So i am one of those people who live with someone who doesn't like MJ and has to """"suffer"""" hours and hours of mj music playing on my computer.
He always says to me that i'm "crazy" and that MJ music doesn't make him feel anything:lol:

I open this thread for all those people who share their lives with someone who doesn't like or even hate MJ^_^
 
:lol: My husband doesn't like Michael at all, but he respects my opinion and fanship and lets me adore my idol. :smile:
 
My boyfriend HATES MJ. He can't see the appeal either. But then he can't stand many of the other the artists I listen to....especially Prince and Madonna.

my mum always thanks me for having an obsession with someone so brilliant.

some people at work hate michael but there are at least 3 times as many people at work who adore him, including on woman on the same level of fandom as us!

That's so sweet :)

I remember the time when my mom had kinda hard times to understand why I wanna spend my money on Michael, buy items and go to see him everytime when it's possible. It's not a cheap "hobby", but luckily I have my little brother and I always use him as an example when I want my mommy to understand something :D I told her how my brother buys all the latest home stereo systems and spends a lot of money on his home, car and so on. That is why he's working, earning money and what makes him happy. Seeing Michael is what makes me happy. The same thing, just the target for our money is different. Eventually I got her to understand :) So nowadays she even gives me some coins to raise my "Im going to see Michael" fund :D And also she promised to pay the half of my flight tickets next time.

See that's the problem.
People really should learn to focus on the music/talent other than his looks or the way he's portrayed by the media.
 
my dad doesnt like MJ at all!! he always tries to annoy me by saying stupid stuff of Mike to me...:( but i always say something against it... :lol: My mom doesnt really care but shes always asking that how can i be so obsessed with him... :lol: :woohoo:
 
My family doesn't exactly hate him. But my sister doesn't like his voice (I mean can you imagina:rolleyes:) She thinks it's too feminie!!
And everytime my brother-in-law sees a pic of Michael, he sais: hey who is this woman?

Yeah very funny:rolleyes:

But...he doesn't like old music exept MJ ( at least he's saying that :unsure:)

My mom loves him my Dad loves him( he always says whenever he sees MJ perform "that is one bad motherfu..... lol) and my sister loves him and just recently a girl I just recently started dating is starting to like him
 
My roommate used to hate any guy who sings in falsetto. So that knocks off Michael and 80% of my music collection :lol:
 
My family actually thinks Mike is a BRILLIANT performer.
They think it's a damn shame that people have been so brainwashed by the media that they can't look past all of the scandals and just look at how he's revolutionized music.
Some of my younger friends are the ones with problems with Mike. I find that most of the people i know born past 1990 or 1991 have no idea what a genius Michael is. That's where i see most of the hate, from the ignorant and impressionable tween scene who think the likes of Vanessa Hudgens or something like that is genius work...

My parents both think he's TREMENDOUSLY talented, but unfortunately, they both dislike him, because they think he's the child molester that the media said he is several years ago. Plus they keep telling me they think he acts "weird" so they don't get why I like him. BUUUUUUUUUT that's okay 'cause I just keep listening to him anyway XP
 
My family are pretty kwl with him, I mean their not exactly as boastin of a fan as I, but they have all said, if it is true, that Michael is coming to the 02', they will be there. So I like to think, like others, they respect the man for what he has done, but their not really happy as they claim ''with what he has done to himself''
 
I'm the only MJ fan in my household, but everyone's afraid to say anything bad about him when I'm in the room. (I'm actually not a scary person at all, I don't know where these people get their ideas from!!)
 
well i used to be one of those "haters" BUT I'M NOT ANYMORE!! and i am responsible for my sisters fanship now :-D along with many from my youth group! :p. my mom started it slightly. she always liked him..but she never knew anything about him past thriller...i guess you could say i threw her into obsession too lol. however...telling my dad i was a fan....wow....i think he would have been nicer if i said i was going to jail for murder :-\.
but i'll work on him later...like...when i show up on the doorstep holding michael's hand i'll say "Daddy. i want you to meet my boyfriend" then THAT'S when i'll convince him that michael is actually a great guy :p lol. hehe i kill me.

but i realize though that this is why these fan sites are so darn important. we can all come together (hehe..come together) and love eachother for our obsessions that others just can't seem to understand for whatever reason ( i swear i could just kill some journalists...then i WOULD be telling my dad i'm going to jail for murder hehe)
 
My mom loves him, dad hates him..When I was in a foster home, my foster family only Prentend to like him. They didn't like him at all.
