white birds (doves?) circling above the o2 arena

i saw them, but thought they were arranged. there was a small bunch first and then a bigger bunch.

also saw two lots of mjjc balloons be let go too :)

also when there was the one minute applause there was 1 single star right above the stage

I saw it, and I taped it. Didn't have time to edit yet, I will try to get something 'up' on youtube tonight. I think it was seaguls, but still... they were there. And when the silence ended, they were gone again.

Oh and...
seemed like the man on the megaphone didn't stop all night

That was so true. I guess everbody has their own way with dealing (is that polite enough, ha ha). ;)

Yeah in his what was it RAGE OF CAGE? t-shirt Cage of rage?? I dunno very respectful of him.

gosh,...you al mean the dready bla bla guy....
okay everyone deals their own way with michael,s dead, and the way they acted would be nice when there really was an concert of mike...but when i think of a vigil i think about candles, serenity and togetherness and also a place to be sad....smiling and laughing.
And not a loud screaming guy with a kelly osbourne look a like who wanted us all to celebrate......for some of us that,s still too early.i was dissapionted that the whole stage was taken by people who were making a party out of it.....
i would loved too just sit there and looking at the flowers, cards and the candles in peace with m,y own pain and thoughts...and not people almost kicking me off that stage..

haha that made me smile :) :)

I thought it was too bad some people took the vigil as an opportunity to promote themselves, or at least it seemed so. Especially when the press was still there. I overheard some 'lookalikes' squirming with pleasure: "Oh, yes... I did magazine interviews today, I did tv, I did...." That really made me think: why are you here, for Michael, or for self promotion?

But in the evening, the press was gone, and so was the shouting and screaming. I am glad I was still there, and could experience a more quiet, more respectfull gathering.

Actually the kelly osbourne lookalike was more annoying than the dreddy guy - and that's saying something!

Anyway - where is this footage? We need proof!

Yeah, it got nice at aound 10 or 10.30 pm....the doves showed up around 11 pm.

I would love to see your film of the doves...i am unble to upload it a this time because we are on the internetconnection in our Hotel.
We have 1 film and 3 pictures.

We'll be at the O2 again tomorow, i hope things will be calmer then and that fans can connect with each other there and share memories, feel sad, sing together, etc....

Does anyone know if the MJ screen is still there?

Yeah i agree. Although in some ways i disagree with you guys because i think it was nice that all the fans were singing and dancing to his songs, because it cheered me up. There was still a part of me that is VERY sad that hes gone, i cried today, and i didnt think i would again. But it just got to me. So, i would have also liked it to have been quiet aswell. I had to leave at 9:30, due to the train etc, so im gutted that you said it got quiet around 10/10:30, cos i would have liked that, but oh well. Hopefully another time.
The people on stage really annoyed me to. Especially when they kept shouting at people to get off the stage and steps, its like who cares- just get on with it if your gonna do something. Didnt like the fact the kept repeating the same songs either, it was like the popular songs were the only songs they knew, so they wernt really fans, if you get me? That probably sounds harsh to say there not fans, but you woulda thought they could play a bigger variety, not just Billie Jean & TWYMMF all the time- as much as i love em!
I would love to go tomoro to see what its like but i cant. :(

Hey guys,

as i said before , if the stage was kept clear and not used for a performance platform i think that *the celebration of life* which i must say this was about as well, could of gone hand in hand with the vigil later on. I think that the vigil would of been much appropriate when we could all light candles as it got darker and a more calmer approach took. I also think that if o2 head helped us out with some sound we could of all sung in unison, even helping the newie fans and people that may not know his lesser known songs, and me for one would of loved and welcome that. Michael Jackson stands for unity, and breaking down barriers! This was his work, and this is why as much as i hate it, think GOD took michael for one of his Angels now. The best die Young and thats where he is now. We should all try to carry on his work and welcome any fan that wants to be part of his great worldwide family.

photo? its likely someone released them on purpose if there are exactly 50 doves-or there was a wedding nearby

i have pictures but i am still in london, cant get them online now because my cables are at home...i will upload them sometime tomorrow.

I'll do my best to get it up there, but I really didn't have the time to do so yet. I worked on translating the Timor video, and that had priority for me. I do have it though, and it will be online, I think early next week.

It may come up later that someone released them, but I've never seen them at weddings, but wouldn't they fly back to where they came from? I'm not sure. I can't wait to see the pictures though. :D

I know how you feel. I felt that way too. The "Party" on the stage was more about themselves than Michael's memory. Of course they were entitiled to do their own thing, but it interferred with everything else that was going on.

The birds were 'magic'.

lol its taking AGES for anyone to show this magical thing...at the end of the day i dont believe in that stuff. you can take your own meaning from anything meh. I get a bit fed up of the 'zomg i saw michael's face in a cloud/car bonnet/in my bedroom playing with my monitor (lol at that one)'

A bit later because we missed our flight and ended up being home 22 hrs late....

I might be able to get the picture clearer later on but it was difficult to get on picture because it was dark and they were a bit far away..
if i count correctly i see 50 birds, def. smaller thanseagulls or whatever, they were clearly white, came when the silence began a little past 2300 hrs and left a minute later.
At one time you could even make out a heart shape pattern that they left out but i took the picture a little after that.

Someone releasing them doesnt make much sense to me..why would they do that at that time...you would have thought they'd do something like that earlier in the evening because when this occurred a lot of fans had already left.
Besides...they came from the office area, not a place where fans gathered and i doubt many people were there anyway....that area looked deserted.

There's a movie (on my sis's camera) that will be uploaded as well.

they were seagulls

believe me, that are NO seaguls...
seaguls are bigger.

these birds were smaller and tiny.

what is it that people just don,t want to see the message of this?

I have a video of this and want to copyright this first before posting here, but believe me....
that are NO seaguls.

i think they cant read...everyone there saw they were smaller than that.
i saw seagulls all day at the O2, i know what they look like.
I am not saying these birds are doves but they were small and white and flying around a little before midnight in a group and then left.

believe what you want to believe

they were seagulls there must have been a colony near by which got disturbed because they did the same thing at about 3.30am and seagulls come in a variety of sizes (at least they do in the UK i dunno about the Netherlands). Possibly the Kittiwake but could have just been the common gull being so close to the river Thames you get both breeds in the area. (sorry about the excessive info but had to do a survey of wild birds in east London for my uni course last year)
