Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

I wasn't planning on watching, but I did last night and I'm glad I did. Apart from Oprah getting on my nerves with her usual bad habit of cutting people off when they speak and her smirking when Katherine was speaking of MJ's death and sad situations, I enjoyed the interview. Katherine came across as very honest and genuine to me. She didn't try to paint Michael as this perfect person because he wasn't, but what did come across above all was her love and support for her son. I felt so bad when she said that June 25th was "the worst day of her life" or when she teared up when speaking of MJ. When she spoke about how she thought Paris would pass out from crying when they went to the Hospital the day MJ passed, my heart just broke. So sad. But overall I thought Katherine handled herself very well. Such a graceful, sweet woman. Love Mrs. Jackson.

No comment on Joe lol. He was his usual self as always. Joe is always gonna be Joe no matter what and I've just accepted that.

The segment with the kids was well done and respectful. I didn't think it was a good idea to have them on the show, but they came across well. I did notice that Prince had a bit of an attitude with Oprah though, seemed like he didn't want to bet here to me. Blanket was very cute and shy. Paris was great. She spoke so well. What a beautiful and intelligent girl. Michael would be proud of all three of them.

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

Just watched the interviews.

Look, I respect his mother because she was the most important woman in his life, but those surgery & vitiligo comments are really damaging.

If she didn't know exactly went on she shouldn't comment IMO

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

I liked the interview , it was good. Katherine explained a few things, and maybe...just maybe some people will finally start to think different.

What i DID notice was the the kids really didn't seem all that interested in being there, Prince so obviously was there like 'damn....do i have to?' not to mention 'Blanket' he really didn't seem to care. I can't blame them though.

What about vitiligo was damaging? I agree that the question wasn't nessecary...

We got to strap our boots on and fight for Michael. TINI campaign l would like to thank them for a missioned accomplished. The were the ones who were in touch with the Jackson members. Look at the result.

I had a conversation with a journalist, apparently some journalists are gonna go after and demand answers to some Jackson members what is it they know about the previous allegations since they never mentioned about the drugs when Michael was alive:(

What you WE have just witnessed could be the end of a particularly terrifying nightmare.
It isn’t. It’s the beginning.

When she suggested that MJ had some kind of operations to get rid of the pigmentation. It was obvious she didn't understand it

Nope, she never said that. She said that she "did not know" how he got his skin the consistency he got it to on certain parts of his body.

Must have missed this part then i guess, so Oprah asked that and Katherine didn't know what to say to that? To me it has always been pretty clear that the vitiligo started, and at first it wasn't too bad and could be helped, but eventually it spreaded over his whole body and there wasn't anything to do about it.

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

They spoke about this interview on This Morning (huge UK TV show).

I am SO SHOCKED about what was said. I've never seen this being said on TV in the UK..

A guy called Kelvin MacKenzie was completely disgusting about Michael.

He called him a child abuser, questioned how and WHY his children were born ('why?' can you see what he's hinting :puke: ), and said they are safer & better off now he's dead.

The host of the show Phillip tried to handle the situation, whilst the other host Holly looked quite angry with what Kelvin said.

This is a PARTIAL TRANSCRIPT of what was said:

Please fight back. Read this blog and follow the instructions -

http://charlesthomsonjournalist.blogspot.com/2010/11/kelvin-mckenzie-jackson-was-abuser-and.html

The Twitter for:

This Morning is www.twitter.com/itvthismorning
Phillip Schofield www.twitter.com/Schofe
Holly www.twitter.com/HollyWills

Remember Phillip and Holly didn't say anything bad, and they actually like Michael.

OMG, that is horrible :( I can't imagine how anyone can be so cruel to say these children are better off without their father, esp. when they have just stated how much they love and miss him. But what more can you expect from a former editor of The Sun :puke: What the hell was he doing there anyway? Fortunately, I'd have to agree with Ingelief that the media in my country have been very respectful in reporting about this interview (from what I have read). I just checked the website of the biggest newspaper in The Netherlands and this is what they wrote (translated of course):

Paris Jackson: "Daddy was a great cook"

AMSTERDAM - Oprah Winfrey did not just have a candid conversation with Michael Jackson's parents, his children also spoke with her.

In the show, that will be broadcast in America today, Paris (12) speaks with a lot of love about her deceased father. "I don't think anyone understands what a great father he was. I think he was the best cook ever. He made the most delicious French toast. He was a very normal father, except he was the best father in the world."

The children used to go out only while wearing veils or masks. According to Michael's mother Katherine this was the idea of their biological mother Debbie Rowe. "We didn't mind", Paris explained. "He did it so that we could just walk the streets if he wasn't there. He didn't want us to know who exactly he was. But he didn't quite succeed..."

---

I'd say this is pretty close to the truth :)

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

MJ admitted it himself after the first allegations, and who knows later on again. WHY is this for some fans hard to believe? Cause it sure ain't for me, especially WHY would his own mother lie about that? No,sorry.

It IS very very understandable that someone gets addicted to meds when being in situations like he has been, he has been through several nightmares, only those weren't dreams but real life nightmares. It certainly won't ever change my opinion if the good man has used meds in his life. You absolutely can't even judge on that.

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

I only wish that the fans would see the people surrounding Michael in his life as "Pushers". With that i mean that i believe Michael might not have known he was on the drugs. I know some of you will call me insane for this comment but i think Michael was being drugged. I think he was getting these things from the food he ate and was prepared by others.

On another note. We all have our opinions of things that was said yesterday. Kathrine is his mother yet i do not think that Michael spent as much time with his family in later years as he might have done in the past.

