He didn’t co-write, but did co-produce. You’re correct, he didn’t like the song.

He worked on Money; you can hear him on the verse spoken word vocals with Michael (“They don’t care, they’d do it for the money” etc.)

No I'm just saying, in the past it's been difficult to really get proper information about Bryan and his work with Michael. Nowadays we have a better idea of what he's done (thanks for the info you've shared in this thread btw, very interesting to get a proper perspective on those things), but I was talking more about in the past how the information on him has been wrong is all.

You’re right that plenty of songs have been wrongly attributed to Bryan in the past. Deep in the Night and If You Don’t Love Me for example. MJvibe even attributed Do You Know Where Your Children Are to him in their article today before I told them to change it

Even Homeless Bound, as it turns out, was not a Loren track but a Brad Buxer one.

Brad Sundberg said so in a clip from a recent ITSWMJ seminar... Plus, the music we heard from the leak so far definitely has Buxer's signature all over.

It sounds very "muddy" production wise to me. I think it would sound way better if it had that Remember The Time / BODFT beat behind it and polished a bit. I was always very hot and cold with the song as I always much preferred She Got It.

Ah, so Bottrell is behind the mixes on the cancelled disk and they were not later mixes!? That's new to me. Wasn't aware of that at all.

There's so much info that can fall between the cracks for someone with only 7 bloody adult studio albums!

Oh God, no. He was never involved with those lesks.

He just stated those leaked mixes were not advanced early day mixes; he's made mixes for MB & ES by mid 1991 that were more progressed than what has leaked.

Fair enough. I made a thread a couple of months ago about Loren getting too litle contribution for his work and I wasn't sure if your 'Bryan Loren's Only Fan' title was meant sarcastic or genuine (lol)

What do you think about Bryan's track 'Ain't That What 'Chu Want?' (00:47), it seems he took a melody from Streetwalker, any idea if he ever worked on that one?

It's both. Bryan has always been a meme because of his poor attitude toward some fans, which is why I was always surprised he was nice to me sometimes lol... I even offered to make him fanclub jackets at one point. To be honest, sometimes I felt bad for him; he was clearly a shy and hurt guy. He told me it's because he's "an artist, and artists are sensitive".

I tried to convince him to give Music From the New World a proper release, but too many bad memories I guess (did you know Bryan used to rant about Dangerous being a dark period in his life on his Myspace?). The track you mention overall is just fine, I'm not too big on it. The album is honestly one of my favorites ever, and I don't really like male singers. Leave A Light On, Gotta Be Love, Make You Mine, and Troublin' Up Paradise are so good. Streetwalker was done entirely by Bill, but Michael hated the harmonica on it (he called it ignorant in a bad way according to Bill). If Bryan lifted a melody from it, well he never talked about it. Listening to it again, I can hear the similarity. Wouldn't it be funny if he did that to get back at Bill? I won't accuse him of anything though.

Was looking for Bryan in the creds for money and apparently Rodger Bumpass (the voice of Squidward) is on the album??? WHAT 😭😭😭
He’s credited for backing vocals on TDCAU and SIM WTF

Never hated Michael more than I do now.
He really had some shitty ass takes sometimes, not even gonna lie.

I love Music From the New World too, it's unfortunate how there's literally no lossless version of this album on the internet...

So sad to hear about Bryan’s passing. I know his reputation around here is less than positive and most of his songs get a lukewarm reception, but what a talent he was. Even if his songs for MJ weren’t seen as high contenders, I think they would’ve been smashes for other acts.

Both Michael Prince and Brad Bauxer are getting old as well... Bruce Swedien didnt get too much chances either as far as I know

Estate don't really have an interest in working with most of MJ's collaborators, just want whatever they have and for them to go away.
