Thriller 25 proving that MJ still has very good Sales Potential

Right, and I'm on the opposing side of MJ selling extremely well. I'm a "negative person" because I made a suggestion that probably crossed the minds of many free thinking people who aren't disoriented by one extreme or another.[/sarcasm]

Anyway, no need to respond further. I'm gathering you are too far gone for me to work simple reason on ya. Ta.

And anybody objecting to the bickering can trace it back to that post where everyone who asked if possibly the shipments weren't large enough because the sales exceeded expectations was referred to as trolls and somehow negative people. Obviously the sales DID exceed expectations, so what the hell is the big deal with asking if this translates into the number of CDs released? Whatever.
meowwwww:mello:

It's a good thing I said I wouldn't be responding to vnc anymore, because otherwise I would have a hard time coming up with a rebuttal for what is honestly probably one of the more intelligent things he has typed.

ok...ima stop with u..cus u have gone personal. that says a lot. so..carry on..we'll see who has the maturity to stop this rediculousness, and not have a need for the last word. and it's not lost on me that someone in charge gave an assist. i know it's not against the rules for me to be self effacing. but saying that the text is sent to the comedian is an assist in calling me paranoid. and i know personal attacks are against the rules. thanks(sarcasm) i may get heated on the topic, but i do my best not to attack people personally.

EVERYBODY JUST STOP TRIPPIN

Seriously, what the hell?

Anyways I think what vnc was getting at was that it seems like a negative cause and effect. MJ seems to be selling exceedingly well BECAUSE and ONLY because of the number of shipments. It sounds like an undermining statement towards MJs success.

But no need to be getting personal with people wow.

Never said that, and pretty specifically said the opposite, almost because I saw overprotective responses filled with extreme levels of douchebaggery coming. What's more annoying is when people will immediately construe it as that because they're just so used to having something to complain about and "defend" MJ over. What's also annoying is being painted as some sort of kill joy cynic just for having the audacity to ask a pretty reasonable question.

Never said thats what you said, im saying thats what people may think it SEEMS like.

Calmmmmm...callllllllmmmmm.....eeasssy now lol I think people are generally frustrated with the negativity and i dont think its personal.

I am calm. In fact I'm pretty calmly typing my candid thoughts on uber protective finicky MJ fans who construe "did the shipments not meet the demand?" as negative towards MJ. Sort of like Mikejoefan's did while going on an uber protective finicky MJ fan soapbox about nothing. Nothing but the amusing desire to be MJ's knight in shining armor against the big bad naysayers. ... even if they're fans who are happy it's doing so well. The fact that sales exceeded expectations should be enough for everybody to be happy, but no, asking if they didn't release a large enough number in comparison to how many people bought it/wanted it is pessimistic and not sunshiny enough. Go figure.

omg!

Neeevermind. I'm done being peace maker lol

Of course it did. More folks than not are closet Michael Jackson fans.

It's funny you say that. Chichi was just saying something like that too. And I can agree that there are closet fans. But I never got that because I would think that if you "hate" someone, you wouldn't get out of your way to buy dude's album. Just shows you the hypocritical nature people have. You don't like the man but you still bought the man's album. IMO, they're not helping their own matters by buying the album almost making it #1 (even if it doesn't get there).

It's funny that some old-ass album is attracting arguments.

All anyone around here does anymore is argue. It's like every time you saying anything about anything, someone comes along and tears in to you like you just called Jesus a jackass. Man... or they find some tiny little point in your post which you weren't even thinking about when you wrote, just some off supporting point, and they spaze like their having a seizure!

no man...you're never calm...you're just exceedingly overflowing with personal attacks. and trying to convince yourself you are calm.

Yeah it's like in every thread I've been into, I just got through explaining why Aretha isn't the be-all, end-all of music and saw Dat trying to throw down with you. I'm like "wow..." LOL

you may be right..and there are no exclusions. everybody is guilty.

