The new album is getting closer and closer. You can feel the excitement in the air. It's coming. When it does come, which producers would you like to see on the album? We all know about will.i.am, Akon and other current hip-hop artists/producers working on the new album. So I didn't include them in the poll. I thought of 10 producers who have worked with Michael, who have expressed interest in working with Michael or who fans have mentioned they'd like to see work with Michael. Out of these 10, which producers would you most list to see work on the new MJ album. You can select more than one option.

p.s. I mucked up the poll question. I was going to put in brackets the artists those producers have worked with in case you don't know, but I forgot to do it before I hit the 'post' button. lol. Now I can't edit it. No matter.

Working again with Q and T. Riley would be surely great. But, in same way, they represent the past and this is not a good point.

For the future, a collaboration with Brian Eno would be perfect. Eno has always produced wonderful music, especially for U2. Michael and Eno could do great things together, i truly believe that.

I think Eno and Michael could make great music too. I'd be interested to hear a collaboration between the two. However, I didn't vote for him. My top picks would be Quincy Jones (I know that's just like taking steps backwards instead of moving forward, but MJ/Quincy is a proven collaboration that works) and Trent Reznor (I truly think his synthy/electro style of rock that's almost pop but not quite would suit Michael).

I've put Riley, Foster & Neptunes.

Riley & Foster have the best reputation & Neptunes are the best current lot.

One other thought, if Michael can write, compose & produce Who Is It by himself, I'm not sure he needs anyone else.

Also, I'd have voted Bill Bottrell if he was up there (Give In To Me, Black Or White etc)

from the other thread (which also had a poll, that i don't understand the purpose of since the options are endless! lol), but i've put:

the others being too many to list but any two of the soulful maestros below:

Dre & Vidal
Waajeed
Ali Shaheed Muhammed (of ATCQ) with Raphael Saadiq
Nicolay
Angie Stone
any sort of Soulquarian collective
anyone from The Low Budget Collective

just any one of those would make my year

and Rick Rubin for an in-your-face rock-urban track

in the end, it would be good to see Michael stick to 3-4 producers max with one being co-executive, preferably will.i.am. even though he's not my fav producer, Will's a very good guide to make a fresh-sounding, positive touch that will reach the mainstream.

and i don't get the Teddy Riley collab... have you listened to his most recent work? Teddy's unreleased Blackrock album sounds like a train wreck. don't get me wrong, the guy's one of my musical heroes, but his time is definitely up.

For the future, a collaboration with Brian Eno would be perfect. Eno has always produced wonderful music, especially for U2. Michael and Eno could do great things together, i truly believe that.
that'd be interesting to hear - no doubt Eno would invent some sort of new musical theory just for Mike lol

Himself. Michael can do that, I know he can and I think, just as the songs he wrties by himself are the best, I think the production on his albums would be the best if he did it himself, save for maybe his work with Quincy.
