Help Michael reach #1 if you buy the CD by Sunday 17th Feb

SONY for the first time in a long time is doing there part with a Michael Jackson project.. I am pleased with what they have done..

It's the companies.. ALSO, store managers that decide not to order MORe when they sell out, not to put a Michael Jackson area etc..

Your issues should go to management of that store.. Not Sony..

If you read back far enough you will see that the 'issue' was long resolved. Someone explaned several pages ago that it was the shops fault for not ordering enough and I accepted that explanation. There is no more need for defending Sony or to chastise the poster. It is over.

If we buy an album and return it some other time, does it count as towards sales?? or does it later minus a sale when returned??

I heard it counts, but I want to make sure.. cuz I'll buy some more, and return them.. loL!

Some stores dont give u ya money back, they give u a credit note instead

could someone buy the one packaged with number ones dvd? i would pay via paypal :) (i'm from austria, so its not easy for me to buy it...)

Okay...I am going to do my part, and also get a gift at the same time!! I am GOING TO GET THRILLER 25 TOMORROW!! AND NOONE IS GOING TO STOP ME!! BWAHAHAHAHHA (evil Dr. Evil laugh ensues)

My mother bought one on Tuesday and called me to tell me that the cashier had said they only had one little box and that they were almost were already out. I was already on my way to that store where she bought it and when I asked for the cd the lady said, "Boy your lucky because this is the last one." I was like really and I saw the box my mom was talking about and I think it could only fit around 50 to 100 cds. I knew that was suspicious about them only having that little box. I was telling my mom if that lady said anything else to her and she said they were going to have to order more. So yes it is the store's fault and not Sony. I really applaud Sony for doing a great job on the promotion fo T25. It will be great when we see Thriller as the number one album next week. It will be another record Michael will have written in the HIStory books.

Now it seems to me like a part of Sony's marketing strategy to make Thriller25 album such an unavailable product lol. It's getting more attractive and desired actually when it's so hard to get it. People will buy it, no matter what:lol:
Anyway Sony does their best imo

It doesn't sound good, it doesn't sound fair. Doesn't look good for Mike either. better buy copies for presents, special occasions, useful presents not building up lies. ;)

Now, the other idea with Thriller for the Iraq troops, it's a great one! :punk:

does it count if you buy the thriller 25 today? or is that too late for the charts?

they didnt really promote it!!! i only seen 1 commercial and that was the day i got the CD =/ they need better ways to promote

dude..they're promoting everywhere, u need to look on the web. he's on myspace, facebook, featured artist, websites are writing about him, youtube channel...

ways of promoting have changed nowadays, there aren't so many tv-ads anymore.

and sony was successful with this kind of promotion, just look, thriller 25 is sold out in most places.

Jesus, why can't y'all be happy if "Thriller" debuts at No. 3 in the US? I really don't see a big deal with y'all thinking buying more copies would push it up...unless y'all buying the album online. Anyway, if an album is sold out across the board, that means it's DOING SOMETHING.

And didn't I just read in THIS board that it ain't just DIEHARD FANS buying it? I bet you the one who bought SIX copies ain't a fan either.

Hi peeps, I have removed some comments here because frankly they are not relevant to the topic. Whatever someone decides to spend their money on is nobody else's business but that person's. So please no more discussions/opinion etc on what other people choose to spend their money on. No one if forced to buy T25 so if you don't want to then that's your choice but respect others that choose too.

i dont think anyone actually said anyone was forced to buy T25?! somebody made a comment & i agreed with it! a little ott to actually remove the comments.a little off topic perhaps but there was nothing offensive about them.

I will repeat myself Lol! The topic is 'Help Michael to reach no.1 if you buy CD by Sunday 17th' so if anyone wants to help MJ and wants to share how he/she will be doing that great, if anyone doesn't want to great. However the topic isn't about views/opinions on whether one agrees with the ways someone else chooses to spend his/her own money in helping MJ.

Back to the discussion

I already bought two copies for myself. One the deluxe booklet edition and then one standard edition. I wanted to get a couple more sales in by Sunday making gift purchases, but travelling to three seperate sold out stores made it a discouragement. Those stores were Target, WalMart and Meijers. I was so thrilled for Michael!!! I am sorry, I just couldn't shop anymore guys... LOL.
