^^absolutely agree with you. Madonna deserves it more than anyone else.

i don't hate Janet Jackson, i actually wanted to support her seeing that she's Michael's sister.
However, she's just not so good as an artist.

Can you turn that little face down? Thats like walking past an orphanage on Christmas day with her little face pressed up against the glass, and you just walk by, as her eyes follow you down the street.

What? Janet has had no impact on the music industry? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Now that's just foolish. RN 1814 is still the biggest debut tour ever, RN CD is the first CD to have 5 singles in the 10 ten from the same album

Rhythm Nation is the only album with 7 top 5 singles, BAD which came out before it is the only album with 5 #1's.

I am trying to say you were factually incorrect, Thriller was the first album to have 5 top 5's if you like i can list chart positions of each song. The point is Thriller had 7 top 10's five went top 5 and and the other two were no.7 and no.10, Bruce Springsteen had 7 top 10's as well with Born In The USA, when BAD came out the first five song's went no.1 with the last two being no.11 and no.7, then Rhymthm Nation came out and had 7 top 5's. Bottom line in spite of your best efferts, I hope you realize the campaign of uniting the fanbases isn't going to work, be sure to let the folks know that over at the Janet board.

Sorry, I was just trying to share the love and positivity, because Michael has inspired me to do that. But I guess his own fans and Janet's own fans aren't ready to change their evil ways and just make peace.

lol its funny how some of u say janet has had no impact on the music industry
janet is an ICON and she has inspired many of today's female artists such as ciara, beyonce etc
to me she is the true Queen of pop and r&b. shes made brilliant videos, shes had so many #1 hits on the billboard charts, shes sold millions of records and shes had many highly successful tours. she is a legend in her own right. i would never compare her to michael cuz theres no comparison obviously. nobody has even come close to him and nobody will ever be able to touch him. yes michaels and janets fans need to come together and support each other when its needed.

I am a Michael Jackson & Janet Jackson big fan, I just never was a member of Michael's board. I love them both because they are so much alike. I would never compare them because Janet loves Michael just as much as the fans, Janet is a fan of Michael's and Michael is a fan of Janet, now can you imagine what could happen with Janet & Michael if the fans joined forces????????????? I am dead serious, I heard a guy say this on BET, that with the fans that Janet & Michael have, if we joined forces, the music industry would not have a choice but to recognize the biggest Icons in music history. Well what he really said that can you imagine the JJ fans and MJ fans joining forces. Let's come together and make them the Queen & King over all charts, I-tunes and etc.

Actually I think that it's a great idea.

It annoys me to no end the animosity that some JJ fans have towards MJ and vis-versa. Even if one doesn't like the music of one or the other, I do wish for everyone on both sides to remember that they are family.

Thought of in another way, what if you and your sibling were famous, but you hear about the terrible things said about your loved one from people who claim to love you so much, how would u feel?

The Jackson family, for all of their human fragilities, have contributed a lot to the music scene and it would be nice if fans of both MJ and JJ remember that.

At least that is my hope. :)

madonna and janet are both very successful so i guess it all comes down to ones personal taste. madonna doesnt do it for me
 
eh i'm not crazy about that idea. I say it's a competition...the best female (for queen of pop) wins...not the best female that can win MJ fans votes lol.

And if janet's fans ask michael's fans that's because they know that mj's fanbase is far HUGER than janet's fanbase.

they do it for janet's interest because she would rather not to have another 4th failure with DISCIPLINE , after the 3 last flop albums ,while everybody know that even TH25 will sell 3 to 5 time more than DISCIPLINE , they don't care about michael they won't buy TH25 , they just want michael's fans do it for them .

NO WAY !!

I can answer that..... janets fans are having a little bit too much to their say on Michael, and some of them can't even believe Michael is brother with Janet....

I think Janet ones said she wished her fans would understand her family more and not judge them before they've listened to her

Exactly. And the original poster was not speaking to MJ fans who are also Janet fans, cause that is a given that she will get there support. She was trying to get non Janet fans to buy Janets album to make her number one again. We have answered her. Many of us have said NO. Let her fans support her. That is honesty and integrity. How would we feel if MJ enemies join forces to keep MJ from topping the charts, that would not be fair to him. Let janets music be her judge, let her fans support it, That is the right thing to do.:D

interesting.. well, for me... I respect Janet.. only becuz she is Michael's sister.. if she wasn't a Jackson.. I would not pay any attention to her..

for me, I more appreciate female singers that have STRONG voices..

Michael loves his little sister.. and she gets my respect based on that..she's family...

but...

b4 the Superbowl fiasco.. Janet willingly went along with the divide and conquer thing the media played with her a Michael.. with her being protrayed as the GOOD/SANE Jackson...

That is so true, and I can't help feeling that Janet should have refused the first Icon award that MTV showered on her, It was a definate snob to MJ. It would have looked ridiculous for them to give it to another artist but Janet should not have accepted it because MJ made MTV and he should have been receiving that award. Anyway, I do respect the entire Jackson family, but I am partial to the men in that family, but my favourite singer of the girls is Rebbie, and my favourite sister, personality wise is Latoya, with all of her problems.:p

And she went to Oprah after all the crap she said about michael , she definitely take distances with michael .
