At the start of the biopic when little Mike locks himself in the bathroom after Joseph hits him, he slides down the wall and curls himself up, it reminded me of this photo Michael drew. It featured in the booklet of HIStory album.

They could do like what Michael did with the panther scene in Black Or White: build the movie in a way that if a judge rules that they have to stop selling movie, they can just easily remove the problematic scenes and still re-release the rest of the movie. But by then, everybody will already have watched or bought the original cut if they make sure to release it to streaming and blu-ray as soon as its theatrical run is over. And the original cut will forever exist on the Internet. The fact that Evan Chandler very obviously went around the settlement terms by using his brother to write a book might weigh against the Chandlers if they decide to sue. Afterall, it seems very unfair that the Chandler managed to tell their side of the story while Michael couldn't.

Just wanted to add that technically Graham King could use MJ's music even without getting the Estate and Michael's kids involved in part 2. I mean the only reason why movies normally need to have the authorization to use the music is so that they do not get sued. But if they know the Estate is not gonna sue them, then they don't need to get their official permission, do they? If the Estate doesn't sign any contract, doesn't participate in the making of the movie and doesn't get paid for the music, it's not like the Chandlers could sue the Estate just for not suing Lionsgate for the unauthorized use of Michael's music, could they? It's certainly a nice loophole that the settlement agreement doesn't say that the Estate has the obligation to sue people for using unauthorized music, isn't it? They could cover the Bad era, the Dangerous era and the 1993 allegations in part 2, and then let the Estate get involved again for part 3, covering the History era, Invincible era, 2005 trial and Michael's death. Just let Jaafar be in charge of approving the script for part 2 and making sure that the movie is accurate and respectful of Michael.

Disgusting. They are beyond pathetic. Well I'm glad they are showing their asses actually. It proves what many of us have been saying about the media when it comes to MJ. It's not us being fanatical and not being able to accept any criticism of MJ like some think.

Those losers at Rolling Stone have truly hit a new low.

Thankfully, MJ's legacy continues to thrive! #1 movie worldwide. 5 million new listeners on Spotify. MJ can't stop winning!

How on earth could anyone know that? Why are you getting worked up?

I could post on Facebook that Part 2 covers the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and the rise and fall of the Tamagotchi - that doesn't mean it's going to happen?

Not to mention that at this moment in time, THERE IS NO PART 2 conceived, written let alone completed.

I'm sure they have an idea of what years they want to cover. Also the already filmed material helps.

Fuqua said in a recent interview that the original film ended a couple of years after the allegations. Theres also photos from the set of different phases of mjs life and the last two are from around that time. Theres also leaked video footage of jaafar filming a concert scene and in the audience someone is holding a history album cover. So if and a big if part two takes the same timeline then yes it may end with the histry comeback.

I would think a large part already is, as fuqua says theres a third of footage already filmed that could be used for part two. Ie footage that was originally shot for part one. So there will be a basic script based on the dact part two should have been in part one if that makes sense before all the changes

That's fair enough - right now. "Michael" was supposed to end post '93, and it ended '88. What I'm saying is there is absolutely no reason to believe a Facebook post that says Part 2 will end in 95 when Michael has only been out 5 minutes. Screenplays go through lots of reworks. At the moment they have X amount of footage, but they are not pigeon holed into any time frame.

at the end of the movie it said His story continues..so there must be a part 2

THe media are pissed. I just wish i was in america cuz everyone in the cinema goes ape shit and dances where as our crowd in australia just sit down and watch the movie

I would also like to see the trial included but I also think it needs to look wider than just the trial. I would like to see scenes inside the offices of media corporations to illustrate how they would create and manipulate stories, how they would pay people who didn't witness anything to make up lies etc.