Peoples, for a second try and not see the negative. If you think about it logically, you will see that Grand is simply stating a fact. Regardless of how many discs Sony originally shipped, be it a high number or a lower number ... either way, the supply that is out there seems to be less than enough, in relation to the demand that is being placed on retailers.

Whichever way you look at it, the discs are moving faster than SONY projected. Even if they expected massive sales, they underestimated the products demand.

Try and play nicer with one another.

Man, seriously, why don't y'all take that ish to PMs?

Is this the twilight zone? What year is this? I think I've been here before.

It's the way it goes. MJ's music is such that it's pretty damn hard for the general public not to get into it. So they'll manage to get around praising him, and say stuff like, "he was good when he was 'black'", or they'll say "I don't like him but this one song is good." Of course, that "one song" could be Billie Jean, Beat It, Thriller, BAD, Smooth Criminal, Way You Make Me Feel, Don't Stop Til' You Get Enough, Black Or White...

At the end, most people know it, but a lot of them are afraid to say it: he's a great artist.

But when it comes down to the brass taxes, they'll eat his **** up. Case in point, Thriller 25.

Oh, another popular one is, "I don't like him as a person but I like his music."

Well, I guess MJ doesn't like you but he likes your money ;).

apparently there is no middle ground with Michael Jackson. no one is indifferent. and it's been a long ride in silence...watching the barbs..knowing the music is good..knowing people are buying it..knowing that people are throwing darts at MJ while many sit back and watch and take it. then...after awhile....it all explodes...and it's like the follow up to a disease. the body develops more anitbodies to fight the next attempt much harder.

it seems natural. and it seems to be that way with what is going on in this thread.

No.

Btw I thought you were done exchanging with me. You were supposed to be the bigger man and stuff :(.

no...i said we will see who is the bigger man. i didn't say i was. but i refused to personally attack you. you didn't afford me the same...

i just wrote a post saying that there is no indifference in this thread. that there will be no middle ground. and that it's easy to be hunching one's shoulders when defending MJ...it's been a long time coming. i said that everybody is guilty of taking things too personally. that includes you and me. i'd like to continue debates with you. the challenge is...can you stay heated..and not get personal? i don't expect you to be dull. and i'm not dull about this either. but i haven't attacked you personally.

I don't think Michael gives a doggone if anyone is with him or not on a message board, just buy his new album.

Now ain't that some b.s.? Least be HONEST! You hate him so much yet you buy one of his albums and on top of that have an excuse for it.

GET OUT OF HERE! You know once the promo for T25 dies, they'll be back to talking about his face and his money.

Yeah, that got serious for a minute. I think it still is cause she hasn't seen my apology post, lol. I get heavy sometimes, but I try not to insult anybody, lol. If I think you're insulting me though I get pissy, its just the way I am.

But shoot, can't we just stop fighting? I don't see the negative in this "Thriller 25" thing at all but if someone else does, okay. As long as we can stay respectful and not take on a belittling tone with eachother. I'm sick of all this sh*t.

Yep. I'm sick of all the people complaining about people not buying "Thriller" and I'm as sick of people buying "Thriller" yet talking smack about people who didn't "buy it" and then both sides going on and on and on and on...

I mean seriously is Michael Jackson the only artist that makes people act sadiddy up in here!?!

I know! It's crazy. No one says you have to buy anything, it's not like anyones got a gun to our heads. If you want it, cool, if you don't, cool. It's a re-issue, it's not Michael's step back in to the spotlight. I bought it cause it had "For All Time" remastered and it sounds beautiful. The remixes suck donkey balls, by the way, lol. The only part I liked on any of them was the 10 second clip of Michael's new vocals on the remix of "WBSS", lol. And I bought the Japanese version too because "Got The Hots", from the 40 second clip, is straight up fire! So, there you have it. Oh, and cause of the pretty book it comes with, lol! Michael's rich as hell anyway, he doesn't need us to buy his records. Like I said, it's a test project to gage public reaction I think.

Pretty much. I wanna order the JAPAN version but I don't have money like that and also I get squeamish when I think about buying online.
