sttr is worse than i can imagine. timba made the intro sound like some dubstep song. wth. I guess Xscape would be the only song I like since the rest are timba produced mess.

...how can you seriously prefer the Tricky version to this one? This one has a Michael feel to it. The Tricky version does not. And for the last time, you're getting the ORIGINAL DEMOS. Stop complaining. Dear God, even when fans get exactly what they want they have to find something to whine about.

this album has so many strong songs. i hope that timbaland reworked LNFSG and gave it a discolike vibe (at least mid tempo!), cause then i could live with that song.
(i rly disliked the demo).

those guys who are hating it already, should just leave.

thanks. that's some really low sales figure. i think the worst album in the 80s wouldn't sell as little. :/ but it's only from 1st quarter sales. still, it looks like Xscape will be in the list and in the top 3 spot.

I can't wait either!! - I hope they give us a release date for the first single soon! - If 1 single should come a few weeks before the album and then the 2nd single maybe the week before the album to create hype - they really need to release it soon!

I just want the songs to sound great and the album to do well in charts. if I don't like it myself, I doubt the general public will like it too cause i have a very general taste. I genuinely think tricky's version is better and a lot of fans that i know of feel the same. they just do not comment on the fanboard.

Well, if the prediction proves to be correct. But let's hope it will. I'd be pretty pleased with 1 million copies selling in the US. And if they meant UK sales, that actually sounds rather irrealistic to predict 1 million. Here are the best selling UK albums so far in 2014:

To be honest I dislike the genre of music Trickys version was, and not too crazy about the new version but hey, ive only heard less than a minute! I cant wait to hear the rest and see

I think they chose 8 very strong songs too! - I love that they went with some great songs! - maybe one ballade like YANA or something would have been great. - But still this song choise is wise. When MJ is not here anymore to promote the songs, I think upbeat fast songs will have a better chance to get succes.

I just read this article in The Sun(I know but a friend told me I should read this because it wasn't trashy)on the way home about Xscape it has been given a playback at the Bulgari Hotel in London last DJ Trevor Nelson introduced it and made some interesting and exciting comments:
He said:

"I'm here as a fan, just wanting you to know whether these songs are any good. There is nothing on here as good as anything on his mega-selling albums. But it's a big improvement on Michael, these songs are fully formed, not patchy ideas."

"Its also easy to spot which era they were in. There are disco tracks- where Michael's voice sounds youthful-suggesting they were part of Off The Wall sessions in the late 1970s. One in particular shares its DNA with Rock With You. There are also nods to Thriller and Bad, and 2 more electric tracks that would be right at home in the charts now".

It has nothing to do with this, just all the commercials of Sony Xperia Z2 in which is featured Slave. Final one has the first verse.

If you will take into account what we know until now, the NEW songs will be:

XSCAPE (maybe the 2003 demo)
CHICAGO(demo)
DYKWYCA(demo, NOT the candidate for MICHAEL album which was another mix)
STTR(demo. d'oh, don't need to say more)

It's most likely that the original version of Escape will be different than the leaked one, so we can say that only LNFSG, BG & APWNN will be the "already known" tracks. I dunno why the haters are moaning about a boring tracklist

All the hate for LNFSG. It's ok, I don't really like the song myself, but they tried to capture every MJ era. And they did.

If all the eras will be represented indeed, then I assume that Chicago is from the BAD sessions and not from the reworked Invincible session

No I am not kidding. I couldn't care less if it's 'generic' I only care about how good it sounds to my ears... and in this case well compared to other two instrumentals.

No. I've lightened up since I first found out and at the moment don't have a substantial problem with the album but six of the eight songs have been heard.

LNFSG - original demo leaked
SWLM - unleaked
Chicago - unleaked
APWNN - 2008 mix leaked (not that different from the original)
STRR - heard in some capacity
DYKWYCA - 2010 mix leaked (not that different from the original apparently)
BG - original recording leaked
Escape - 2002 mix leaked

Truthfully, there are only TWO songs on the whole compilation that have never been heard. Everything else has in some degree (remixed or original). I'm not complaining any at the moment, I'm just saying. And don't get technical and say "The demos are different!" Doesn't matter; we know what's going to happen. We know the lyrics. We know what Michael sings and how he songs it. Therefore, we've already heard it.

Again, I've lightened up so I'm not complaining. Just beig honest

Hear hear! This is all anyone should worry about. Whether they THEMSELVES will enjoy the song. To be bluntly honest I really don't care what anyone else thinks of anything that I like.

I like something because I like it. Its as simple as that. There's no need to try and persuade anyone otherwise. That' why I'm not getting into the debate about whether they sound good or not. I personally don't think Slave sounds great from what I heard, but that's just me.

Definitely agree. His ad libs add depth. And it completely dominates the 2010 mix.
