The ‘YAY I JUST HEARD MICHAEL ON THE RADIO’ Thread

If people could post their rough location (if they feel safe to do so) and the radio station along with the song, I would find it really interesting.
 
I was listening to this gospel radio program earlier this morning and a guy called in to the station. I didn't catch the beginning of what he was saying, but he mentioned to the host of the show that he used to see the Jackson 5 perform before they became famous. He said they used to play at a convention in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I'm not sure why this was brought up on a gospel music program, but I didn't hear the entire call, so I guess the reason was there. This show plays more traditional gospel and not really the more contemporary Kirk Franklin/Mary Mary hip hop influenced style. So I guess the average listener is older.

I haven’t personally heard it, but it seems like Smooth Radio has finally unbanned MJ:

That&#8217;s referring to their regular programming. They did play MJ during their Top 500, but in that situation they really had no other choice. :D

I was shopping at Valu-Mart earlier today and “Man In The Mirror” played and right in the middle of it, it just stopped.

This is suprising as Last year the Absolute group weren't playing any MJ songs across their stations if I recall. Does anyone know if they lifted their "ban" ?
 
The past week I heard some "rare" tracks on the radio

"Who is it" was played on the nations 4th biggest radio station (JOE fm) as well as the remix single version of "HIStory", "will you be there" and "BOTDF" were both played on the biggest station (radio 2)
 
I just checked the schedule for smooth radio, and they played both 'can you feel it' by the jacksons, and 'rock with you' today :) I should start listening to the station to catch them..
 
Yesterday I was at Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, and they had DSTYGE playing in one of the gift shops! Very unexpected and surprising.
 
If you still listen to the radio.... cuz many people do not because streaming is so popular.... But IF you hear Michael Jackson being played on the radio, please do a shout out to them -- !!
 
I just heared Drake - Don't Matter To Me ft. Michael Jackson. What do you think of the newer songs where they sample in MJ? I am very happy in one way, but if I don't like the other artist or the song it's a just a bit sad.

Since I've been checking this which is a month or two this is the first time I hear the radio play an MJ album track "get on the floor". Other nice surprises include "ease on down the road", "Liberian girl" , "torture", "the girl is mine", "you rock my world" and "enjoy yourself". All the others have been quite regularly played so far.

I'm okay with it that's only their a fan of him and would fit with their song. i don't like drake what he did to michael last year. until he says sorry he still on the list of people who down MJ.

A valuable and interesting post! I only listen to one radio station in my car, when I'm driving and it plays MJ at least once or twice every day. I have heard IJCSLY, Billie Jean, DSTYGE, Earth Song, TWYMMF, Jam, Black or White and WYBT fairly regularly.
 
Hey ! Not posted on here for a while!
In the UK the station that should of been playing his music WAS not! That station was Smooth FM. However after Michael achieving yet again in another poll number one ICON! This has definitely changed and it's great to hear him being played alongside say George Michael etc.
It just goes to show them liars did not succeed!

Michael carry's on going strength to strength. Now we need a new release to remind the world he is still around in spirit and forever influencing pop rock and soul even today!

I'm hearing Michael being being played more and more on all different kinds of radio stations everyday. So much for the plan to ban his music from the radio after that turd of a ''documentary'' came out.
 
I randomly heard "people make the world go round" a couple of days ago. Even weirder was an a cappella version of "rockin' robin".
 
Not radio, but I'm currently watching Paris Masters (Tennis tournament) and during the changeover sitdown, Streetwalker was playing.
