Never understood why MJ liked it..

Because he was also a great business man. He knew that the outfit would create buzz around the 'dangerous' tour and it's album. When people talk about you, you'll get more exposure.

I admire him for that. It was an unique thing to do. That's what made him as an Allround artist. There are not many showbizz people like him.

He was an outstanding, intelligent person who knew the industry inside out.
 
The DWT outfit is actually inspired on a fencing suit. He actually made a photshoot with that kind of sword.

I didnt know that until some time ago, and knowing it makes it have a lot more sense.

Looking like an absurd super hero soldier guy is not good "buzz" for a tour.
It was simply an over the top outfit like all his other outfits before that one (though, thats attributed to the times. Shiny, gleamy, leather, etc.)

I'm fine with the outfit, it's just the crotch thing. You'll notice that they don't even do that in movie versions of comic book characters :D

LOL give the man a break, he was over the top and extravagant. I wouldn't expect less, and even though it's not my fave outfit I wouldn't expect less from Michael, and you've got to admit there's some serious fans of that outfit, so yeah. I guess it worked somehow.

Hey I am one of them. I love that dangerous outfit, especially the part between the leg. To each his own I saw. Now back to Bad 25......

I'm getting desperate to see this documentary now. It's been ages since we last got a clip or an update about the content. Surely with the film being premiered later this month we'll get some new information (or maybe a new clip) soon. Fingers crossed.
I'd like to find out when and how we can see this. Is it really going to be in cinemas worldwide (like Spike tweeted) or is it going to be TV only (like MkGenie's Sony source said)?
Either way I would expect it to be shown in September around the time the album drops. There'd probably be little point in releasing it in November for example.

So I'm optimistically hoping to see it in about 6 weeks. :)
