Your jumping the gun a bit. No matter if Michael had a new album out or not, it's only logical that Thriller25 would be released considering how much of effect it's had on popular culture. I've been expecting a 25th Anniversary Edition of Thriller for quite a few years. I'm also expecting a 30th Anniversary Edition of Off The Wall. It's not the point of it been a good idea, it's a point of celebrating brilliant and innovative music that changed the scope of pop music.
I dont think im jumping the gun. I agree, as i said before, that Thriller 25 is an amazing idea. Its the biggest selling album of all time. It really is what put MJ at the top. Nothing else has ever been as popular before, at the time, or since.. even to this day. The celebration HAD to happen and i would have been disappointed if it didnt. Its MJs iconic album. But i think that should be the only one where they dedicate an entire 12 month period to promoting and pimping out an old album. I will support ANY anniversary, and buy the special edition CD, but the whole PROMO side of things only fits for Thriller..
And as Ne-Yo said, its a good idea to bring out T25 before he goes with the album of new material.
