World of Michael Jackson on iTunes

Hey guys, I don't know if anyone has mentioned anything about this before or not, but one of my friends tod me today that they had something really cool about Michael Jackson on iTunes, and when I looked, I found a whole section called World of Michael Jackson!! :wild: I think it is new; at least I have never seen it before. it is very positively written. It starts off with "Put down the tabloids. Turn off the TV.Allow us to reintroduce you to, arguably, the greatest pop star ever," :thumbs_up: and the rest of the section is devoted to Michael's music, his "roots and influences", "similar sounds", "covers", vidoes, a biography, "legacy", in which they have a bunch of songs you can buy from people who have been influenced by MJ, and "samples", a compilation of songs that sample MJ's music. In this section, they wrote, "as your hip-hop heroes already know, even the tiniest piece of Michael can turn a song into a hit." so true! :clap:

I was so excited when I saw this! I hope that a lot of people will see this and realize if they haven't already what a huge influence Michael has had on music.

I found this by looking under "staff favorites" on the main page. it's also listed under "iTunes collections". Sorry if this thread is in the wrong place or if this is really old news

oh, and I looked around and it was really awesome page dedicated to MJ...some things in the second half of the biography became a litte opinionated and less objective IMO lol..but cool site overall

Wow - this is AWESOME! Thanks for letting us know. I rarely use iTunes so I probably wouldn't have known otherwise .

I haven't read the biography section (and let's face it - almost everywhere you see an MJ biography it almost always has his private life & controversy in it), but everything else looks really good. I really like that they tacked on MJ's influences as well as the people who have been influenced by him. All in all, this collection is wonderful for new and old fans alike. I can definitely see a lot of people not as familar with MJ and possibly younger generations coming to be fans through this.

Just in case anyone's interested and doesn't have iTunes (personally, I use Winamp ) (and I dunno if I'm allowed to post these or not, so if not - sorry mods!), here's how it looks:

That's the main page. And if you can't read the main description/intro, it goes something like this (because I liked it soooo much! ):

How awesome is that?! :wild: Man, MJ really is everywhere lately and I'm loving it! Whoever's working on his PR and setting up deals like this with iTunes (er, if they make deals for this kind of thing, that is) is doing fanfriggingtastic!! :clapping:

^^Yes, Yes!! It is and awesome page with great pics and the influences, conteporaries, and followers..

And oh indeed that intro is Fan Frickin' Tastic lol... its been awhile since we've seen MJs music being in the mainstream media (itunes) so positively. Oh I LOVE IT!! I hope the youngins really start to understand why "grownups cry over this man" they need to know MJs legacy.

I know, it's nice to see some effort go into something that casts Michael in a positive light. I'm really happy with iTunes for making this.
