I won't be blaming Sony, but I think it was a mistake to not send out ample amounts to the stores. You always prepare for success, not failure.

I feel sony ccc-can indeed be blamed for this...if they really 'meant it' in regard to the huge promotion for T25, then why didn't they ' back it up' :punk: by making enough copies available for purchase...hmmm.

Still touching & agreeing & prayin' for Mike, but like Mike said in the Ebony interview, 'trustin' & believing only in God for the victory! On the subject of MJ, in regard to trust, ph-ony would still come in dead last, (unless otherwise proven by a new statement issued directly from MJ's lips:wub:).

Since God often aids us by helping us to 'help' ourselves, I will be making my multiple purchases via amazon, today (since it counts toward Billboard), & plzzz-z don't forget Janet, if ya'll can afford to add her on.

Sony Cannot Be Blamed For Stores Not Ordering Enough Copies. Its The Stores Who Only Ordered 25 Copies Fault! Period! Stop Whining!

I'm going to definetly disagree with you.

The individual stores are the functions that order a select amount. Sony has an abundance of supply of Thriller 25.

This wasn't even a "mistake" by Sony.

Well, if people are running around like headless chicken, trying to find the album, then there isn't enough in the shops. Sony underestimated people's needs for the album. That was what I meant and you understand what I meant, so yes, I will blame sony. Those waiting time could be crucial to the no 1 position. YOU don't have to blame sony. Nobody is asking you to. But I WILL. Now please leave me alone with my grief.:)

& by the way, no one is 'whin-ning' by stating their opinion on this, (*we base this conclusion soley on sony's history w/MJ). To be fair, we won't then assume other posters to be 'whin-ners' when they state their opinions in the future.

If we are indeed incorrect on the issue that the record companies & not stores decide the number of units ordered for sale, then please post store policies, (or other), to inform members of that fact.

On a serious note: we do appreciate factual updates.

Can someone help me ?

Does the Billboard hot 100 counts only for the US sales or the world sales ? i am from Frnce so if i buy another copy to day to help TH25 , does it count in the number o sales ?

Yes, indeed. I am not a whinner. I never complain about anything mj does in his career. BUT I sure as hell will whine and throw a tandrum and few plates if MJ's album failed the number 1 spot BECAUSE there wasn't enough shipment. So come on Sony, make it fast, move ya butt.:p

Sony dont really care about chart positions to be honest, its all about sales, if they dont have enough to sell this week, theres always next week... no big deal for them

Tom, has the album charted yet or would this be the debut charting? I mean would they say it is in at...position^_^

I support Michael in every way. I bought 6 copies (for me, my family members & friends;-)

Oh, my boyfriend never particularly liked Michael, and he always annoyed me with stupid comments.

This morning he came to me and said, "can I hear your Thriller 25 CD in the car?" I said, "I thought you don`t like him?!!" .. Well, he as the ultimate non MJ-fan: "I have never said that I don`t like his music."

The sense of the story: I think, MJ hater are also fans .. they secretly admire his music;-)

I've long known that :lol: cute story, i always say the ones complaining the most about Mike will be the same ones knocking you over at the store to cop his CD.

If you are buying it online you'd have to buy it from the amazon based in america, not sure with you being in France if you can do that but is the only way it can count towards the Billboard 200 here in the states, i hope that helps :flowers:

Why have so many shops not got enough copies in stock i went into 3 shops today and none had any copies?

That's true and it would be interesting if because of people not finding it this week if it would cause T25 to have a bigger week the following week, that has happened when an album sold more in the second week than first, it's a rare occurence but it has happened, it wouldn't shock me in this case since alot of people wound up asking stores to backorder for them.

people from outside USA can also help michael reach #1 in the USA, just go to

www.amazon.com

and use your local amazon account (germany, france, england, japan etc) to sign in and place an order! u just pay by credit card, thats the only difference! :) lets help him to reach #1 once more!

I honestly believe that even with all of the promotion, that both SONY and stores underestimated the public's response to Michael, i can understand to a degree when you've been bombarded with negatives about Michael especially since 2003, now i hope with so many of the public worldwide going all out to get this that the industry being the music industry as a whole rally around Michael and this will be the encouraging deciding factor to get that new album out, i am thrilled that fans and non fans alike are showing their dedication and loyalty to Michael and he truly deserves this given how rough the last 15 years have been for him, this was a great litmus test for SONY and Mike has passed with flying colors :D
