I was attacked by one as a kid, an American Pit Bull. Ripped the crap out of legs, had to have skin grafts and plastic surgery to fix the gashes it made.
 
damn man, dogs are nasty one attacked a friend of mines once, he had some facial injuries but he came out okay at the end... cats are much much much cooler :yes:

we had a cat when i was a kid.. he was lazy during the day & want only to sleep... :)
and began to play at night like a crazy lol ( he liked to jump from the bookcase on someone's shoulders )
my grandparents had a dogs & it was the best time when i spent the summers with them.. played in the garden, walked to the river & lake together.. and it was very safe.
they always waited till i wake up in the morning & yelled from joy when saw me..
i fed them, washed, they always listened to me & when looked into my eyes i felt like they read my mind.. it was really amazing experience. they were faithful like a real friends..

sound weird, but i still missing a lil dog of my ex GF. ( looked like those which Elizabeth Taylor likes )
he was cute. but at first times he liked to bite my fingers when he was not in mood ( he did it more than ten times )
after some time when we knew each other more close, we learned about each other a lot & became good friends.. i liked fed him, to play with his hair/wool while he is sleeping... or sang with him ( he did really funny noises lol )
