Whitney Houston Has Passed Away

This is very sad. She had a great voice, was very talented, and she always had Michael's back.

I actually remember Whitney as a teen model in the 80's. She was the first black woman to appear on the cover of Seventeen magazine.

I want to go in hard because this is so deep and real...What i will say she is the greatest of all greats may she rest in peace i am so heartbroken feels like June 25, 2009 all over again sadly she dies two days before my bday which is feb 13th I will never forget Feb 11,2012

Sing and shine in glory now, Whitney.

And thank you for the music.

Jermaine on CNN talking about Whitney. Amazing how it always comes back to Jermaine. He is taking equal credit with Clive Davis for creating Whitney.

CNN is showing an iconic photo of Elizabeth Taylor, Liza Minelli, MJ and Whitney Houston. CNN host Don Lemon said MJ fans really love him. They are are guiding him through the coverage, correcting him to say MJ is the king of pop, not was.

I'm still in shock over her death, she was another favorite of mine from my childhood

I haven't even started to get over Michael's death yet. And now Whitney is gone. I can't believe this.

OMG. I was at a restaurant having dinner when I heard. Just got home now.

It was honestly a flashback when I heard cuz it was the exact same way I heard about Michael. A simple text message from the same friend saying "Omg ___ ____ died"

I'm floored. What a loss. A lot of familiar feelings are creeping up...

I haven't felt like this since that day...

I just found out about it in a games site I frecuent, among all the little silly updates and comments from friends & contacts.
I admit my heart skipped a beat and it took me a while to react.I'm so shocked and saddened.
“Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some people move our souls to dance. They awaken us to a new understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom. Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon. They stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never, ever the same.”
Farewell,Whitney.Thanks for the magic.

God bless Whitney and her family, friends, and fans. I am so shocked and saddened by this horrific news. Another one gone too soon. Whitney was the standard which all others was measured. RIP.

OK I am going to need someone to get Jermaine off the TV. He knows how her Mom and Dad and brother are feeling now. Really Jermaine? Her Dad is dead so you have no idea how he is feeling now. And you know people build walls around Whitney. Never mind the fact Whitney said her Mother was always there for her? Jermaine shut up

R.I.P
Can't stop thinking about her. My condolence to her family.
Can't imagine what Bobbi Christina is going through right now...

If I should die this very day
Don't cry, cause on earth we wasn't meant to stay
And no matter what people say
I'll be waiting for you after judgement day

'Cause your love is my love
and my love is your love
It would take an eternity to break us
And the chains of Amistad couldn't hold us

Thanks qbee. It's so sad words escape me. I love her voice, brilliant! My heart goes out to her family and friends .
This is so sad. She will truly be missed. It's so sureal....

I heard this news from a text message while I was at a play. My condolences to her family. The media are complete parasites. I arrived home to watch some idiot on CNN ponder how Sissy Houston feels right now.

Uh...Jermaine took a big part in Whitney's early career as a solo artist BEFORE she got very famous. They worked together and recorded together as a duet. In fact I remember some of the songs they dueted on in the 1980's. And she had history with the Jackson family throughout the years personally as well as professionally. So Jermaine can talk about her if he wants. This is not an attention-seeking thing for him.

I knew that, and I'm not the only one of the opinion that Jermaine was/is going overboard. Did he even keep in touch with her over the years?

Apart from commenting on their collaborations in the 1980's, I don't think he's qualified to speculate about Whitney in the last few years of her life, much less about her personal issues as if he was an insider till the end.

Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina got into an angry shouting match with police officers outside the hotel room where her mother was found dead ... TMZ has learned.

According to law enforcement sources ... Bobbi Kristina showed up on the 4th floor of the Beverly Hilton several hours after Whitney's death. We're told when officers informed her no one was allowed to see the body -- BK screamed, cursed and demanded to see her mother.

Ultimately, she was not allowed into the room and left. We're told Whitney's cousin Dionne Warwick also showed up later. She too was turned away by officers.

As we reported earlier ... other family members and friends -- who were in the room when authorities arrived -- identified Whitney's body.

Actually in recent years she was in touch with Jermaine as well as other members of the Jacksons when Michael died. We don't know EVERYTHING about who the Jacksons know and for how long. I was shocked to know how close Michael was to Whitney's cousin Dionne Warrick---he even referred to her as "Mom". Before that, I thought they were just music industry peers, even though he was friends with Whitney.

And as far as who's 'qualified' to talk about Whitney regarding her personal life up to her death, you can say the same thing about others who voiced thier views on Whitney's life since she died. So why single Jermaine out as if he's committing an act of treason? I forgot, he's one of the 'marked' Jacksons.
