The Resurrection of Michael Jackson - Music Monthly

Now that pic on the magazine don't look like that^

His chin is way to long and he looks very pale. anyway we will see in few days.

Well I mean there are some fotos taken that night that were unflattering because they unleashed an onslaught of FLASH on the man...and that's why he looks extra extra pale sometimes. Like here:

i think that's a fabulous pic...even if the photogs KNEW what they were doing when they unleashed the massive collective flash. if we are to look at a standard of comparison..as to what we think is normal...we'll call this 'pale'. if we look at MJ as the standard..perhaps we call ourselves..'flushed'.

it all depends on how you look at it. i think of MJ's look as original..unique...the MJ look. period. and it's beautiful. and i see it as a new standard of not making comparisons. or..no point of reference...or no standard of comparison. since there are other people with vitiligo....and that newscaster called his...a blessing....and God created MJ too..

i figure....i can just say MJ looks good..and leave it at that.

I gotcha. I think MJ looks good by any standard....:p But yeah I think now they definitely did some work on that cover foto.

That IS the picture they used. Forget about the arm extension. That would have been edited in.

But that right there is the pic they used.

Very poor fotoshoping job lol. They cut off part of his elbow and stuck a HUGE random hand on it. And they DID make his face longer and they DID make his lips redder (like usual) And the cut out the massive heap of volume that is his hair  (I love the hair Mike, he's just got the urge to Herbal LOL)

lol...u thought different before...

they say eyes can deceive...lol...sight is...temporal..lol:D

No i said he had some unflattering pictures...like anyone. But in general, now and in the past I think he's good looking.

lol..well..i'll never get a degree in studying faces that intricately..i've never done that:lol:

Since there is much of debate on colours, I have to clear out some points (my university specialization was synthesis of audio and video):
1) Michael Jackson is naturally "very very pale" since black people have thick skin and it technically can not be blushful unlike white people's (when they are ashamed, for example). Blush hue should be applied on Jackson by make-up to avoid that effect. However, that blush is very subtle and there is no way it looks as red as on the most of photos. So few photos that J5Master found and published here are actually the closest to natural colour saturation, what is very correct and rare. Usually there is autoadjust saturation in the works in photo camera and/or post-processing, which makes shadows on the face look like red and lips as if Jackson wears "red lipstick", which was never actually registed in reality (the colour of lips is just pink);

2) there is not necessary anything wrong with the chin.

Yeah, I am glad you see it. I am so used to depict these things, becuase as a photographer I work with photoshop almost everyday, even distort ( with good intentions ) facial features ( for example form a big nose I can make it smaller with photoshop ). But also you can make red lips and yelow teeth, and herpes around mouth, way too easelly.:lol:

not sure why people are debating about the pic on the cover when it's more then cool that he is on the cover of a magazine AGAIN:D

the THRILLER returns and that's what is important.

I think Mike takes so much time between new projects that it is always considered a comeback or resurrection. Even though it is maddening that he takes so much time it is probably his anal retentiveness that makes him great.

Will i. Am stated it was becuase he is also the
King of fine tune .. :D when asked why Michael
just does'nt release it ..

If they view every album as a comeback, then that's even better for MJ. MJ builds excitement for EVERY ALBUM he releases, every album he releases is a big deal.

The king of fine tune! That's funny. But true.

So how long will it be before someone posts the article?

I was thinking the same thing. Is there any chance that there will be a early release of this Music Magazine?

In America, our newspaper inserts usually come in BEFORE the actual newspaper does, most stores that carry newspapers already have all of the "inserts" for this Sunday's paper. I was wondering if the samething happens in the U.K.

the photograph resembles mike from the wma 2006, He's clearly wearing his top which he threw to th crowd causing a riot., Or maybe he has 2????

could be...good observation.

Do you think this is part of Sony's promotional campaign? (if it does infact shed light on new album details that we're previously unaware of).

I.e. do you think Sony and the Observer are working together on this article, moreover, could the article have been initiated by Michael's record label? What are your thoughts..

i think it would be more of the "unofficial" type article. like where they use quotes they have gathered and so on, compile them all, add their own bits, but have nothing from the man himself or any lable. Michael is a great way to sell magazines so why wouldnt they try it?:)

cant wait to see scans! hopefully someone is quicker than the month it took to see akon talkin about Hold My Hand