Today is a flood of emotions and misunderstanding of what was said and what wasn't. But i think in the end my love for Michael has not wavered one inch. What the Jackson family says about Michael to me is only their opinion of what was going on. What his kids say about their father speaks volumes.

WHES, we do not claim to know more about michael then his family. We know the man we saw and we hear from his lips what has happened and what has not. We trust Michael.

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

It's unbelievable that some people think they know more about Michael Jackson than his own mother, the person Michael Jackson himself constantly said he was the closest to in his life.

But why did his mother first say that she didn't think he was addicted, but now all of the sudden she changed her mind and says Michael was just in denial. Sorry, but I believe Michael and the autopsy report over any of his family members, esp. when their stories are not consistent. And this isn't even a big deal for me, I personally do not care if he was addicted or not. I wholeheartedly agree with Stafforshiere Bullterrier that Michael had good reasons to take pain medication and I wrote something similar before, it wouldn't change my perception of Michael one bit if it turned out he was indeed addicted. But for me it's just about getting the truth out, and while I do believe Michael was addicted to pain medication in certain periods of his life (like 1993), I have very strong doubts about him being addicted for nearly 30 years. You can choose to believe that, but I don't.

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

Physical evidence and official documents seems to contradict statements by Michael's family regarding drug addiction. Furthermore, the family seem to be contracting not only each other, but themselves when they speak of drug addiction. That's why people are calling it false. They can't keep their stories straight and the evidence doesn't support the statements.

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

Nope, she never said that. She said that she "did not know" how he got his skin the consistency he got it to on certain parts of his body.

She never said that, that's why I said "suggested". To me it came off that she allured to it since the the question was tied in the plastic surgery

Must have missed this part then i guess, so Oprah asked that and Katherine didn't know what to say to that? To me it has always been pretty clear that the vitiligo started, and at first it wasn't too bad and could be helped, but eventually it spreaded over his whole body and there wasn't anything to do about it.

It was in the first part, did you watch? She didn't say it, but it sounded like she may have thought he had surgery to have the pigmentation removed, thought she said she didn't know how it happened.

To me it just gives more fuel for the haters

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

Blanket is only 8 years old people need to leave the kid alone for real.

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

Well the autopsy detected Vitiligo, so I don't know how the haters could continue to deny it. It's official and conclusive. Michael Jackson HAD vitiligo.

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

Also, what about that health check that was done before Michael agreed to do those 50 shows, that came out good right? Do you really think AEG (or whoever it was that insured him, I haven't looked too deep into these things) would have insured those 50 shows if Michael was as sick, frail and addicted as some people say he was?

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

katherine and the kids watched the episode of oprah, says tmz so that questions is answered if the kids will see what there mother said about michael.. now whe have to wait and see of not only katherine but the kids are happy too with oprah..

agree 100% !

Do u understand now why Murray thought it was very easy to kill him.The man was lonely and no one was going to help him alive or dead..i do not think that murray will stay in the jail for 4 years...he would stay there for few monthes only in case there was a trial in the first place !

If I remember that part correctly, Katherine just mentioned that he told her that he was getting treatment for the vitiligo because he didn't want to look spotted. Katherine said that she didn't know what the treatment was. I don't recall her mentioning surgery. I didn't think it was a big deal. I'm sure that there are lots of mothers in the world who don't understand the medical treatments their adult children get.

Haters aren't too concerned about the facts. You can spell official documents out for them all you want but they'll still stick to their own theory. That's why I've decided to no longer debate them, it is a waste of time because they will never ever admit they were wrong, even if deep down they know it.

ya know your right Murray will only stay in jail fora few months because after those four months or so..... He wont be around. Some of Michael's biggest fans are in prison. I hope like hell he gets placed with the biggest baddest mj fan on cell block D.

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

JANET! Janet was the main one talking about all of the conference calls she made, trying to get the remaining member on board and how she would open for them. She went on and on about it with Ellen AND Larry King, but never said a dang thing about interventions and drug addictions.

To ME it's simply. You can't have it both ways. On one hand you have talk regarding inventions and on the other hand you have talk about BEGGING your brother to join you on stage.

Why was Janet BEGGING? Surely it wasn't for the money.

IKR? It just doesn't make sense.

Yeah exactly, Michael didn't want to look spotted and i can't blame him. I really don't see much a big deal in this neither really. Thats why i was wondering why some peeps here dislike that part so much.

I noticed it too, he didn't look too pleased at all. And a friend of mine on MSN says...nah he's just shy. I don't believe thats it, he really didn't seem to want to be there. However on one hand i don't think Michael really spoke negative of Oprah to his children, cause i just don't see Michael speaking negative about anyone really. And on the other hand...maybe he did, and that's why especially his two sons are like 'wtf are you doing here?' .

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

Do some really need to sound this detached and comfortably make some points that eventually are really harmful to some, because Jackson is not here to defend himself. Your posts are insensitive. He took Propofol not with the intention of killing himself, but he had none to better be there for him, he couldn't sleep, having tried everything as Cheryll Lynn said as well. You could use some research and some empathy as well. But, hey, why should I care? That's right: I care, as well as others, when people with lack of empathy express their opinions.

I have plenty of empathy for Michael Jackson, and I think that's been clear from the beginning. I'm just stating the fact that Michael Jackson took prescription drugs to alleviate some of his pain and people should not be attacking HIS OWN MOTHER WHO HE LOVED MORE THAN ANYONE and accusing her of lies.

Nope, no sense at all.

I even recall Tito Jackson talking about going to see Michael during his O2 run and how he and the brothers would be willing to join him on stage at the O2.

As per Tito Jackson: "I'm hoping that he ask us to join him on stage." (While flashing to giant Tito smile.)

Tito making those comments certainly didn't seem to be concerned about "drug addiction" and/or "inventions."
