ok thanks.....................
Calm down, sheesh, I was just stating my opinion and I didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings. That is never my intent. I've listened to the Jackson Five and the Jacksons a great deal and I have a large collection of their music, so I'm not basing anything on nothing. Its just my take. There are many artists who have made it on their own, with their own talent, far less gifted then Michael, and I know that, given Michael's extraordinary abilities, he could have easily have made it on his own, if he really wanted to, with or without his family. Saying he couldn't have is unrealistic and meaningless since he started with a family act. But the man is a genius and if others less talented have made it on their own, so too could have Michael. His brothers are a part of his history and I respect each and every member of the Jackson family, but that doesn't mean I have to think they're talented or think they add anything to Michael. He's better on his own, in my view and I'm not the only one who feels that way, far from it, in fact.
Yeah! Please do that!

I LOVED this interview. it was really very good.
as far as the tour is concerned. are you kidding me? i would kill to see Michael up there with his brothers and Janet as the friggin opening act!! i doubt if they do do it it would just be all Jackson 5 material. that would just be ridiculous. The way I envision it would be mainly Michael doing his solo stuff and then bringing out his brothers for the Jackson 5 songs. that would be out of this world. i would be first in line to buy a ticket.
I don't see the big whoop of what people are fussing about when it comes to the 'jacksons' argument..
Yes the Jacksons for the most part are talented, but no one can deny that they were out shined by Michael. There is a reason why he is where he is. And Yes there was less talented members of the Jacksons than others, one in particular. But they are talented, I love the Jackson 5 and the Jacksons. But Michael was put in the lead at an early age because he was too magical, he stole the spotlight without trying.
I would like Michael to do solo performances, then do an HBO special which will have suprize guests. THE JACKSONS coming on stage for parts they can do in HIS act. Like Motown medly etc.. But it's HIS show..
I do love the idea of Janet opening though..
P.S. I liked the episode a lot. for many reasons.
I totally agree with all of that! I am a huge fan of The Jacksons/The Jackson 5 as well and believe all the other Jackson brothers are talented, especially Jermaine, but if Michael ever decides to tour again or do a concert special, I would prefer that he perform solo. I mean If all the brothers had to tour again, do you honestly think most people would be going to see them? No, of course not. Michael would be the main attraction of course. Without him you have no show.
I think the idea about having the other brothers come out to do a Motown Medley is a great idea though! That I would love to see, but I'm sorry I have no interest in watching the other brothers perform for 2 hours or whatever it is. I want to see them do maybe a 15 minute set of all their hits with Michael and then they can go lol.
I don't think it really matters because whether Michael shows up on stage alone or with all of his siblings, people will break their collective necks to see them and/or him. Period.Calm down, sheesh, I was just stating my opinion and I didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings. That is never my intent. I think you are mistaken. The Jacksons and J5 had just as many fans as Michael alone. They were called the Black Beatles. The Jackson fan followed MJ's career but it is the jackson music that they long for. There is a world wide desire to see them back again, Here in britain everybody was talking about it. It was reported all over the world when Jermaine said they were reforming, America will turn up in large numbers to see them cause they still remember them and still love them. See the uproar and the elation when they made their last appearance. MJ is magic on stage, but MJ with his 5 brothers are even more astounding, nothing better.
Thank you whisper for this mix-clips of JJ's interview with LK! Even picture is better than from youtube. :]Tried to post this last night but couldn't get in (thanks E for hooking me up)
These are the MJ-related clips of Janet's interview with Larry King Live:

You do not know what people want, you can only speak for yourself. The vibe I get is that a Jackson reunion is big news.Well if this was back in the 70's and early 80's, I would agree with you. MJ and his brothers were something else on stage together back then, but these days I'm afraid it wouldn't work as well given their age and everything. And I know how big The Jacksons were at their prime, but at no time were they are as big as MJ was when he was at his prime as a solo artist. Michael does not need his brothers to sell out worldwide. Michael going on tour overseas by himself would sell out just as fast,if not faster than if he were to tour with his brothers. Old school fans probably prefer MJ with his brothers no doubt, but I still think the majority of the public would prefer to see MJ by himself and really do not care much about the other brothers.
Like I said before though, I have no problem seeing them perform all together but not for an entire concert. I understand that you would like them to reunite but I would just prefer to see MJ tour solo with his brothers only making a minimal appearence.

No one is going to say, 'aw hell naw'... I ani't going to see Michael because he is touring with his brothers and sisters.
Michael is great. Everyone who is a fan of his agrees with this. But as I have stated before, whether one thinks of his family as talented or not, these people are his family and members on this board will respect Michael's family.
I don't understand why these comparison discussions start up in threads like these. This thread is about Janet's interview with LK. Given that she has very kind words for her family and her brother Michael, that is what we should be celebrating and appreciating.
You can! But this thread is not about this. If you want to discuss that, then start another thread. That's the point. Why can't we talk about the J-5 possibly reuniting? It's relevant since Janet talked about it on Larry King last night. No one is being disrespectful or anything, so I don't get what the problem is. This is a discussion board isn't it?
