I agree. Prince was pretty good last year but Michael rocked the hell out of that performance in 1993. Mike should have been number one and Prince should have been number 2 or 3. Prince being number one and MJ being number 4 is like saying that Prince is an better performer than MJ and that is total BS! I am a big Prince fan but I do not get down with people that threaten to sue their fans because they like to use their likeness on websites and stuff. Just saying.

Also, with MJ's performance, you could not take your eyes off of him. In Prince's performance, I remember taking my eyes off for a while because I think I was distracted. LOL. But overall, the list is total crap. MJ is still one of the most respected people in the music business. That is a fact. The haters can't change that.

ANY poll will be filled of PERSONAL thoughts on MICHAEL.. ASIDE from the music.. I hate it, but it's hard for some people to think of Michael the entertainer away from Michael and the image drawn up by the media.. It ulters peoples opinion..

Thank you and that is why I think he was number 4. It was based on someone's hatred towards the man. No one asked for that person's opinions. Just state the deal and move on. To put Prince over MJ is crazy! MJ is the reason why Superbowl performances are the way they are. No one is going to remember Tom Petty's performance, but everyone still remembers Michael's.
 
Well I disagree with the implication taht Prince can't be a showman or put out emotion like MJ can...Prince just does it in a different way. both prince and mike are THE BEST showmen in their own right and can perform the HELL out of a stage. Prince's show was amazing. And just like MJ's lip singing, I didn't CARE if prince sang covers of other people's songs because he was JUST THAT GOOD. So both of them are legends and great IMO. I just prefer Michael performance over Prince because...well I like Michael more over all than prince :lol: And nothing can top the impersonator bing-bang- BOOM! on the stadium lights and the massive audience participation with the "children holding hands"...that was just beautiful. But then again Prince playing guitar in the RAIN, while singing PURPLE RAIN...was beautiful too. LOL But now that I think about it, I might not as been as effective aesthetically if it hadn't rained during prince's performance lol

I dunno what my point is here BUT...LOL...PRINCE AND MIKE ARE AWESOME! LOL

I didn't mean Prince doesn't emote. I just don't think he emotes on the level that Michael does. He seems more like a stellar professional to me then someone who creates atmosphere or takes you away or expresses accurtaely emotion through his voice and body.

Prince was good.. but Michael's performance was historic!...its been over 14 years and any Superbowl loving person in the public remembers MJ's performance.. ask them about anyone elses....and most don't remember...

also Prince just performed last year.. so its fresh in the media's mind....Prince had a great performance.. but imagine if it didn't rain when he sang "purple rain"..ummm??
